< Ecclesiastes 9 >
1 For all this I have given to heart my and to make clear all this that the righteous and the wise and deeds their [are] in [the] hand of God both love as well as hatred not [is] knowing humankind everything [is] before them.
A lathueng lah dei tangcoung e naw hah kai ni ka pouk navah, tamikalan hoi tami lungkaangnaw teh, a tawksak e hno khuehoi Cathut kut dawk ao. Tami pueng ni amamae hmalah lengkaleng kaawm e lungpatawnae hoi hmuhmanae hah panuek awh hoeh.
2 All [is] just as for all fate one [belongs] to the righteous and to the wicked to the good (and to the evil *X*) and to the clean and to the unclean and to the [one who] sacrifices and to [one] who not he [is] sacrificing as the good [person] as the sinner the [one who] swears an oath just as an oath [one] fearing.
Tami pueng e lathueng vah reikâvan e hno a tâco. Tami kalan hoi kalan hoeh e, tami kahawi hoi kahawihoeh e, tami kathoung hoi kathounghoehe, thuengnae ka sak hoi ka sak hoeh e, yonnae ka tawn hoeh e hoi ka tawn e, thoekâbo e tami hoi kâbo hoeh e taminaw lathueng hai reikâvan e hno a tâco.
3 This - [is] an evil in all that it is done under the sun for fate one [belongs] to everyone and also [the] heart of [the] children of humankind [is] full evil and madness [is] in heart their in lives their and after it to the dead.
Hethateh, kanî rahim vah sak e reikâvan e hawihoehnae tami pueng ni a kâhmo e hno doeh. Atang katang lah taminaw e lungthin teh yonnae hoi akawi. A hring awh nathung vah, pathunae lung a tawn awh teh bout a due awh.
4 For who? [is [the] one] who (he is united *Q(K)*) to all the living there [is] hope for to a dog living it [is] good more than the lion dead.
Ka hring e taminaw hoi kâkuennaw teh ngaihawinae ao. Kahring e ui teh kadout e sendek hlak bet ahawi.
5 For the living [are] knowing that they will die and the dead not they [are] knowing anything and not still [belongs] to them a reward for it is forgotten memory their.
Kahring e tami ni a due hane a panue. Ka dout e ni teh banghai panuek hoeh. Tawkphu awm hoeh toe. Ama hai pahnim awh toe.
6 Both love their as well as hatred their as well as envy their already it has perished and a portion not [belongs] to them again for ever in all that it is done under the sun.
Ahnie lungpatawnae, maithoenae, utnae hai a kahma toe. Kanî rahim vah sak e hno dawk ayânaw hoi rei coe mahoeh toe.
7 Go eat with gladness food your and drink with a heart good wine your for already he has taken pleasure in God deeds your.
Cet nateh lunghawi lahoi rawca cat leih. Lunghawi lahoi misurtui net leih. Nang ni na sak e naw pueng Cathut ni lung na kuepkhai.
8 At every time let them be clothes your white and oil on head your may not it be lacking.
Na khohna hai pou pangaw naseh. Na lû dawk e satui hai phui sak hanh.
9 See life with a wife whom you love all [the] days of [the] life of futility your which he has given to you under the sun all [the] days of futility your for that [is] portion your in life and in toil your which you [are] a laborer under the sun.
Kanî rahim na poe e ahrawnghrang hring nathung, na lungpataw e yu hoi kanawmcalah hringnae atueng loum sak haw. Hetteh, hring na thung kanî rahim vah panki thapatho e dawk coe e doeh.
10 All that it finds hand your to do with strength your do for there not [is] work and explanation and knowledge and wisdom in Sheol where you [are] going there towards. (Sheol )
Tawk hane kaawm e pueng hah thahmei laihoi tawk awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, atu na cei teh na pha hane hmu e, tami kadout kho teh thaw tawknae, kho pouknae, thoumthainae, lungangnae hai awm mahoeh toe. (Sheol )
11 I returned and I saw under the sun that not [belongs] to the swift the race and not [belongs] to the mighty [men] the battle and also not [belongs] to wise [people] food and also not [belongs] to the understanding wealth and also not [belongs] to the knowledgeable favor for time and chance it happens to all of them.
Kanî rahim kaawm e naw pueng bout ka khet navah, a hue karang poung e tami hai ouk tâ hoeh. Atha kaawm poung ni taran a tuk ei, ouk tâ hoeh. A lungkaang ni ka boum lah ouk cat hoeh. A ratho kahawi ni hnopai ouk hmawt hoeh. Lawk ka ngai e teh tami hmalah minhmai kahawi ouk hmawt hoeh. Tami pueng koe atueng akuepnae, coungkacoenae patetlah doeh ouk ao tie hah ka hmu.
12 For also not he knows humankind time his like fish that [are] caught in a net evil and like birds that are caught in snare like them [are] ensnared [the] children of humankind to a time evil when that falls on them suddenly.
Tami ni amae atueng hah ouk panuek hoeh. Tamlawk dawk kâman e tanga patetlah tangkam dawk kâman e tava patetlah taminaw ni runae thungvah pouk laipalah a kâman awh toe.
13 Also this I have seen wisdom under the sun and [was] great it to me.
Kanî rahim oup han kawi lah ka hmu e lungangnae teh,
14 A city small and men in it [were] few and he came against it a king great and he surrounded it and he built on it siege works great.
khoca kayoun e kho buet touh ao. Siangpahrang kalen e a tho teh, hote kho lawilah ao awh teh, ransanaw moikapap hoi a kalup awh.
15 And someone found in it a man poor wise and he delivered he the city by wisdom his and anyone not he remembered the man poor (that. *L(abh)*)
Hote kho dawk kaawm e mathoe ca a lungkaang e buet touh ni, amae lungangnae lahoi hote kho teh a hlout sak. Hatei, hote mathoe ca hah apinihai noutna awh hoeh.
16 And I said I [is] good wisdom more than strength and [the] wisdom of the poor [person] [is] despised and words his not they [are] listened to.
Hatnavah, ka dei ngai e teh, lungangnae teh thasainae hlak ahawi. Hatei, mathoe ca e lungangnae teh banglahai ouk noutna awh hoeh. A lawk hai ngai a pouh hoeh.
17 [the] words of Wise [people] in quietness [are] heard more than [the] cry of a ruler among fools.
Ka ukkung ni kapathunaw e hramkikhai e lawk ngâi e hlakvah, soumtinae koe tami lungkaang ni dei e lawk doeh a ngâi pouh.
18 [is] good Wisdom more than weapons of war and a sinner one he will destroy good much.
Lungangnae teh senehmaica hlak bet ahawi. Yonnae ka sak e haiyah hno kahawinaw hah ouk a raphoe.
