Deuteronomy 7
1 If he will bring you Yahweh God your into the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it and he will clear away nations many - from before you the Hittite[s] and the Girgashite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Hivite[s] and the Jebusite[s] seven nations great and mighty more than you.
El Señor tu Dios te va a guiar a la tierra que estás tomando y expulsará delante de ti a muchas otras naciones: a los hititas, a los gergeseos, a los amorreos, a los cananeos, a los ferezeos, a los heveos y a los jebuseos, siete naciones que son más grandes y fuertes que tú.
2 And he will deliver up them Yahweh God your before you and you will strike down them certainly you will totally destroy them not you will make to them a covenant and not you will show favor to them.
Cuando el Señor tu Dios te los entregue para que los derrotes, entonces debes apartarlos para la destrucción. No hagas ningún tratado de paz con ellos y no les muestres ninguna piedad.
3 And not you will intermarry with them daughter your not you will give to son his and daughter his not you will take for son your.
No te cases con ellos. No dejes que tus hijas se casen con sus hijos o que sus hijas se casen con tus hijos,
4 For he will turn aside son your from after me and they will serve gods other and it will burn [the] anger of Yahweh on you and he will destroy you quickly.
porque alejarán a tus hijos de mi, para que vayan a adorar a otros dioses. Entonces el Señor se enfadará contigo y vendrá rápidamente a matarte.
5 That except thus you will do to them altars their you will break down and sacred pillars their you will shatter and Asherah poles their you will cut down! and images their you will burn! with fire.
Por el contrario, esto es lo que debes hacer con ellos: derribar sus altares, derribar sus pilares idólatras, cortar sus postes de Asera y quemar sus ídolos.
6 For [are] a people holy you to Yahweh God your you he has chosen - Yahweh God your to become for him a people of possession from all the peoples which [are] on [the] surface of the ground.
Porque tú eres el Señor, el pueblo santo de tu Dios. El Señor tu Dios te ha elegido para ser su propio pueblo especial, valorado por encima de todos los demás pueblos de la tierra.
7 Not because were numerous you more than all the peoples he loved Yahweh you and he chose you for you [were] the few from all the peoples.
No fue por ser numerosos que el Señor los amó más que a cualquier otra nación; de hecho, los eligió a pesar de ser tan pocos.
8 For from [the] love of Yahweh you (and because kept he *L(abh)*) the oath which he swore to ancestors your he brought out Yahweh you by a hand strong and he redeemed you from a house of slaves from [the] hand of Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt.
Pero como el Señor los amó y cumplió la promesa que hizo a sus antepasados, los sacó con su poder y los rescató de la cárcel de la esclavitud, del dominio del Faraón, rey de Egipto.
9 And you will know that Yahweh God your he [is] God the God faithful [who] keeps the covenant and covenant loyalty to [those who] love him and to [those who] keep (commandments his *Q(K)*) to a thousand generation[s].
Por eso puedes estar seguro de que el Señor tu Dios es el verdadero Dios, el Dios fiel que cumple su acuerdo basado en un amor digno de confianza a mil generaciones de los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos.
10 And [who] repays to [those who] hate him to face his by destroying him not he delays to [the] [one who] hates him to face his he repays to him.
Pero no duda en pagar a los que le odian, destruyéndolos.
11 And you will keep the commandment and the statutes and the judgments which I [am] commanding you this day to observe them.
Así que guarden los mandamientos, preceptos y normas que les doy para que los sigan hoy.
12 And it will be - consequence you will hear! the judgments these and you will take care and you will observe them and he will keep Yahweh God your to you the covenant and covenant loyalty which he swore to ancestors your.
Si escuchas estas preceptos y te preocupas por cumplirlas, entonces el Señor tu Dios cumplirá su acuerdo y el amor fiel que les prometió a tus antepasados.
13 And he will love you and he will bless you and he will increase you and he will bless [the] fruit of womb your and [the] fruit of ground your grain your and new wine your and fresh oil your [the] young of cattle your and [the] young ones of flock your on the land which he swore to ancestors your to give to you.
Él te amará y te bendecirá y te dará muchos descendientes. Bendecirá a tus hijos y a las cosechas que produzca tu tierra – tu grano, tu vino nuevo y el aceite de oliva, así como los terneros y corderos de tus rebaños – en la tierra que les prometió a tus antepasados.
14 Blessed you will be more than all the peoples not he will be among you a sterile [male] and a barren [female] and among livestock your.
Serás más bendecido que cualquier otra nación; ninguno de ustedesse quedará sin hijos, y ninguno de sus ganados dejará de tener crías.
15 And he will remove Yahweh from you every sickness and all [the] diseases of Egypt harmful which you experienced not he will put them on you and he will set them on all [those who] hate you.
El Señor te guardará de toda enfermedad. No te dejará tener ninguna de las terribles enfermedades que viste en Egipto, pero dejará que todos los que te odian las padezcan.
16 And you will consume all the peoples which Yahweh God your [is] about to deliver up to you not it will look with pity eye your on them and not you will serve gods their for [will be] a snare it to you.
Destruirás todas las naciones que el Señor tu Dios te entregue. No las mires con simpatía. No adores a sus dioses, porque eso terminará siendo una trampa para ti.
17 For you will say in heart your [are] great the nations these more than I how? will I be able to dispossess them.
Podrán pensar: “Estas naciones son más fuertes que nosotros. ¿Cómo podemos expulsarlas?”
18 Not you must be afraid from them carefully you will remember [that] which he did Yahweh God your to Pharaoh and to all Egypt.
Pero no les tengan miedo. Asegúrense de recordar lo que el Señor su Dios hizo con el Faraón y con todo Egipto:
19 The trials great which they saw eyes your and the signs and the wonders and the hand mighty and the arm outstretched which he brought out you Yahweh God your thus he will do Yahweh God your to all the peoples which you [are] afraid of them.
las pruebas asombrosas de las que fueron testigos, las señales y los milagros, el gran poder y la increíble fuerza que el Señor su Dios utilizó para sacarlos de allí. El Señor tu Dios hará lo mismo con todas las naciones que actualmente temes.
20 And also the hornet he will send Yahweh God your among them until perish [those] who remain and [those] who hide themselves from before you.
Además de esto, el Señor tu Dios enviará el avispón contra ellos hasta que cualquiera que haya sobrevivido y cualquiera que se esconda de ti haya sido asesinado.
21 Not you must be terrified of them for Yahweh God your [is] in midst your a God great and awesome.
No tengas miedo de estas naciones, porque el Señor tu Dios, que está contigo, es un Dios poderoso y asombroso.
22 And he will clear away Yahweh God your the nations these from before you little little not you will be able to make an end of them quickly lest it should increase with you [the] animal[s] of the field.
El Señor tu Dios expulsará a estas naciones delante de ti por etapas. No podrás deshacerte de todas ellas al mismo tiempo, o te verías abrumado por los animales salvajes.
23 And he will deliver up them Yahweh God your before you and he will confuse them confusion great until are destroyed they.
Pero el Señor tu Dios te los entregará y los arrojará en un terrible pánico, hasta que sean aniquilados.
24 And he will give kings their in hand your and you will destroy name their from under the heavens not he will stand anyone in face your until destroying you them.
Él te dará sus reyes derrotados para que los mates, e incluso sus nombres serán olvidados. Nadie podrá resistirse a ti. Tú los destruirás completamente.
25 [the] images of Gods their you will burn! with fire not you will covet silver and gold on them and you will take [it] for yourself lest you should be ensnared by it for [is] [the] abomination of Yahweh God your that.
Debes quemar los ídolos de su dios. No desees la plata y el oro que los cubre. No lo tomes o de lo contrario será una trampa para ti porque el Señor tu Dios detesta todo lo que tenga que ver con los ídolos.
26 And not you will bring an abomination into house your and you will be an object for destruction like it utterly - you will detest it and utterly - you will abhor it for [is] an object for destruction it.
No traigas ningún ídolo detestable a tu casa, de lo contrario serás tratado como tal, siendo apartado para su destrucción. Debes tratar a los ídolos como totalmente despreciables y permanecer lejos de ellos, porque son apartados para su destrucción.
