Esther 10

1 And he put the king (Ahasuerus *Q(K)*) a tax on the land and [the] islands of the sea.

Raja Ahasyweros mengadakan kerja paksa, bukan hanya pada rakyat di daerah-daerah pantai laut dalam kerajaannya, tetapi juga di daerah-daerah pedalaman.

2 And all [the] achievement of power his and might his and [the] full account of [the] greatness of Mordecai whom he had made great him the king ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] words of the days of [the] kings of Media and Persia.

Segala perbuatannya yang besar dan hebat, dan juga kisah lengkap tentang bagaimana ia mengangkat Mordekhai menjadi pejabat tinggi, tercatat dalam buku sejarah raja-raja Persia dan Media.

3 For - Mordecai the Jew [was] second to the king Ahasuerus and [was] great to the Jews and was acceptable to [the] multitude of brothers his seeking good for people his and speaking peace to all offspring his.

Mordekhai, orang Yahudi itu tetap menduduki jabatan tertinggi di bawah Raja Ahasyweros sendiri. Mordekhai dihormati dan disukai oleh orang-orang sebangsanya. Ia berjuang untuk keselamatan dan kesejahteraan bangsanya serta seluruh keturunan mereka.
