Deuteronomy 29
1 These [are] [the] words of the covenant which he commanded Yahweh Moses to make with [the] people of Israel in [the] land of Moab besides the covenant which he had made with them at Horeb.
Inilah kata-kata perjanjian yang atas perintah TUHAN dibuat Musa dengan bangsa Israel waktu mereka berada di tanah Moab. Perjanjian itu merupakan tambahan dari perjanjian yang dibuat TUHAN dengan mereka di Gunung Sinai.
2 And he summoned Moses all Israel and he said to them you you have seen all that he did Yahweh to eyes your in [the] land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all servants his and to all land his.
Musa menyuruh semua orang Israel berkumpul, lalu berkata kepada mereka, "Kamu sudah melihat sendiri apa yang dilakukan TUHAN terhadap raja Mesir, para pejabatnya dan seluruh negerinya.
3 The trials great which they saw eyes your the signs and the wonders great those.
Kamu juga sudah melihat bencana-bencana yang dahsyat, mujizat-mujizat dan keajaiban-keajaiban yang dilakukan TUHAN.
4 And not he has given Yahweh to you a heart to know and eyes to see and ears to hear until the day this.
Tetapi sampai hari ini Ia belum memungkinkan kamu mengerti semua yang kamu alami itu.
5 And I led you forty year[s] in the wilderness not they wore out clothes your from on you and sandal your not it wore out from on foot your.
Empat puluh tahun lamanya TUHAN memimpin kamu melalui padang gurun, namun pakaian dan sandalmu tidak menjadi usang.
6 Bread not you ate and wine and strong drink not you drank so that you may know that I [am] Yahweh God your.
Kamu tidak mempunyai roti untuk makanan, air anggur atau minuman keras, tetapi TUHAN memberi segala yang kamu perlukan supaya kamu tahu bahwa Dialah TUHAN Allahmu.
7 And you came to the place this and he came out Sihon [the] king of Heshbon and Og [the] king of Bashan to meet us for battle and we defeated them.
Dan ketika kita sampai di tempat ini, Raja Sihon dari Hesybon dan Raja Og dari Basan datang memerangi kita. Tetapi kita kalahkan mereka.
8 And we took land their and we gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of the Manassite[s].
Tanah mereka kita rebut dan kita bagikan kepada suku Ruben, Gad dan sebagian suku Manasye.
9 And you will keep [the] words of the covenant this and you will do them so that you may cause to prosper all that you will do!
Maka hendaklah kamu setia mentaati seluruh perjanjian ini, supaya kamu berhasil dalam segala usahamu.
10 You [are] standing this day all of you before Yahweh God your chiefs your tribes your elders your and officials your every man of Israel.
Hari ini kamu semua berdiri di hadapan TUHAN Allahmu, semua kepala suku, pemuka, perwira, semua laki-laki,
11 Little one[s] your wives your and sojourner your who [is] in [the] midst of camps your from [the] cutter of wood your unto [the] drawer of water your.
wanita, anak-anak, dan semua orang asing yang tinggal di antara kamu dan membantu kamu memotong kayu dan memikul air.
12 To pass on you in [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and in oath his which Yahweh God your [is] making with you this day.
TUHAN Allahmu membuat perjanjian dengan kamu, dan kamu semua berkumpul di sini untuk mengikat perjanjian itu serta menerima kewajiban-kewajibannya.
13 So as to establish you this day - of him to a people and he he will become for you God just as he spoke to you and just as he swore to ancestors your to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob.
Dengan perjanjian itu TUHAN hari ini mengukuhkan kamu menjadi bangsa-Nya, dan Ia menjadi Allahmu seperti yang dijanjikan-Nya kepadamu dan kepada nenek moyangmu Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub.
14 And not with you to alone you I [am] making the covenant this and the oath this.
Perjanjian itu dengan segala kewajibannya dibuat TUHAN bukan dengan kamu saja,
15 For with [the one] who there he here with us [is] standing this day before Yahweh God our and with [the one] who there not he here [is] with us this day.
tetapi dengan setiap orang yang pada hari ini berdiri di sini, di hadapan TUHAN Allah kita, dan juga dengan keturunan kita di masa depan."
16 For you you know this: we dwelt in [the] land of Egypt and this: we passed in [the] midst of the nations which you passed through.
"Kamu masih ingat bagaimana nasib kita di Mesir dan bagaimana kita berjalan melalui negeri bangsa-bangsa lain.
17 And you saw detestable things their and idols their wood and stone silver and gold which [were] with them.
Kamu sudah melihat patung-patung berhala mereka yang menjijikkan dari kayu, batu, perak dan emas.
18 Lest there [be] among you a man or a woman or a clan or a tribe who heart his [is] turning away this day from with Yahweh God our to go to serve [the] gods of the nations those lest there [be] among you a root bearing fruit poison and wormwood.
Jadi jagalah jangan sampai seorang pun di antara kamu, laki-laki atau perempuan, keluarga atau suku yang berdiri di sini, berbalik dari TUHAN Allah kita untuk menyembah ilah-ilah bangsa lain. Perbuatan itu seperti akar yang tumbuh menjadi tanaman pahit dan beracun.
19 And it will be when hears he [the] words of the oath this and he will bless himself in heart his saying peace it will belong to me for in [the] stubbornness of heart my I walk so as to sweep away the watered [ground] with the thirsty [ground].
Di antara kamu yang mendengar tuntutan yang keras itu janganlah ada yang berpikir bahwa nasibnya akan tetap baik, sekalipun ia dengan nekat mengikuti jalannya sendiri. Hal itu akan membinasakan kamu semua, orang-orang yang jahat maupun yang baik.
20 Not he will be willing Yahweh to forgive him for then it will smoke [the] anger of Yahweh and jealousy his on the man that and it will lie down on him every oath that is written in the book this and he will wipe out Yahweh name his from under the heavens.
TUHAN tidak akan mengampuni orang seperti itu. Sebaliknya, dia akan kena kemarahan TUHAN yang meluap-luap, dan segala bencana yang tertulis di dalam buku ini akan menimpa dia, sampai ia dibinasakan TUHAN.
21 And he will separate him Yahweh for harm from all [the] tribes of Israel according to all [the] oaths of the covenant that is written in [the] book of the law this.
TUHAN akan menjadikan dia sebuah contoh untuk semua suku Israel, dan menghukum dia dengan kutuk yang disebut dalam perjanjian yang tertulis di dalam buku ini, buku Hukum TUHAN.
22 And it will say the generation later children your who they will arise from after you and the foreigner who he will come from a land distant and they will see [the] plagues of the land that and diseases its which he has made sick Yahweh it.
Di kemudian hari, keturunanmu dan orang asing dari negeri jauh akan melihat bencana-bencana dan penderitaan yang didatangkan TUHAN atas negerimu.
23 [is] sulfur And salt a burning waste all land its not it is sown and not it causes to grow and not it comes up in it any vegetation like [the] overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah Admah (and Zeboiim *Q(k)*) which he overthrew Yahweh in anger his and in rage his.
Ladang-ladangmu akan menjadi padang tandus tertutup belerang dan garam. Tanahnya tak dapat ditanami dan rumput tak mau tumbuh di situ. Negerimu akan menyerupai kota-kota Sodom dan Gomora, Adma dan Zeboim yang dimusnahkan TUHAN ketika kemarahan-Nya berkobar-kobar.
24 And they will say all the nations concerning what? has he done Yahweh thus to the land this why? [is] [the] heat of the anger great this.
Maka seluruh dunia akan bertanya, 'Mengapa TUHAN berbuat begitu dengan negeri mereka? Apa sebab Ia marah sehebat itu?'
25 And people will say on that they forsook [the] covenant of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their which he made with them when brought out he them from [the] land of Egypt.
Dan jawabnya ialah, 'Karena mereka mengingkari perjanjian TUHAN, Allah nenek moyang mereka; perjanjian yang dibuat-Nya dengan mereka pada waktu Ia membawa mereka keluar dari Mesir.
26 And they went and they served gods other and they bowed down to them gods which not they had known them and not he had assigned to them.
Mereka mengabdi kepada ilah-ilah lain yang tidak mereka kenal, padahal TUHAN melarang mereka menyembah ilah-ilah itu.
27 And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on the land that to bring on it every curse that is written in the book this.
Itulah sebabnya TUHAN marah kepada umat-Nya dan mendatangkan atas negeri mereka semua bencana yang tertulis di dalam buku ini.
28 And he plucked up them Yahweh from on land their in anger and in rage and in wrath great and he threw out them to a land another as the day this.
Kemarahan TUHAN meledak dengan hebatnya, dan dalam kemarahan-Nya yang besar Ia mencabut bangsa Israel dari tanah mereka dan melemparkan mereka ke negeri asing sehingga mereka ada di sana.'
29 The hidden [things] [belong] to Yahweh God our and the revealed [things] [belong] to us and to descendants our until perpetuity to do all [the] words of the law this.
Ada beberapa hal yang dirahasiakan TUHAN Allah kita; tetapi hukum-Nya telah dinyatakan-Nya kepada kita, dan kita serta keturunan kita harus mentaatinya untuk selama-lamanya."
