Deuteronomy 29
1 These [are] [the] words of the covenant which he commanded Yahweh Moses to make with [the] people of Israel in [the] land of Moab besides the covenant which he had made with them at Horeb.
Dette er den pakts ord som Herren bød Moses å gjøre med Israels barn i Moabs land, foruten den pakt han hadde gjort med dem på Horeb.
2 And he summoned Moses all Israel and he said to them you you have seen all that he did Yahweh to eyes your in [the] land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all servants his and to all land his.
Moses kalte hele Israel til sig og sa til dem: I har sett alt det Herren gjorde for eders øine i Egyptens land med Farao og alle hans tjenere og hele hans land,
3 The trials great which they saw eyes your the signs and the wonders great those.
de store plager som du så for dine øine, de store tegn og under;
4 And not he has given Yahweh to you a heart to know and eyes to see and ears to hear until the day this.
men like til denne dag har Herren ikke gitt eder hjerte til å forstå eller øine til å se eller ører til å høre med.
5 And I led you forty year[s] in the wilderness not they wore out clothes your from on you and sandal your not it wore out from on foot your.
Jeg lot eder vandre firti år i ørkenen; eders klær blev ikke utslitt, og skoen blev ikke utslitt på din fot.
6 Bread not you ate and wine and strong drink not you drank so that you may know that I [am] Yahweh God your.
Brød fikk I ikke å ete, og vin eller sterk drikk fikk I ikke å drikke, forat I skulde kjenne at jeg, Herren, er eders Gud.
7 And you came to the place this and he came out Sihon [the] king of Heshbon and Og [the] king of Bashan to meet us for battle and we defeated them.
Og da I kom til dette sted, drog Sihon, kongen i Hesbon, og Og, kongen i Basan, ut imot oss til strid, og vi slo dem,
8 And we took land their and we gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of the Manassite[s].
og vi tok deres land og lot rubenittene og gadittene og den halve Manasse stamme få det til arv.
9 And you will keep [the] words of the covenant this and you will do them so that you may cause to prosper all that you will do!
Så ta da vare på denne pakts ord og hold dem, så I farer viselig frem i alt det I gjør!
10 You [are] standing this day all of you before Yahweh God your chiefs your tribes your elders your and officials your every man of Israel.
I står idag alle for Herrens, eders Guds åsyn, eders høvdinger, eders stammer, eders eldste og eders tilsynsmenn, hver mann i Israel,
11 Little one[s] your wives your and sojourner your who [is] in [the] midst of camps your from [the] cutter of wood your unto [the] drawer of water your.
eders barn, eders hustruer og den fremmede som er i din leir, både din vedhugger og din vannbærer,
12 To pass on you in [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and in oath his which Yahweh God your [is] making with you this day.
forat du skal gå inn i pakten med Herren din Gud og i eds-sambåndet med ham, det som Herren din Gud gjør med dig idag;
13 So as to establish you this day - of him to a people and he he will become for you God just as he spoke to you and just as he swore to ancestors your to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob.
for han vil idag gjøre dig til sitt folk, og selv vil han være din Gud, som han har tilsagt dig, og som han har tilsvoret dine fedre Abraham, Isak og Jakob.
14 And not with you to alone you I [am] making the covenant this and the oath this.
Og ikke bare med eder gjør jeg denne pakt og dette eds-sambånd,
15 For with [the one] who there he here with us [is] standing this day before Yahweh God our and with [the one] who there not he here [is] with us this day.
men både med dem som idag står her sammen med oss for Herrens, vår Guds åsyn, og med dem som ikke er her sammen med oss idag.
16 For you you know this: we dwelt in [the] land of Egypt and this: we passed in [the] midst of the nations which you passed through.
For I vet selv hvorledes vi bodde i Egyptens land, og hvorledes vi drog midt igjennem de folk som I har draget igjennem,
17 And you saw detestable things their and idols their wood and stone silver and gold which [were] with them.
Og I så deres vederstyggelige og motbydelige avguder, de guder av tre og sten, av sølv og gull som de hadde.
18 Lest there [be] among you a man or a woman or a clan or a tribe who heart his [is] turning away this day from with Yahweh God our to go to serve [the] gods of the nations those lest there [be] among you a root bearing fruit poison and wormwood.
La det ikke være hos eder nogen mann eller kvinne eller ætt eller stamme hvis hjerte idag vender sig fra Herren vår Gud, så han går bort og dyrker disse folks guder! La det ikke være hos eder nogen rot som bærer trollbær og malurt,
19 And it will be when hears he [the] words of the oath this and he will bless himself in heart his saying peace it will belong to me for in [the] stubbornness of heart my I walk so as to sweep away the watered [ground] with the thirsty [ground].
nogen som når han hører dette eds-sambånds ord, priser sig lykkelig og tenker at det skal gå ham vel om han enn følger sitt eget hårde hjerte. For da kommer det vannrike land til å gå til grunne sammen med det tørstige.
20 Not he will be willing Yahweh to forgive him for then it will smoke [the] anger of Yahweh and jealousy his on the man that and it will lie down on him every oath that is written in the book this and he will wipe out Yahweh name his from under the heavens.
Herren vil ikke tilgi ham; nei, da skal Herrens vrede og nidkjærhet ryke mot den mann, og alle de forbannelser som er skrevet i denne bok, skal hvile på ham, og Herren skal utslette hans navn under himmelen.
21 And he will separate him Yahweh for harm from all [the] tribes of Israel according to all [the] oaths of the covenant that is written in [the] book of the law this.
Herren skal skille ham ut fra alle Israels stammer til fordervelse, efter alle forbannelsene i den pakt som er skrevet i denne lovens bok.
22 And it will say the generation later children your who they will arise from after you and the foreigner who he will come from a land distant and they will see [the] plagues of the land that and diseases its which he has made sick Yahweh it.
Og når den kommende slekt, eders barn som vokser op efter eder, og den fremmede som kommer fra et fjernt land, ser de plager som har rammet dette land, og de sykdommer som Herren har hjemsøkt det med
23 [is] sulfur And salt a burning waste all land its not it is sown and not it causes to grow and not it comes up in it any vegetation like [the] overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah Admah (and Zeboiim *Q(k)*) which he overthrew Yahweh in anger his and in rage his.
- svovel og salt, hele dets jord opbrent, så den ikke kan tilsåes og ikke gi grøde, og ingen urt kan vokse der, en ødeleggelse som Sodomas og Gomorras, Admas og Sebo'ims, dengang Herren ødela dem i sin vrede og harme - da skal de si,
24 And they will say all the nations concerning what? has he done Yahweh thus to the land this why? [is] [the] heat of the anger great this.
ja, alle folkene skal si: Hvorfor har Herren gjort således mot dette land? Hvad er dette for en svær vredes-ild?
25 And people will say on that they forsook [the] covenant of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their which he made with them when brought out he them from [the] land of Egypt.
Og de skal få til svar: Fordi de forlot den pakt som Herren, deres fedres Gud, gjorde med dem da han førte dem ut av Egyptens land,
26 And they went and they served gods other and they bowed down to them gods which not they had known them and not he had assigned to them.
og de gikk bort og dyrket andre guder og tilbad dem, guder som de ikke kjente, og som han ikke hadde gitt dem lov til å dyrke,
27 And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on the land that to bring on it every curse that is written in the book this.
derfor blev Herrens vrede optendt mot dette land, så han førte over det alle de forbannelser som er skrevet i denne bok;
28 And he plucked up them Yahweh from on land their in anger and in rage and in wrath great and he threw out them to a land another as the day this.
Herren rykket dem op av deres land i vrede og harme og stor forbitrelse og kastet dem bort til et fremmed land, som det kan sees på denne dag.
29 The hidden [things] [belong] to Yahweh God our and the revealed [things] [belong] to us and to descendants our until perpetuity to do all [the] words of the law this.
Det skjulte hører Herren vår Gud til, men det åpenbarte er for oss og for våre barn til evig tid, forat vi skal holde alle ordene i denne lov.
