Ephesians 1
1 Paul an apostle of Christ Jesus through [the] will of God To the saints who are being in Ephesus and faithful in Christ Jesus;
Paulus, ved Guds vilje Kristi Jesu apostel - til de hellige i Efesus, som tror på Kristus Jesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God [the] Father of us and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
Nåde være med eder og fred fra Gud vår Fader og den Herre Jesus Kristus!
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of the Lord of us Jesus Christ, the [One] having blessed us with every blessing spiritual in the heavenly realms in Christ,
Lovet være Gud og vår Herre Jesu Kristi Fader, han som har velsignet oss med all åndelig velsignelse i himmelen i Kristus,
4 even as He chose us in Him before [the] foundation of [the] world to be for us holy and blameless before Him in love
likesom han utvalgte oss i ham før verdens grunnvoll blev lagt, forat vi skulde være hellige og ulastelige for hans åsyn,
5 having predestined us for divine adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself according to the good pleasure of the will of Him
idet han i kjærlighet forut bestemte oss til å få barnekår hos sig ved Jesus Kristus efter sin viljes frie råd,
6 to [the] praise of [the] glory of the of grace of Him, (in *K*) (which *N(k)O*) He has freely given us in the Beloved [One],
til pris for sin nådes herlighet, som han gav oss i den elskede,
7 in whom we have redemption through the blood of Him, the forgiveness of trespasses, according to (the riches *N(k)O*) of the grace of Him,
i hvem vi har forløsningen ved hans blod, syndenes forlatelse, efter hans nådes rikdom,
8 which He lavished upon us in all wisdom and in understanding
som han rikelig gav oss i og med all visdom og forstand,
9 having made known to us the mystery of the will of Him according to the pleasure of Him, which He purposed in Him
idet han kunngjorde oss sin viljes hemmelighet efter sitt frie råd, som han fattet hos sig selv
10 for [the] administration of the fullness of the times, to bring together the all things in Christ, the [things] (then *k*) (in *N(k)O*) the heavens and the [things] upon the earth, in Him,
om en husholdning i tidenes fylde: at han atter vilde samle alt til ett i Kristus, både det som er i himlene, og det som er på jorden;
11 in whom also we have obtained an inheritance having been predestined according to [the] purpose of the [One] all things working according to the counsel of the will of Him
han i hvem vi også har fått arvelodd, efterat vi forut var bestemt til det efter hans forsett som virker alt efter sin viljes råd,
12 for to be us to [the] praise (of the *k*) glory of Him, the [ones] having first trusted in Christ;
forat vi skulde være hans hellighet til pris, vi som forut hadde håpet på Kristus;
13 in whom also you yourselves having heard the word of truth, the gospel of the salvation of you, in whom also having believed you were sealed with the Spirit of promise Holy
i ham har også I, da I hadde hørt sannhetens ord, evangeliet om eders frelse - i ham har I og, da I var kommet til troen, fått til innsegl den Hellige Ånd, som var oss lovt,
14 (who *N(k)O*) is [the] guarantee of the inheritance of us to [the] redemption of the acquired [possession] to [the] praise of the glory of Him.

15 Because of this I myself also I myself also having heard of the among you faith in the Lord Jesus and the love toward all the saints
Derfor, efterat jeg har hørt om eders tro på den Herre Jesus og om eders kjærlighet til alle de hellige,
16 not do cease giving thanks for you mention (of you *k*) making in the prayers of mine
holder jeg ikke op med å takke for eder når jeg kommer eder i hu i mine bønner,
17 that the God of the Lord of us Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, (may give *NK(o)*) to you [a] spirit of wisdom and revelation in [the] knowledge of Him,
at vår Herre Jesu Kristi Gud, herlighetens Fader, måtte gi eder visdoms og åpenbarings Ånd til kunnskap om sig,
18 enlightened [are] the eyes of the (heart *N(K)O*) of you in order for to know you what is the hope of the calling of Him, (and *k*) what [are] the riches of the glory of the inheritance of Him in the saints,
og gi eders hjerte oplyste øine, så I kan forstå hvilket håp det er han har kalt eder til, og hvor rik på herlighet hans arv er iblandt de hellige,
19 and what [is] the surpassing greatness of the power of Him toward us those believing according to the working of the might of the strength of Him,
og hvor overvettes stor hans makt er for oss som tror, efter virksomheten av hans veldige kraft,
20 which (He worked *NK(o)*) in Christ having raised Him out from (the *o*) dead and (having sat *N(k)O*) (him *O*) at [the] right hand of Him in the heavenly realms
som han viste på Kristus da han opvakte ham fra de døde og satte ham ved sin høire hånd i himmelen,
21 above every principality and authority and power and dominion and every name being named not only in age this but also in the [one] coming, (aiōn g165)

22 And all things He put under the feet of Him and Him gave [to be] head over all things to the church
og han la alt under hans føtter og gav ham som hoved over alle ting til menigheten,
23 which is the body of Him, the fullness of the [One] all in all filling.
som er hans legeme, fylt av ham som fyller alt i alle.
