< Deuteronomy 4 >
1 And now O Israel listen to the statutes and to the judgments which I [am] about to teach you to observe so that you may live and you will go and you will take possession of the land which Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your [is] about to give to you.
Afei, Israel, muntie mmara ne nhyehyɛe a merebɛkyerɛkyerɛ mo yi. Munni so na moanya nkwa, na moatumi akɔ asase a Awurade, mo agyanom Nyankopɔn, de rema mo no so akɔtena hɔ.
2 Not you must add to the word which I [am] about to command you and not you must diminish from it to keep [the] commandments of Yahweh God your which I [am] about to command you.
Mommfa bi nka ho, na munnyi biribiara nso mmfi ahyɛde a Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, de ama me se memfa mma mo no mu, na mmom munni so.
3 Own eyes your [are] the [ones which] saw [that] which he did Yahweh at Baal Peor for every person who he walked after Baal Peor he destroyed him Yahweh God your from midst your.
Mode mo ani huu nea Awurade yɛɛ mo wɔ Baal-Peor no. Ɔsɛee onipa biara a na ɔsom Baal-Peor no.
4 And you who were clinging on Yahweh God your [are] alive all of you this day.
Nanso wɔn a na wodi Awurade mo Nyankopɔn nokware nyinaa da so te ase besi nnɛ.
5 See - I have taught you statutes and judgments just as he commanded me Yahweh God my to do thus in [the] midst of the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it.
Sɛ mudu asase a mobɛtena so no so a, eyinom ne mmara ne ahyɛde a makyerɛkyerɛ mo a ɛsɛ sɛ mudi so. Efi Awurade, yɛn Nyankopɔn, nkyɛn. Ɔde ama me se memfa mma mo.
6 And you will take care and you will observe [them] for that [will be] wisdom your and understanding your to [the] eyes of the peoples which they will hear! all the statutes these and they will say certainly [is] a people wise and understanding the nation great this.
Sɛ mudi so a, ɛbɛda mo nyansa ne ntease a mowɔ no adi akyerɛ aman a wɔbɛte saa ahyɛde yi nyinaa no na wɔaka se, “Ampa, nnipa yi yɛ ɔman kɛse a wonim nyansa na wɔwɔ ntease.”
7 For who? [is] a nation great which [belongs] to it a god near to it like Yahweh God our in all calling we to him.
Ɔman kɛse bɛn na ɔwɔ onyame a ɔbɛn wɔn pɛɛ te sɛ Awurade, yɛn Nyankopɔn, a yɛfrɛ no a ogye yɛn so yi?
8 And who? [is] a nation great which [belongs] to it statutes and judgments righteous like all the law this which I [am] setting before you this day.
Na ɔman kɛse bɛn na ɛwɔ trenee ahyɛde ne mmara sɛ saa mmara yi a mede rema mo nnɛ yi?
9 Only take heed to yourself and guard self your exceedingly lest you should forget the things which they have seen eyes your and lest they should depart from heart your all [the] days of life your and you will make known them to children your and to [the] children of children your.
Monhwɛ yiye, na mo ani nna hɔ yiye pa ara na nna dodow a mote nkwa mu no, mo werɛ amfi nea moahu, anaa ampa amfi mo koma mu. Monkyerɛkyerɛ mo mma na awo ntoatoaso a ɛbɛba no nhu.
10 [the] day When you stood before Yahweh God your at Horeb when said Yahweh to me assemble to me the people so I may make hear them words my that they will learn! to fear me all the days which they [will be] alive on the land and children their they will teach!

11 And you drew near! and you stood! under the mountain and the mountain [was] burning with fire to [the] heart of the heavens darkness cloud and thick darkness.
Mubegyina bɛnee bepɔw no ase bere a na bepɔw no rehyew na ogyaframa no retu kɔ ɔsoro a omununkum ne esum kabii aduru no.
12 And he spoke Yahweh to you from [the] middle of the fire a sound of words you [were] hearing and a form not you [were] seeing except a voice.
Na Awurade kasa fii ogya no mu kyerɛɛ mo. Motee nsɛm no nanso, moanhu no, nne kɛkɛ na ɛbae.
13 And he declared to you covenant his which he commanded you to observe [the] ten the words and he inscribed them on two tablets of stone.
Ɔdaa nʼapam a ɔkyerɛɛ mo sɛ munni so no adi; Mmaransɛm du a ɔkyerɛw guu abo pon abien so no.
14 And me he commanded Yahweh at the time that to teach you statutes and judgments to observe you them in the land where you [are] about to pass over there towards to take possession of it.
Saa bere no na Awurade kyerɛɛ me sɛ menkyerɛkyerɛ mo ahyɛde ne mmara a ɛsɛ sɛ mudi so wɔ asase a morebetwa Yordan akɔfa no so.
15 And you will take heed exceedingly to selves your for not you saw any form on [the] day [when] he spoke Yahweh to you at Horeb from [the] middle of the fire.

16 Lest you should act corruptly! and you will make for yourselves an image of a form of any figure a likeness of a male or a female.

17 A likeness of any animal which [is] on the earth a likeness of any bird of wing which it flies in the heavens.

18 A likeness of any creeping [thing] on the ground a likeness of any fish which [is] in the waters from under to the earth.
anaa nea ɛsɛ aboa bi a ɔwea wɔ fam anaa apataa bi a ɔwɔ nsu ase.
19 And lest you should lift up eyes your the heavens towards and you will see the sun and the moon and the stars all [the] host of the heavens and you will be drawn aside and you will bow down to them and you will serve them which he has assigned Yahweh God your them to all the peoples under all the heavens.
Na sɛ mohwɛ wim na muhu owia, ɔsram ne nsoromma, wim abɔde nyinaa a, momma ɛnntwetwe mo mma monnkotow nsom nneɛma a Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, de ama ɔsoro ase aman no nyinaa no.
20 And you he took Yahweh and he brought out you from [the] furnace of iron from Egypt to become for him a people of inheritance as the day this.
Na mo de, Awurade yii mo fii ogya framfram a ɛnan dade mu wɔ Misraim sɛ mommɛyɛ nʼadiadefo sɛnea mote nnɛ yi.
21 And Yahweh he was angry with me on words your and he swore to not to pass over I the Jordan and to not to go into the land good which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you an inheritance.
Mo nti, Awurade bo fuw me yiye. Ɔkaa ntam se, merentwa Asubɔnten Yordan nkɔ asase pa a Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, de rema mo sɛ mo agyapade no so.
22 For I [am] about to die in the land this not I [am] about to pass over the Jordan and you [are] about to pass over and you will take possession of the land good this.
Mewu wɔ asase yi so; merentwa Yordan; nanso morebetwa akɔfa asase pa no.
23 Take heed to yourselves lest you should forget [the] covenant of Yahweh God your which he has made with you and you will make for yourselves an image a form of anything which he commanded you Yahweh God your.
Monhwɛ yiye na moammu apam a Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, ne mo ayɛ no so. Monyɛ abosom a ɛyɛ biribiara nsɛso a mo Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, abra mo no.
24 For Yahweh God your [is] a fire consuming he a God jealous.
Efisɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, yɛ Onyame ninkufo, ogya a ɔhyew ade.
25 For you will father children and children of children and you will grow old in the land and you will act corruptly and you will make an image of a form of anything and you will do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh God your to provoke to anger him.
Moawowo mma anya nananom akyi no na moatena asase no so akyɛ no, sɛ moma porɔwee didi mo na moyɛ ohoni bi nam so yɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade mo Nyankopɔn ani so hyɛ no abufuw a,
26 I call as witnesses against you this day the heavens and the earth that certainly you will perish! quickly from on the land where you [are] about to pass over the Jordan there towards to take possession of it not you will prolong! days on it for utterly you will be destroyed!
mefrɛ ɔsoro ne asase sɛ nnansefo de tia mo saa da yi sɛ, mobɛhyew afi asase a moretwa Yordan akɔfa no so. Morentena hɔ nkyɛ na wɔbɛsɛe mo ampa.
27 And he will scatter Yahweh you among the peoples and you will be left men of number among the nations where he will drive away Yahweh you there towards.
Na Awurade bɛbɔ mo apansam akɔ aman so a mo mu kakraa bi na ɛbɛka wɔ aman a Awuradebɛpam mo akɔ so no so.
28 And you will serve there gods [the] work of [the] hands of a human wood and stone which not they see! and not they hear! and not they eat! and not they smell!
Ɛhɔ na mobɛsom onipa nsa ano ahoni a wɔde nnua ne abo na ayɛ, anyame a wonhu ade na wɔnte asɛm na wonnidi nte hua no.
29 And you will seek from there Yahweh God your and you will find [him] for you will seek him with all heart your and with all being your.
Ɛhɔ na mobɛpere bio ahwehwɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no. Na sɛ mode mo koma ne mo kra nyinaa hwehwɛ no a, mubehu no.
30 When it is distress to you and they will come upon you all the things these at [the] end of the days and you will return to Yahweh God your and you will listen to voice his.
Sɛ ɔhaw bi to mo na eyinom nyinaa ba mo so a, akyiri no, mobɛsan akɔ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, nkyɛn na moayɛ osetie ama no.
31 For [is] a God compassionate Yahweh God your not he will abandon you and not he will destroy you and not he will forget [the] covenant of ancestors your which he swore to them.
Efisɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, no yɛ mmɔborɔhunu Nyankopɔn; ɔrennyaw mo na ɔrensɛe mo anaa ne werɛ remfi apam a ɔne mo agyanom pamee a ɔkaa ntam sii so no.
32 That ask please to days former which they were before you from the day when he created God - humankind on the earth and to from [the] end of the heavens and to [the] end of the heavens ¿ has it happened like the thing great this or ¿ has it been heard like it.
Hwehwɛ abakɔsɛm mu fi bere a Onyankopɔn bɔɔ nnipa wɔ asase so besi nnɛ yi; hwehwɛ fi ɔsoro ti de kosi ti. Hwɛ sɛ biribi kɛse a ɛte sɛ eyi asi pɛn anaasɛ woate biribi saa pɛn?
33 ¿ Has it heard a people [the] voice of a god speaking from [the] middle of the fire just as you have heard you and has it lived?
So nnipa foforo bi ate Onyankopɔn nne sɛ ɔrekasa afi ogya mu sɛnea motee no na wɔda so te ase yi ana?
34 Or - ¿ has it attempted a god to come to take for itself a nation from [the] midst of a nation by trials by signs and by wonders and by battle and by a hand strong and by an arm outstretched and by terrors great like all that he did for you Yahweh God your in Egypt to eyes your.
So onyame foforo bi nam ogye a ɔnam amanehunu, nsɛnkyerɛnne a ɛyɛ nwonwa, ɔko, tumidi ne ahodwiriwde so agye ɔman bi afi ɔman foforo bi nsam afa sɛ ne de, sɛnea Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, yɛ maa mo wɔ Misraim a na mo ani tua no?
35 You you were shown to know that Yahweh he [is] God there not [is] still more from to alone him.
Ɔdaa eyinom nyinaa adi kyerɛɛ mo sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mubehu sɛ Awurade yɛ Onyankopɔn a nʼakyi obi nni hɔ.
36 From the heavens he caused to hear you voice his to discipline you and on the earth he showed you fire his great and words his you heard from [the] middle of the fire.
Ɔma motee ne nne fi ɔsoro nam so teɛteɛɛ mo so. Ɔma muhuu ne gya fadum asase so na motee ne nsɛm fii ogya no mu.
37 And because that he loved ancestors your and he chose offspring his after him and he brought out you by own presence his by power his great from Egypt.
Esiane sɛ na ɔpɛ mo agyanom asɛm, na ɔpɛɛ sɛ ohyira wɔn asefo nti na ɔno ara de nʼanim ne ne tumi kɛse no yii mo fii Misraim no.
38 To dispossess nations great and mighty more than you from before you to bring in you to give to you land their an inheritance as the day this.
Ɔpam aman a na wɔn ho yɛ den sen mo no wɔ mo anim sɛnea ɔde mo bɛba wɔn asase so abɛfa sɛ mo agyapade, sɛnea ɛte nnɛ yi.
39 And you will know this day and you will bring back to heart your that Yahweh he [is] God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath there not [is] still more.

40 And you will keep statutes his and commandments his which I [am] commanding you this day that it will go well for you and for children your after you and so that you may prolong days on (the land *L(abh)*) which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you all the days.

41 Then he set apart Moses three cities on [the] other side of the Jordan [the] rising of towards [the] sun.

42 To flee there towards a killer who he will kill neighbor his with no knowledge and he not [was] hating him from yesterday [the] third day and he will flee to one of the cities these and he will live.

44 And this [is] the law which he set Moses before [the] people of Israel.

48 From Aroer which [is] on [the] edge of [the] wadi of Arnon and to [the] mountain of Siyon that [is] Hermon.

49 And all the Arabah [the] other side of the Jordan east-wards and to [the] sea of the Arabah under [the] slopes of Pisgah.
