< Deuteronomy 32 >

1 Give ear O heavens so let me speak and it may hear the earth [the] words of mouth my.
Ta thikĩrĩria, wee igũrũ, ngũhe ũhoro; o na we thĩ-rĩ, ta igua ciugo cia kanua gakwa.
2 May it drop like the rain teaching my may it distil like the dew speech my like showers of rain on grass and like copious showers on vegetation.
Reke ũrutani wakwa uure ta mbura, nacio ciugo ciakwa igwe ta ime, ituĩke ta rũthuthuũ rũkiurĩra nyeki ya mũmerano, o na ĩtuĩke ta mbura nyingĩ ĩkiurĩra mĩmera mĩĩthĩ.
3 For [the] name of Yahweh I will proclaim ascribe greatness to God our.
Nĩngũhunjia ũhoro wa Rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova. Hĩ, kĩgoocei ũnene wa Ngai witũ!
4 The rock [is] perfect work his for all ways his [are] justice a God of faithfulness and there not [is] injustice [is] righteous and upright he.
We nĩwe Rwaro rwa Ihiga, mawĩra make nĩ makinyanĩru, nacio njĩra ciake ciothe nĩ cia kĩhooto. Nĩ Ngai mwĩhokeku na ndahĩtagia, nĩ mũrũngĩrĩru, na nĩ wa kĩhooto.
5 It has acted corruptly to him not children his blemish their a generation perverse and crooked.
Nĩmethaahĩtie harĩ we; ũndũ wa thoni nĩ atĩ ti ciana ciake rĩngĩ, no nĩ rũciaro rũremi na rwaganu.
6 ¿ To Yahweh do you repay this O people foolish and not wise ¿ not [is] he father your he created you he he made you and he established you.
Ũũ nĩguo mũngĩrĩha wega wa Jehova, inyuĩ andũ aya akĩĩgu na mwagĩte ũũgĩ? Githĩ tiwe Ithe wanyu, o we Mũmbi wanyu, ũrĩa wamũmbire na agĩtũma mwĩhaande wega?
7 Remember [the] days of antiquity consider [the] years of a generation and a generation ask father your so he will tell you old [people] your so they may say to you.
Ririkana matukũ ma tene; wĩciirie ũhoro wa njiaro iria ihĩtũkĩte. Ũria thoguo na nĩegũkwĩra, O na athuuri anyu na nĩmegũgũtaarĩria.
8 When gave inheritances to [the] Most High nations when separated he [the] children of humankind he fixed boundaries of peoples to [the] number of [the] people of Israel.
Rĩrĩa Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno aaheire ndũrĩrĩ igai rĩacio, rĩrĩa aagayanirie iruka ciothe cia andũ, nĩekĩrĩire andũ othe mĩhaka, kũringana na mũigana wa ariũ a Isiraeli.
9 For [the] portion of Yahweh [is] people his Jacob [is] [the] measured portion of inheritance his.
Nĩ gũkorwo igai rĩa Jehova nĩ andũ ake, Jakubu nĩwe igai rĩake rĩrĩa eegaĩire.
10 He found it in a land of wilderness and in a wasteland of howling of a desolate place he surrounded it he took care of it he guarded it like [the] pupil of eye his.
Aamuonire arĩ kũndũ werũ-inĩ, werũ ũtarĩ kĩndũ, ũgambagwo nĩ nyamũ. Nake akĩmũgitĩra na akĩmũmenyerera; aamũrangagĩra o ta kĩũma kĩa riitho rĩake,
11 Like an eagle [which] it stirs up nest its over young ones its it hovers it spreads out wings its it takes it it carries it on pinion its.
o ta ũrĩa nderi yarahũraga tũcui twayo gĩtara-inĩ kĩayo, ĩkareera igũrũ rĩa tũcui twayo, ĩtambũrũkĩtie mathagu mayo nĩguo ituoe, na ĩgatũkuua mathagu-inĩ mayo.
12 Yahweh alone he guided it and there not with him [was] a god of foreignness.
Jehova o we wiki nĩwe wamũtongoririe; gũtiarĩ ngai ngʼeni yarĩ hamwe nake.
13 He caused to ride it on ([the] high places of *Q(k)*) [the] land and it ate fruits of [the] field and he suckled him honey from a rock and oil from flint of rock.
Atũmire ahaice kũndũ kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru bũrũri-inĩ, na akĩmũhũũnia na matunda ma mĩgũnda. Nĩamũheire ũũkĩ uumĩte ihiga-inĩ, na akĩmũhe maguta moimĩte ihiga-inĩ rĩa nyaigĩ;
14 Curd of [the] herd and milk of [the] flock with fat of lambs and rams [the] sons of Bashan and goats with [the] fat of [the] kidneys of wheat and blood of grape[s] you drank wine.
akĩmũhe ngorono na iria kuuma ndũũru-inĩ cia ngʼombe, na cia mbũri na tũtũrũme tũnoru. o na mbũri na ndũrũme iria njega mũno cia Bashani, na ngano ĩrĩa njega mũno. Nĩwanyuire thakame ĩrĩ mũhũyũ ya thabibũ, nĩyo ndibei yacio.
15 And he grew fat Jeshurun and he kicked you have grown fat you have become bloated you have become gorged and he abandoned God [who] he made him and he treated with contempt [the] rock of salvation his.
Jeshuruni nake aanorire, agĩikia haati; aahũũnire, agĩtunguha, na agĩkenga mwĩrĩ. Agĩgĩtigana na Ngai ũrĩa wamũmbire, na akĩrega Rwaro rwa Ihiga, o ruo Mũhonokia wake.
16 They made jealous him by strange [gods] by abominations they provoked to anger him.
Nĩmatũmire aigue ũiru nĩ ũndũ wa ngai icio ciao ngʼeni, na makĩmũrakaria na mĩhianano yao ĩrĩ magigi.
17 They sacrificed to the demons [which] not [are] God gods [which] not they had known them new [gods] [which] from near they had come [which] not they had known about them ancestors your.
Nĩmarutĩire ndaimono magongona, iria itarĩ Ngai: ngai iria matooĩ, ngai iria cieyumĩrĩtie o ica-ikuhĩ, ngai iria iteetigĩrĩtwo nĩ maithe manyu.
18 [the] rock [which] he fathered You you forgot and you forgot God [who] gave birth to you.
Nĩwatiganĩirie Rwaro rwa Ihiga, rũrĩa rwagũciarire; ũkĩriganĩrwo nĩ Mũrungu ũrĩa wagũciarire.
19 And he saw Yahweh and he spurned from [the] provocation of sons his and daughters his.
Jehova nĩonire ũndũ ũcio nake akĩmarega nĩ ũndũ nĩarakarĩtio nĩ ariũ ake na airĩtu ake.
20 And he said I will hide face my from them I will see what? [will be] end their for [are] a generation of perversiti they children [whom] not faithfulness [is] in them.
Nake akiuga atĩrĩ, “Nĩngũmahitha ũthiũ wakwa, nyone ũrĩa marigĩrĩrio mao magaakorwo matariĩ; nĩgũkorwo nĩ rũciaro rũremi, ciana itaangĩĩhokeka.
21 They they have made jealous me by not a god they have provoked to anger me by vanities their and I I will make jealous them by not a people by a nation foolish I will provoke to anger them.
Manjiguithirie ũiru nĩ ũndũ wa ngai itarĩ bata, na makĩndakaria na ngai ciao itarĩ kĩene. Ngaamaiguithia ũiru na rũrĩrĩ hatarĩ; ngaatũma marakario nĩ rũrĩrĩ rũtarĩ na ũmenyo.
22 For a fire it has been kindled by anger my and it has burned to Sheol lowest and it has consumed [the] earth and produce its and it has set ablaze [the] foundations of [the] mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Nĩ gũkorwo mwaki nĩwakĩtio nĩ mangʼũrĩ makwa, ũrĩa wakanaga ũgakinya mũhuro wa kwa ngoma. Nĩũkaniina thĩ na magetha mayo, na ũmundie itina cia irĩma mwaki. (Sheol h7585)
23 I will catch up on them calamities arrows my I will use up on them.
“Nĩngamombĩrĩra mĩtino na mĩguĩ yakwa ndĩmĩhũthĩre ngĩmahũũra nayo.
24 [people] weakened of Famine and [people] consumed of plague and destruction bitter and tooth of animals I will send on them with [the] venom of [things which] crawl of [the] dust.
Nĩngamarehithĩria ngʼaragu ya kũmahinyaria, ndĩmarehithĩrie gĩthĩĩna gĩa kũmaniina na mũthiro wa kũmooraga; Ngaamarehithĩria nyamũ cia gĩthaka irĩ magego moogĩ, ndĩmarehithĩrie ũrũrũ wa nduĩra iria inyororokaga rũkũngũ-inĩ.
25 From outside it will make childless a sword and [will be] from inner rooms terror both young man as well as young woman a suckling-child with a person of gray hair.
Rũhiũ rwa njora nĩrũkaniina ciana ciao njĩra-inĩ ya itũũra; kĩmako gĩkaamaiyũra marĩ kwao mĩciĩ. Aanake na airĩtu nĩmagathira, o hamwe na ngenge, na andũ arĩa marĩ na mbuĩ.
26 I said I will cut in pieces them I will make cease from humankind memory their.
Ndoigire nĩngamaharagania, na tharie kũririkanwo kwao kuuma kũrĩ andũ,
27 If not [the] provocation of an enemy I was afraid lest they should misconstrue opponents their lest they should say hands our it was raised and not Yahweh he did all this.
no nĩndetigĩrire kĩnyararo gĩa thũ, nĩguo mũmuku ndakaage gũtaũkĩrwo, oige atĩrĩ, ‘Guoko gwitũ nĩgũtooranĩtie; Jehova tiwe wĩkĩte ũũ wothe.’”
28 For [are] a nation perishing of counsel they and there not in them [is] understanding.
Nĩ rũrĩrĩ rũteciiragia, matirĩ na gũkũũrana thĩinĩ wao.
29 If they were wise they will comprehend this they will understand end their.
Naarĩ korwo maarĩ oogĩ mahote kũmenya ũguo na makũũrane ũrĩa ũhoro wao wa kũrigĩrĩria ũgaakorwo ũtariĩ!
30 How? will he pursue one [person] a thousand and two [people] will they put to flight? ten thousand if in-deed rock their he had sold them and Yahweh he had delivered up them.
Mũndũ ũmwe angĩhota atĩa gũtengʼeria andũ ngiri, kana andũ eerĩ matũme andũ ngiri ikũmi moore, tiga makorirwo meendetio nĩ Rwaro rwa Ihiga, tiga Jehova akorirwo amatiganĩirie?
31 For not [is] like rock our rock their and enemies our assessments.
Nĩ gũkorwo ihiga rĩao rĩtihaana ta Rwaro rwa Ihiga riitũ, o ta ũrĩa o na thũ ciitũ ciũĩ.
32 For [is] from [the] vine of Sodom vine their and from [the] terraced fields of Gomorrah grapes their [are] grapes of poison clusters [are] bitter of them.
Mũthabibũ wao uumĩte mũthabibũ-inĩ wa Sodomu, na ũkoima mĩgũnda-inĩ ya Gomora. Thabibũ ciayo ciyũrĩte thumu, nacio ikũmba ciacio ikarũra.
33 [is the] venom of Serpents wine their and [the] poison of cobras cruel.
Ndibei yacio nĩ ũrũrũ wa nduĩra, o guo thumu ũrĩa mũũru mũno wa nduĩra.
34 ¿ Not [is] that stored up with me sealed up in storehouses my.
“Githĩ ndikoretwo njigĩte ũndũ ũyũ wega ngaikara ndĩũmenyereire mũthiithũ-inĩ wakwa?
35 [belong] to Me vengeance and retribution to a time [when] it will slip foot their for [is] near [the] day of disaster their and it will make haste impending [things] to them.
Kũrĩhanĩria nĩ gwakwa; nĩ niĩ ngaarĩhanĩria. Ihinda rĩakinya, kũgũrũ kwao nĩ gũgaatenderũka; mũthenya wao wa mwanangĩko ũrĩ hakuhĩ, naguo mũtino wao ũhiũhĩte ũmakore.”
36 For he will judge Yahweh people his and on servants his he will have compassion if he will see that it has been used up hand and there not [is] shut up and freed.
Jehova nĩagaciirithia andũ ake, na aiguĩre ndungata ciake tha, rĩrĩa akoona nĩmathirĩtwo nĩ hinya, na gũtirĩ o na ũmwe wao ũtigarĩte, arĩ ngombo kana atarĩ ngombo.
37 And he will say where? [are] gods their [the] rock [which] they sought refuge in it.
Nake nĩ akoiga atĩrĩ, “Rĩu ngai ciao ikĩrĩ ha, ihiga rĩu meehithaga harĩ rĩo,
38 Which [the] fat of sacrifices their they ate they drank [the] wine drink-offering their let them arise and let them help you let it be over you a shelter.
ngai iria ciarĩĩaga maguta ma magongona mao, na ikanyua ndibei ya indo iria ciarutagwo cia kũnyuuo? Reke cigĩũkĩre imũteithie! Reke imũhe kĩĩgitio!
39 See - now that I I [am] he and there not [is] a god with me I I put to death and I may restore to life I wound and I I heal and there not from hand my [is] a deliverer.
“Rĩu menyai atĩ niĩ mwene nĩ niĩ Ngai! Gũtirĩ ngai ũngĩ tiga niĩ. Nĩ niĩ njũraganaga na niĩ ndũũranagia muoyo, nĩndiihanĩtie na nĩngũhonia, na gũtirĩ o na ũmwe ũngĩhonokania kuuma guoko-inĩ gwakwa.
40 For I lift up to heaven hand my and I will say [am] living I for ever.
Nguoya guoko gwakwa na igũrũ njuge atĩrĩ: O ta ũrĩa ndũũraga muoyo nginya tene,
41 If I sharpen [the] lightning of sword my so it may take hold on judgment hand my I will return vengeance to foes my and to [those who] hate me I will repay.
rĩrĩa ngaanoora rũhiũ rwakwa rwa njora rũkahenia na ndĩrũnyiite na guoko gwakwa ngĩtua ciira, nĩngerĩhĩria kũrĩ thũ ciakwa, na ndĩĩrĩhĩrie kũrĩ arĩa maathũire.
42 I will make drunk arrows my from blood and sword my it will devour flesh from [the] blood of [the] slain and [the] captive from [the] head of [the] leaders of [the] enemy.
Nĩngatũma mĩguĩ yakwa ĩnyue thakame ĩrĩĩo, Naruo rũhiũ rwakwa rwa njora rũrĩage nyama: ĩyo nĩ thakame ya arĩa moragĩtwo na arĩa matahĩtwo, na mĩtwe ya atongoria a thũ.”
43 Shout for joy O nations people his for [the] blood of servants his he will avenge and vengeance he will return to foes his and he will make atonement for land his people his.
Inyuĩ ndũrĩrĩ, kenai hamwe na andũ ake, nĩgũkorwo nĩakarĩhanĩria thakame ya ndungata ciake; acirĩhĩrie harĩ thũ ciake, na ahoroherie bũrũri wake, o na andũ ake.
44 And he came Moses and he spoke all [the] words of the song this in [the] ears of the people he and Hoshea [the] son of Nun.
Musa nĩmookire na Joshua mũrũ wa Nuni, na makĩaria ciugo ciothe cia rwĩmbo rũrũ andũ makĩiguaga.
45 And he finished Moses to speak all the words these to all Israel.
Rĩrĩa Musa aarĩkirie kũhe andũ a Isiraeli ũhoro ũcio,
46 And he said to them set heart your to all the words which I [am] warning you this day that you will command them children your to take care to do all [the] words of the law this.
akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ciugo ici ciothe ndaamwĩra ũmũthĩ itarĩ na itherũ, rekei ciikare ngoro-inĩ cianyu, nĩgeetha mũgaatha ciana cianyu gwathĩkĩra wega ciugo icio ciothe cia watho ũyũ.
47 For not [is] a word [too] empty it for you for it [is] lives your and by the word this you will prolong days on the land where you [are] about to pass over the Jordan there towards to take possession of it.
To ciugo o ũguo harĩ inyuĩ, no nĩcio muoyo wanyu. Nĩigatũma mũtũũre matukũ maingĩ bũrũri ũrĩa mũraringa Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani mũkawĩgwatĩre.”
48 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses on [the] substance of the day this saying.
Mũthenya o ro ũcio Jehova akĩĩra Musa atĩrĩ,
49 Go up to [the] mountain of the Abarim this [the] mountain of Nebo which [is] in [the] land of Moab which [is] on [the] face of Jericho and see [the] land of Canaan which I [am] about to give to [the] people of Israel to a possession.
“Ambata, ũkinye mwambato wa Abarimu o, kũu kĩrĩma kĩa Nebo bũrũri-inĩ wa Moabi, kũngʼethanĩra na Jeriko, wĩrorere Kaanani, bũrũri ũrĩa ndĩrahe andũ a Isiraeli ũtuĩke igai rĩao.
50 And die on the mountain where you [are] about to go up there towards and be gathered to people your just as he died Aaron brother your on Hor the mountain and he was gathered to people his.
Kĩrĩma kĩu ũkũhaica nĩkĩo ũgaakuĩra, nawe ũcookanĩrĩrio hamwe na andũ anyu, o ta ũrĩa mũrũ wa nyũkwa Harũni aakuĩrĩire kĩrĩma-inĩ kĩa Horu, nake agĩcookanĩrĩrio hamwe na andũ arĩa manakua.
51 On that you acted unfaithfully against me in among [the] people of Israel at [the] waters of Meribah Kadesh [the] wilderness of Zin on that not you honored as holy me in among [the] people of Israel.
Gĩtũmi kĩa ũguo nĩ tondũ inyuĩ eerĩ nĩmwagire kũnjĩtĩkia mũrĩ mbere ya andũ a Isiraeli o kũu maaĩ-inĩ ma Meriba Kadeshi werũ-inĩ wa Zini tondũ mũtiigana kũrũgamĩrĩra ũtheru wakwa harĩ andũ a Isiraeli.
52 For from before you will see the land and there towards not you will go into the land which I [am] about to give to [the] people Israel.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, nĩ ũkuona bũrũri ũcio ũrĩ o haraaya; no ndũgatoonya bũrũri ũcio ndĩrahe andũ a Isiraeli.”
