Ephesians 4
1 Exhort therefore you I myself the prisoner in [the] Lord worthily to walk of the calling to which you were called,
Protož prosímť vás já vězeň v Pánu, abyste hodně chodili, jakž sluší na povolání vaše, kterýmž povoláni jste,
2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
Se vší pokorou, tichostí, i s snášelivostí, snášejíce se vespolek v lásce,
3 being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace,
Usilujíce zachovávati jednotu Ducha v svazku pokoje.
4 one body and one Spirit even as also you were called into one hope of the calling of you;
Jedno jest tělo, a jeden Duch, jakož i povoláni jste v jedné naději povolání vašeho.
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Jeden Pán, jedna víra, jeden křest,
6 one God and Father of all, who [is] over all and through all [times] and in all (in you. *K(O)*)
Jeden Bůh a Otec všech, kterýž jest nade všecko, a skrze všecko, i ve všech vás.
7 One now to each of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Jednomu pak každému z nás dána jest milost podle míry obdarování Kristova.
8 Therefore it says: Having ascended on high He led captive captivity, (and *ko*) he gave gifts to men.
Protož dí Písmo: Vstoupiv na výsost, jaté vedl vězně, a dal dary lidem.
9 And He ascended, what is [this] only except that also He descended (first *K*) into the lower regions of the earth?
Ale to, že vstoupil, co jest, jediné že i sstoupil prve do nejnižších stran země?
10 The [One] having descended [the] same is also [one] having ascended above all the heavens, so that He may fill all things.
Ten pak, jenž sstoupil, onť jest, kterýž i vstoupil vysoko nade všecka nebesa, aby naplnil všecko.
11 And He himself gave some indeed [to be] apostles, some however prophets, some however evangelists, some however shepherds and teachers,
A onť jest dal některé zajisté apoštoly, některé pak proroky, jiné evangelisty, jiné pastýře a učitele,
12 toward the perfecting of the saints for [the] work of ministry, for [the] building up of the body of Christ;
Pro spořádání svatých, k dílu služebnosti, k vzdělání těla Kristova,
13 until we may attain all to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a man a complete, to [the] measure of [the] stature of the fullness of Christ;
Až bychom se sběhli všickni v jednotu víry a známosti Syna Božího, v muže dokonalého, v míru postavy plného věku Kristova,
14 so that no longer we may be infants being tossed by waves and being carried about by every wind of teaching in the cunning of men in craftiness with a view to the scheming of deceit,
Abychom již více nebyli děti, zmítající se a točící každým větrem učení v neustavičnosti lidské, v chytrosti k oklamávání lstivému;
15 Speaking the truth however in love we may grow up into Him in all things who is the head, (*k*) Christ
Ale pravdu činíce v lásce, rosťme v něj všelikterak, v toho, kterýž jest hlava, totiž Kristus,
16 from whom all the body being joined together and being held together through every ligament of [its] supply according to [the] working in [the] measure individual of each part the increase of the body makes for itself to [the] building up of itself in love.
Z kteréhožto všecko tělo příslušně spojené a svázané po všech kloubích přisluhování, podle vnitřní moci v míru jednoho každého údu, zrůst těla činí, k vzdělání svému v lásce.
17 This therefore I say and I testify in [the] Lord No longer [are] you to walk even as also the (rest of *K*) Gentiles are walking in [the] futility of the mind of them,
A protož totoť pravím a osvědčuji v Pánu, abyste již více nechodili, jako i jiní pohané chodí, v marnosti mysli své,
18 (darkened *N(k)O*) in the understanding being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance which is being in them, on account of the hardness of the heart of them;
Zatemnění v rozumu, odcizeni jsouce od života Božího, pro neznámost, kteráž jest v nich z zatvrzení srdce jejich.
19 who having cast off all feeling themselves they gave up to sensuality for [the] working of impurity all with greediness.
Kteřížto zoufavše sobě, vydali se v nestydatost, aby všelikou nečistotu páchali s chtivostí.
20 you yourselves however not this way learned Christ,
Ale vy ne tak jste se vyučili následovati Krista,
21 if indeed Him you have heard and in Him were taught, even as is [the] truth in Jesus,
Ač jestliže jste ho slyšeli a o něm byli vyučeni, jakž ta jest pravda v Ježíšovi,
22 Are to have put off you concerning the former way of life the old man which is being corrupted according to [its] desires of deceit,
Totiž, složiti ono první obcování podle starého člověka, rušícího se, podle žádostí oklamávajících,
23 to be renewed then in the spirit of the mind of you
Obnoviti se pak duchem mysli vaší,
24 and to have put on the new man according to God having been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
A obléci nového člověka, podle Boha stvořeného, v spravedlnosti a v svatosti pravdy.
25 Therefore having put off falsehood do speak truth each one with the neighbour of him, because we are of one another members.
Protož složíce lež, mluvtež pravdu jeden každý s bližním svým; nebo jsme vespolek údové.
26 do be angry and yet not do sin; The sun not should set upon the anger of you;
Hněvejte se, a nehřešte; slunce nezapadej na hněvivost vaši.
27 (neither *N(k)O*) do give opportunity to the devil.
Nedávejte místa ďáblu.
28 who is stealing no longer he should steal, rather however he should toil working with [their] own hands what [is] good, so that he may have [something] to impart to the [one] need having.
Kdo kradl, již více nekraď, ale raději pracuj, dělaje rukama svýma, což dobrého jest, aby měl z čeho uděliti nuznému.
29 Any word unwholesome out of the mouth of you not should go forth but if any good for edification of the need, so that it shall give grace to those hearing.
Žádná řeč mrzutá nevycházej z úst vašich, ale ať jest každé promluvení dobré k vzdělání užitečnému, aby dalo milost posluchačům.
30 And not do grieve the Spirit Holy of God in whom you were sealed for [the] day of redemption.
A nezarmucujte Ducha svatého Božího, kterýmžto znamenáni jste ke dni vykoupení.
31 All bitterness and rage and anger and clamor and slander should be removed from you along with all malice.
Všeliká hořkost, a rozzlobení se, i hněv, i křik, i rouhání buď odjato od vás, se vší zlostí,
32 do be now to one another kind, tender-hearted, forgiving each other even as also God in Christ forgave (you. *NK(O)*)
Ale buďte k sobě vespolek dobrotiví, milosrdní, odpouštějíce sobě vespolek, jakož i Bůh v Kristu odpustil vám.
