Deuteronomy 29
1 These [are] [the] words of the covenant which he commanded Yahweh Moses to make with [the] people of Israel in [the] land of Moab besides the covenant which he had made with them at Horeb.
Det er den Pagts Ord, som HERREN bød Moses at slutte med Israeliterne i Moabs Land foruden den Pagt, han havde sluttet med dem ved Horeb.
2 And he summoned Moses all Israel and he said to them you you have seen all that he did Yahweh to eyes your in [the] land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all servants his and to all land his.
Og Moses kaldte hele Israel sammen og sagde til dem: I har set alt, hvad HERREN i Ægypten for eders Øjne gjorde ved Farao og alle hans Tjenere og hele hans Land,
3 The trials great which they saw eyes your the signs and the wonders great those.
de store Prøvelser, I saa med egne Øjne, disse store Tegn og Undere.
4 And not he has given Yahweh to you a heart to know and eyes to see and ears to hear until the day this.
Men hidindtil har HERREN ikke givet eder Hjerte til at forstaa med eller Øjne til at se med eller Ører til at høre med.
5 And I led you forty year[s] in the wilderness not they wore out clothes your from on you and sandal your not it wore out from on foot your.
I fyrretyve Aar har jeg ført eder om i Ørkenen; eders Klæder blev ikke slidt af Kroppen paa eder, og dine Sko blev ikke slidt af Fødderne paa dig;
6 Bread not you ate and wine and strong drink not you drank so that you may know that I [am] Yahweh God your.
Brød fik I ikke at spise, og Vin og stærk Drik fik I ikke at drikke, for at I skulde kende, at jeg er HERREN eders Gud.
7 And you came to the place this and he came out Sihon [the] king of Heshbon and Og [the] king of Bashan to meet us for battle and we defeated them.
Og da I kom til Stedet her, drog Kong Sihon af Hesjbon og Kong Og af Basan ud til Kamp imod os, men vi slog dem
8 And we took land their and we gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of the Manassite[s].
og erobrede deres Land og gav Rubeniterne og Gaditerne og Manasses halve Stamme det til Arvelod.
9 And you will keep [the] words of the covenant this and you will do them so that you may cause to prosper all that you will do!
Tag derfor Vare paa denne Pagts Ord og gør efter dem, for at I kan faa Lykke til al eders Gerning.
10 You [are] standing this day all of you before Yahweh God your chiefs your tribes your elders your and officials your every man of Israel.
I staar i Dag alle for HERREN eders Guds Aasyn, eders Stammeoverhoveder, Dommere, Ældste og Tilsynsmænd, hver Mand i Israel,
11 Little one[s] your wives your and sojourner your who [is] in [the] midst of camps your from [the] cutter of wood your unto [the] drawer of water your.
eders Smaabørn og Hustruer og de fremmede, der opholder sig i din Lejr, baade dine Brændehuggere og Vandbærere,
12 To pass on you in [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and in oath his which Yahweh God your [is] making with you this day.
for at indtræde i HERREN din Guds Pagt og det Edsforbund, HERREN din Gud i Dag slutter med dig,
13 So as to establish you this day - of him to a people and he he will become for you God just as he spoke to you and just as he swore to ancestors your to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob.
for at han i Dag kan gøre dig til sit Folk, saa han bliver din Gud, som han lovede dig og tilsvor dine Fædre, Abraham, Isak og Jakob.
14 And not with you to alone you I [am] making the covenant this and the oath this.
Og ikke med eder alene slutter jeg denne Pagt og dette Edsforbund,
15 For with [the one] who there he here with us [is] standing this day before Yahweh God our and with [the one] who there not he here [is] with us this day.
men baade med dem, der i Dag staar her hos os for HERREN vor Guds Aasyn, og med dem, der i Dag ikke er til Stede hos os her.
16 For you you know this: we dwelt in [the] land of Egypt and this: we passed in [the] midst of the nations which you passed through.
Thi I ved jo selv, at vi boede i Ægypten, og at vi drog igennem de forskellige Folkeslags Lande,
17 And you saw detestable things their and idols their wood and stone silver and gold which [were] with them.
og I saa deres væmmelige Guder og de Afgudsbilleder af Træ og Sten, af Sølv og Guld, som de har.
18 Lest there [be] among you a man or a woman or a clan or a tribe who heart his [is] turning away this day from with Yahweh God our to go to serve [the] gods of the nations those lest there [be] among you a root bearing fruit poison and wormwood.
Saa lad der da ikke iblandt eder findes nogen Mand eller Kvinde, Slægt eller Stamme, hvis Hjerte i Dag vender sig bort fra HERREN vor Gud, saa de gaar hen og dyrker disse Folks Guder; lad der ikke iblandt eder findes nogen Rod, hvoraf Gift og Malurt vokser op,
19 And it will be when hears he [the] words of the oath this and he will bless himself in heart his saying peace it will belong to me for in [the] stubbornness of heart my I walk so as to sweep away the watered [ground] with the thirsty [ground].
saa at han, naar han hører dette Edsforbunds Ord, i sit Hjerte lover sig selv alt godt og tænker: »Det skal nok gaa mig vel, selv om jeg vandrer med genstridigt Hjerte!« Thi saa vil han ødelægge baade frodigt og tørt.
20 Not he will be willing Yahweh to forgive him for then it will smoke [the] anger of Yahweh and jealousy his on the man that and it will lie down on him every oath that is written in the book this and he will wipe out Yahweh name his from under the heavens.
HERREN vil ikke tilgive den Mand, nej, hans Vrede og Nidkærhed skal blusse op mod saadan en Mand, og al den Forbandelse, der er optegnet i denne Bog, vil lægge sig paa ham, og HERREN vil udslette hans Navn under Himmelen!
21 And he will separate him Yahweh for harm from all [the] tribes of Israel according to all [the] oaths of the covenant that is written in [the] book of the law this.
HERREN vil udskille ham af alle Israels Stammer og bringe Ulykke over ham i Overensstemmelse med alle de Pagtens Forbandelser, som er skrevet i denne Lovbog.
22 And it will say the generation later children your who they will arise from after you and the foreigner who he will come from a land distant and they will see [the] plagues of the land that and diseases its which he has made sick Yahweh it.
Og naar den kommende Slægt, eders Børn, der kommer efter eder, og de fremmede, der kommer langvejsfra, ser de Plager, der har ramt dette Land, og de Sygdomme, HERREN har hjemsøgt det med,
23 [is] sulfur And salt a burning waste all land its not it is sown and not it causes to grow and not it comes up in it any vegetation like [the] overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah Admah (and Zeboiim *Q(k)*) which he overthrew Yahweh in anger his and in rage his.
Svovl og Salt, hele Landet afsvedet, saa det ikke kan tilsaaes og ingen Afgrøde give, og ingen Urter kan gro deri, som dengang Sodoma og Gomorra, Adma og Zebojim blev ødelagt, da HERREN lod dem gaa under i sin Vrede og Harme, da skal de spørge,
24 And they will say all the nations concerning what? has he done Yahweh thus to the land this why? [is] [the] heat of the anger great this.
og alle Folkeslag skal spørge: »Hvorfor har HERREN handlet saaledes med dette Land? Hvorledes hænger det sammen med denne vældige Vredesglød?«
25 And people will say on that they forsook [the] covenant of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their which he made with them when brought out he them from [the] land of Egypt.
Saa skal man svare: »Det er, fordi de sveg den Pagt, HERREN, deres Fædres Gud, havde sluttet med dem, da han førte dem ud af Ægypten,
26 And they went and they served gods other and they bowed down to them gods which not they had known them and not he had assigned to them.
og gik hen og dyrkede fremmede Guder og tilbad dem, Guder, som de ikke før havde kendt til, og som han ikke havde tildelt dem;
27 And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on the land that to bring on it every curse that is written in the book this.
derfor blussede HERRENS Vrede op imod dette Land, saa han lod al den Forbandelse, som er optegnet i denne Bog, komme over det,
28 And he plucked up them Yahweh from on land their in anger and in rage and in wrath great and he threw out them to a land another as the day this.
og derfor oprykkede han dem fra deres Land i Vrede og Harme og heftig Forbitrelse og slængte dem ud i et fremmed Land, som det nu er sket.«
29 The hidden [things] [belong] to Yahweh God our and the revealed [things] [belong] to us and to descendants our until perpetuity to do all [the] words of the law this.
De skjulte Ting er for HERREN vor Gud, men de aabenbare er for os og vore Børn evindelig, at vi maa lære at handle efter alle denne Lovs Ord!
