Esther 5
1 And it was - on the day third and she put on Esther royalty and she stood in [the] court of [the] house of the king inner before [the] house of the king and the king [was] sitting on [the] throne of royalty his in [the] house of royalty before [the] entrance of the house.
Il terzo giorno, quando ebbe finito di pregare, ella si tolse le vesti da schiava e si coprì di tutto il fasto del suo grado. Attraversate una dopo l'altra tutte le porte, si trovò alla presenza del re. Egli era seduto sul trono regale, vestito di tutti gli ornamenti maestosi delle sue comparse.
2 And it was when saw the king Esther the queen standing in the court she bore favor in view his and he extended the king to Esther [the] scepter of gold which [was] in hand his and she drew near Esther and she touched [the] top of the scepter.
Alzato lo scettro d'oro, lo posò sul collo di lei, la baciò e le disse: «Parlami!». Gli disse: «Ti ho visto, signore, come un angelo di Dio e il mio cuore si è agitato davanti alla tua gloria. Perché tu sei meraviglioso, signore, e il tuo volto è pieno d'incanto». Ma mentre parlava, cadde svenuta; il re s'impressionò e tutta la gente del suo seguito cercava di rianimarla.
3 And he said to her the king what? [is] to you O Esther the queen and what? [is] request your up to half of the kingdom so it may be given to you.
Allora il re le disse: «Che vuoi, Ester, qual è la tua richiesta? Fosse pure metà del mio regno, l'avrai!».
4 And she said Esther if [is] on the king good let him come the king and Haman this day to the feast which I have made for him.
Ester rispose: «Se così piace al re, venga oggi il re con Amàn al banchetto che gli ho preparato».
5 And he said the king bring quickly Haman to do [the] word of Esther and he came the king and Haman to the feast which she had made Esther.
Il re disse: «Convocate subito Amàn, per far ciò che Ester ha detto». Il re andò dunque con Amàn al banchetto che Ester aveva preparato.
6 And he said the king to Esther at [the] feast of wine what? [is] petition your sp it may be given to you and what? [is] request your up to half of the kingdom and it may be done.
Il re disse a Ester, mentre si beveva il vino: «Qual è la tua richiesta? Ti sarà concessa. Che desideri? Fosse anche la metà del regno, sarà fatto!».
7 And she answered Esther and she said petition my and request my.
Ester rispose: «Ecco la mia richiesta e quel che desidero:
8 If I have found favor in [the] eyes of the king and if [is] on the king good to grant petition my and to do request my let him come the king and Haman to the feast which I will make for them and tomorrow I will do according to [the] word of the king.
se ho trovato grazia agli occhi del re e se piace al re di concedermi quello che chiedo e di soddisfare il mio desiderio, venga il re con Amàn anche domani al banchetto che io preparerò loro e io risponderò alla domanda del re».
9 And he went out Haman on the day that joyful and good of heart and just as saw Haman Mordecai at [the] gate of the king and not he stood up and not he trembled from him and he was filled Haman towards Mordecai rage.
Amàn quel giorno uscì lieto e con il cuore contento, ma quando vide alla porta del re Mardocheo che non si alzava né si muoveva per lui, fu preso d'ira contro Mardocheo.
10 And he restrained himself Haman and he went to house his and he sent and he gathered friends his and Zeresh wife his.
Tuttavia Amàn si trattenne, andò a casa e mandò a chiamare i suoi amici e Zeres sua moglie.
11 And he recounted to them Haman [about] [the] splendor of wealth his and [the] multitude of sons his and [about] all that he had made great him the king and this: he had exalted him above the officials and [the] servants of the king.
Amàn parlò loro della magnificenza delle sue ricchezze, del gran numero dei suoi figli, di quanto il re aveva fatto per renderlo grande e come l'aveva innalzato sopra i capi e i ministri del re.
12 And he said Haman also not she let come [anyone] Esther the queen with the king to the feast which she had prepared that except me and also for tomorrow I [am] invited by her with the king.
Aggiunse: «Anche la regina Ester non ha invitato con il re nessun altro se non me al banchetto che ha dato; anche per domani sono invitato da lei con il re.
13 And all this not it [is] adequate for me at any time when I [am] seeing Mordecai the Jew sitting at [the] gate of the king.
Ma tutto questo non mi basta, fin quando io vedrò Mardocheo, il Giudeo, restar seduto alla porta del re».
14 And she said to him Zeresh wife his and all friends his let people make a gallows high fifty cubit[s] and in the morning - speak to the king so people may hang Mordecai on it and go with the king to the feast joyful and it was good the word before Haman and he made the gallows.
Allora sua moglie Zeres e tutti i suoi amici gli dissero: «Si prepari un palo alto cinquanta cubiti e tu domani mattina dì al re che vi sia impiccato Mardocheo; poi và pure contento al banchetto con il re». La cosa piacque ad Amàn che fece preparare il palo.
