Deuteronomy 9
1 Hear O Israel you [are] about to pass over this day the Jordan to go to dispossess nations great and mighty more than you cities large and fortified in the heavens.
Israel nang loh hnatun lah. Nang lakah aka len tih aka tlung khopuei dangka neh vong cak loh vaan duela aka sang namtom rhoek te paan ham neh huul hamla tihnin ah Jordan ke kat laeh.
2 A people great and lofty [the] descendants of [the] Anakites whom you you know and you you have heard who? will he stand before [the] descendants of Anak.
Anakim ca rhoek tah pilnam khaw len tih sang. Te te na ming tih na yaak coeng. Anakim ca rhoek kah mikhmuh ah unim aka pai?
3 And you will know this day that Yahweh God your he [is] the [one who] is about to pass over before you a fire consuming he he will destroy them and he he will subdue them before you and you will dispossess them and you will destroy them quickly just as he spoke Yahweh to you.
BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang hmai ah a caeh hnin te ming lah. Amih te hmai loh a hlawp vetih a mitmoeng sak ni. Amih te na mikhmuh ah a kunyun sak vetih na huul bitni. Te vaengah BOEIPA loh nang n'uen vanbangla amih te na milh sak banlak bitni.
4 May not you say in heart your when drives out Yahweh God your them - from to before you saying in righteousness my he has brought me Yahweh to take possession of the land this and in [the] wickedness of the nations these Yahweh [is] dispossessing them from before you.
BOEIPA na Pathen loh amih te na mikhmuh lamkah a haek vaengah na thinko neh, “Ka duengnah neh he khohmuen pang sak ham BOEIPA loh kai n'khuen,” ti rhoe ti boeh. Tedae he namtom rhoek he a halangnah dongah ni BOEIPA loh nangmih mikhmuh lamkah a haek.
5 Not in righteousness your and in [the] uprightness of heart your you [are] about to go to take possession of land their for in [the] wickedness of - the nations these Yahweh God your [is] dispossessing them from before you and so as to carry out the word which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob.
Na duengnah neh na thinko a dueng dongah amih khohmuen pang ham na caeh moenih. Tedae he namtom rhoek kah halangnah dongah ni BOEIPA na Pathen loh amih te nangmih mikhmuh lamkah a haek tih na pa rhoek Abraham, Isaak, Jakob taengah BOEIPA loh ol a caeng te a thoh.
6 And you will know that not in righteousness your Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you the land good this to take possession of it for [are] a people stiff of neck you.
Te dongah na duengnah neh nang pilnam rhawn cak te khohmuen then pang sak ham BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang m'paek moenih tila ming lah.
7 Remember may not you forget this: you provoked to anger Yahweh God your in the wilderness from the day when you came out - from [the] land of Egypt until came you to the place this rebelling you have been with Yahweh.
Khosoek ah BOEIPA na Pathen thin na toek sak uh te hnilh mueh la poek. Egypt kho na nong tak uh hnin lamloh he hmuen na pha uh due BOEIPA aka koek la khoeng na om uh.
8 And at Horeb you provoked to anger Yahweh and he was angry Yahweh with you to destroy you.
Horeb ah khaw BOEIPA thin na toek sak uh dongah nangmih mit sak ham duela nangmih taengah BOEIPA loh a thintoek.
9 When went up I the mountain towards to receive [the] tablets of stone [the] tablets of the covenant which he had made Yahweh with you and I remained on the mountain forty day[s] and forty night[s] food not I ate and water not I drank.
Lungto cabael rhoi doe hamla tlang la ka luei. Te tah BOEIPA loh nangmih taengah a saii paipi cabael ni. Te vaengah tlang ah khohnin sawmli neh khoyin sawmli buh caak mueh neh tui ok mueh la kho ka sak.
10 And he gave Yahweh to me [the] two [the] tablets of stone inscribed by [the] finger of God and [were] on them like all the words which he had spoken Yahweh with you on the mountain from [the] middle of the fire on [the] day of the assembly.
Hlangping hnin ah BOEIPA loh tlang ah nangmih ham hmai khui lamkah a thui ol te lungto cabael panit dongah Pathen kutdawn loh rhuemtuet la a daek tih BOEIPA amah loh kai taengah m'paek.
11 And it was from [the] end of forty day[s] and forty night[s] he gave Yahweh to me [the] two [the] tablets of stone [the] tablets of the covenant.
Khothaih likip neh khoyin likip bawtnah dongah BOEIPA loh paipi cabael la lungto cabael rhoi te kai m'paek.
12 And he said Yahweh to me arise go down quickly from here for it has acted corruptly people your which you brought out from Egypt they have turned aside quickly from the way which I commanded them they have made for themselves a molten image.
Te vaengah BOEIPA loh kai taengah, “Thoo, he lamloh a loe la suntla laeh. Egypt lamkah nang khuen na pilnam loh poci coeng. Amih taengah longpuei ka uen te vawl nong uh tih amamih ham mueihlawn a saii uh,” a ti.
13 And he said Yahweh to me saying I have seen the people this and there! [is] a people stiff of neck it.
Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh kai m'voek bal tih, “Pilnam he ka sawt vaengah a rhawn khaw mangkhak la aka om pilnam rhoe la he.
14 Refrain from me so I may destroy them and I may wipe out name their from under the heavens so I may make you into a nation mighty and great more than it.
Kamah bueng he om mai lamtah amih te ka mit sak mai eh. A ming te khaw vaan hmui lamloh ka phae mai eh. Nang te tah namtom pilnu neh anih lakah hlangping ngai la kan saii bitni,” a ti.
15 And I turned and I went down from the mountain and the mountain [was] burning with fire and [the] two [the] tablets of the covenant [were] on [the] two hands my.
Te dongah tlang lamloh ka mael tih ka suntlak vaengah tlang te hmai loh a dom coeng. Te vaengah paipi lungpael rhoi te ka kut rhoi dongah ka poem.
16 And I saw and there! you had sinned to Yahweh God your you had made for yourselves a calf of molten metal you had turned aside quickly from the way which he had commanded Yahweh you.
Te vaengah nangmih loh BOEIPA kah a uen longpuei lamkah vilvak na nong uh. Vaitoca kah mueihlawn te namamih ham na saii uh tih BOEIPA na Pathen taengah na tholh uh te kak ka hmuh.
17 And I seized [the] two the tablets and I threw them from on [the] two hands my and I broke them to eyes your.
Te dongah lungpael panit te ka tuuk tih ka kut rhoi dong lamkah ka voeih tih nangmih mikhmuh ah ka rhek sak.
18 And I prostrated myself before Yahweh like the former [time] forty day[s] and forty night[s] food not I ate and water not I drank on all sin your which you had sinned by doing the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh to provoke to anger him.
Te phoeiah lamhma kah bangla khothaih likip neh khoyin likip BOEIPA mikhmuh ah ka bakop tih buh ka ca pawh, tui khaw ka o pawh. Namamih kah tholh cungkuem neh laihmuh la a mikhmuh ah thae na saii uh neh BOEIPA na veet uh.
19 For I was afraid of the anger and the rage which he was angry Yahweh towards you to destroy you and he listened Yahweh to me also at the time that.
Nangmih phae ham pataeng BOEIPA loh nangmih taengah a thintoek tih a thintoek neh a kosi te sut ka rhih. Tedae te tue ah BOEIPA loh ka ol koep a hnatun.
20 And with Aaron he was angry Yahweh exceedingly to destroy him and I prayed also for Aaron at the time (that *L(abh)*)
Aaron taengah khaw anih phae ham duela BOEIPA loh bahoeng a thintoek. Tedae te vaeng tue ah Aaron ham khaw ka thangthui pah.
21 and sin your which you had made the calf I took and I burned it - with fire and I crushed it grinding [it] well until that it was fine dust and I threw dust its into the wadi which was coming down from the mountain.
Na khoeng na voep na saii uh vaitoca te khaw ka loh tih hmai neh ka hoeh. Te phoeiah laipi bangla a tip hil vuetvuet ka neet tih ka phom. Te phoeiah tlang lamkah aka long soklong ah laipi bangla ka voeih.
22 And at Taberah and at Massah and at Kibroth Hattaavah provoking to anger you were Yahweh.
Taberah ah khaw, Massah ah khaw, Kiborthhattaavah ah khaw BOEIPA kah thintoek ham koi la khoeng na om uh.
23 And when sent Yahweh you from Kadesh Barnea saying go up and take possession of the land which I have given to you and you rebelled against [the] mouth of Yahweh God your and not you believed him and not you listened to voice his.
BOEIPA loh nangmih te, “Nangmih kam paek khohmuen te cet uh lamtah pang uh,” a ti. Kadeshbarnea lamkah n'tueih vaengah khaw BOEIPA na Pathen kah ol te na koek uh bal. Amah te na tangnah uh pawt tih a ol te na hnatun uh pawh.
24 Rebelling you have been with Yahweh from [the] day knew I you.
Ka ming paek lamloh nangmih he BOEIPA aka koek lam ni khoeng na om uh.
25 And I prostrated myself before Yahweh [the] forty the day[s] and [the] forty the night[s] which I prostrated myself for he had said Yahweh to destroy you.
“BOEIPA mikhmuh ah khothaih likip neh khoyin likip ka bakop te khaw BOEIPA loh nangmih mitmoeng sak ham a thui dongah ni ka bakop.
26 And I prayed to Yahweh and I said O Lord Yahweh may not you destroy people your and inheritance your which you redeemed by greatness your which you brought out from Egypt by a hand strong.
Te vaengah BOEIPA taengah ka thangthui tih, ‘Ka Boeipa Yahovah aw, namah kah boeilennah dongah na lat tih tlungluen kut neh Egypt lamkah na loh na pilnam neh na rho te phae boel mai saw.
27 Remember servants your Abraham Isaac and Jacob may not you turn to [the] stubbornness of the people this and to wickedness its and to sin its.
Na sal rhoek Abraham, Isaak neh Jakob te poek lamtah pilnam kah mangkhak neh tholh halangnah te mael thil boel mai.
28 Lest they should say the land where you brought out us from there because not was able Yahweh to bring them into the land which he spoke to them and from hatred his them he led out them to put to death them in the wilderness.
Kaimih nang khuen nah khohmuen long tah, “Amih ham a thui pah khohmuen la amih khuen ham te BOEIPA loh coeng thai pawt tih amah kah hmuhuetnah la a om dongah khosoek ah duek sak ham ni amih te a khuen,” ti uh lah ve.
29 And they [are] people your and inheritance your which you brought out by strength your great and by arm your outstretched.
Tedae amih he na pilnam neh na rho ni. Te dongah ni na thadueng len neh na khuen tih na ban loh a lam thil,’ ka ti nah.”
