Deuteronomy 28
1 And it will be certainly [if] you will listen to [the] voice of Yahweh God your to take care to observe all commandments his which I [am] commanding you this day and he will set you Yahweh God your most high above all [the] nations of the earth.
Dersom du nu hører på Herrens, din Guds røst, så du akter vel på å holde alle hans bud, som jeg gir dig idag, da skal Herren din Gud heve dig høit over alle folkene på jorden.
2 And they will come on you all the blessings these and they will overtake you if you will listen to [the] voice of Yahweh God your.
Og alle disse velsignelser skal komme over dig og nå dig, så sant du hører på Herrens, din Guds røst:
3 [will be] blessed You in the city and [will be] blessed you in the open country.
Velsignet være du i byen, og velsignet være du på marken!
4 [will be] blessed [the] fruit of Womb your and [the] fruit of ground your and [the] fruit of livestock your [the] young of cattle your and [the] young ones of sheep your.
Velsignet være ditt livs frukt og frukten av din jord og frukten av ditt fe, det som faller av ditt storfe, og det som fødes av ditt småfe!
5 [will be] blessed Basket your and kneading trough your.
Velsignet være din kurv og ditt deigtrau!
6 [will be] blessed You when coming you and [will be] blessed you when going out you.
Velsignet være du i din inngang, og velsignet være du i din utgang!
7 He will make Yahweh enemies your who will arise on you defeated before you in a direction one they will come out against you and in seven directions they will flee before you.
Herren skal la dine fiender, som reiser sig mot dig, ligge under for dig; på én vei skal de dra ut mot dig, og på syv veier skal de flykte for dig.
8 He will command Yahweh with you the blessing in barns your and in every undertaking of hand your and he will bless you in the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you.
Herren skal byde velsignelsen å være hos dig i dine lader og å følge dig i alt det du tar dig fore, og han skal velsigne dig i det land Herren din Gud gir dig.
9 (He will establish you *LB(ah)*) Yahweh for himself to a people holy just as he swore to you that [if] you will keep [the] commandments of Yahweh God your and you will walk in ways his.
Herren skal gjøre dig til et hellig folk for sig, som han har tilsvoret dig, såfremt du tar vare på Herrens, din Guds bud og vandrer på hans veier.
10 And they will see all [the] peoples of the earth that [the] name of Yahweh it is called on you and they will be afraid from you.
Og alle folkene på jorden skal se at du er kalt med Herrens navn, og de skal reddes for dig.
11 And he will make abound you Yahweh to good in [the] fruit of womb your and in [the] fruit of livestock your and in [the] fruit of ground your on the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to give to you.
Herren skal gi dig overflod på alt som godt er, både av ditt livs frukt og av frukten av ditt fe og av frukten av din jord i det land som Herren tilsvor dine fedre å ville gi dig.
12 He will open Yahweh - for you storehouse his good the heavens to give [the] rain of land your at appropriate time its and to bless all [the] work of hand your and you will lend to nations many and you not you will borrow.
Herren skal lukke op for dig sitt rike forrådshus, himmelen, og gi ditt land regn i rette tid og velsigne alt dine henders arbeid; og du skal låne til mange folk, men selv skal du ikke trenge til å låne av nogen.
13 And he will make you Yahweh into [the] head and not into [the] tail and you will be only upwards and not you will be downwards if you will listen to [the] commandments of - Yahweh God your which I [am] commanding you this day to take care and to do.
Herren skal gjøre dig til hode og ikke til hale; og du skal alltid være ovenpå og aldri være under, såfremt du hører på Herrens, din Guds bud, som jeg idag byder dig å ta vare på og holde,
14 And not you will turn aside from all the words which I [am] commanding you this day right [hand] and left [hand] to walk after gods other to serve them.
og såfremt du ikke viker av fra noget av de ord jeg legger frem for eder idag, hverken til høire eller til venstre, så du følger andre guder og dyrker dem.
15 And it will be if not you will listen to [the] voice of Yahweh God your to take care to observe all commandments his and statutes his which I [am] commanding you this day and they will come on you all the curses these and they will overtake you.
Men dersom du ikke hører på Herrens, din Guds røst, så du akter vel på å holde alle hans bud og hans lover, som jeg gir dig idag, da skal alle disse forbannelser komme over dig og nå dig:
16 [will be] cursed You in the city and [will be] cursed you in the open country.
Forbannet være du i byen, og forbannet være du på marken!
17 [will be] cursed Basket your and kneading trough your.
Forbannet være din kurv og ditt deigtrau!
18 [will be] cursed [the] fruit of Womb your and [the] fruit of ground your [the] young of cattle your and [the] young ones of sheep your.
Forbannet være ditt livs frukt og din jords frukt, det som faller av ditt storfe, og det som fødes av ditt småfe!
19 [will be] cursed You when coming you and [will be] cursed you when going out you.
Forbannet være du i din inngang, og forbannet være du i din utgang!
20 He will send Yahweh - on you the curse confusion and rebuke in every undertaking of hand your which you will do until being destroyed you and until perishing you quickly because of [the] wickedness of deeds your which you have forsaken me.
Herren skal sende forbannelse, forferdelse og trusel mot dig i alt det du rekker din hånd ut til og tar dig fore, inntil du blir ødelagt og hastig går til grunne for dine onde gjerningers skyld, fordi du forlot mig.
21 He will make cling Yahweh to you pestilence until has destroyed he you from on the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it.
Herren skal la pesten henge fast ved dig til han har utryddet dig av det land du kommer inn i og skal ta i eie.
22 He will strike you Yahweh with consumption and with fever and with inflammation and with feverish heat and with the sword and with blight and with mildew and they will pursue you until perishing you.
Herren skal slå dig med tærende syke og brennende sott, med feber og verk, med tørke og kornbrand og rust, og de skal forfølge dig til du går til grunne.
23 And they will be heavens your which [are] over head your bronze and the ground which [is] under you iron.
Himmelen over ditt hode skal være som kobber, og jorden under dig som jern.
24 He will make Yahweh [the] rain of land your dust and dust from the heavens it will come down on you until being destroyed you.
Herren skal la støv og sand være det regn han gir ditt land; det skal komme ned over dig fra himmelen, til du blir ødelagt.
25 He will make you Yahweh - defeated before enemies your in a direction one you will go out against him and in seven directions you will flee before him and you will become a terror to all [the] kingdoms of the earth.
Herren skal la dig ligge under for dine fiender; på én vei skal du dra ut mot dem, og på syv veier skal du flykte for dem; og du skal bli mishandlet av alle riker på jorden.
26 And it will become corpse your food for every bird of the heavens and for [the] animal[s] of the earth and there not [will be one who] disturbs [them].
Dine døde kropper skal bli til føde for alle himmelens fugler og for jordens dyr, og ingen skal jage dem bort.
27 He will strike you Yahweh with [the] boil[s] of Egypt (and with tumors *Q(K)*) and with eczema and with scabies which not you will be able to be healed.
Herren skal slå dig med Egyptens bylder, med svuller og med skabb og utslett, så du ikke skal kunne læges.
28 He will strike you Yahweh with madness and with blindness and with bewilderment of heart.
Herren skal slå dig med vanvidd og med blindhet og med sinnets forvirring.
29 And you will be groping in the noontide just as he gropes blind [person] in the darkness and not you will make successful ways your and you will be only oppressed and robbed all the days and there not [will be] a deliverer.
Og du skal famle dig frem om middagen, som den blinde famler sig frem i mørket; du skal ingen lykke ha på dine veier, og det skal ikke times dig annet enn undertrykkelse og utplyndring alle dager, og det skal ikke være nogen som frelser.
30 A woman you will betroth and a man another (he will lie with her *Q(K)*) a house you will build and not you will dwell in it a vineyard you will plant and not (you will put to use it. *L(abh)*)
Du skal trolove dig med en kvinne, og en annen mann skal ligge hos henne. Du skal bygge et hus og ikke bo i det; du skal plante en vingård og ikke ta den i bruk.
31 Ox your [will be] slaughtered to eyes your and not you will eat any of it donkey your [will be] seized from to before you and not anyone will return [it] to you flock your [will be] given to enemies your and not [will belong] to you a deliverer.
Din okse skal slaktes for dine øine, og du skal ikke ete av den; ditt asen skal røves så du ser på det, og ikke komme tilbake til dig; ditt småfe skal gis til dine fiender, og ingen skal hjelpe dig.
32 Sons your and daughters your [will be] given to a people another and eyes your [will be] looking and longing to them all the day and not [it is] to [the] power of hand your.
Dine sønner og dine døtre skal overgis til et fremmed folk, og dine øine skal se på det og vansmekte av lengsel efter dem hele dagen, og din hånd skal være avmektig.
33 [the] fruit of Ground your and all [the] result of toil your it will eat a people which not you have known and you will be only oppressed and crushed all the days.
Frukten av din jord og av alt ditt arbeid skal fortæres av et folk du ikke kjenner; og det skal ikke times dig annet enn vold og undertrykkelse alle dager.
34 And you will be driven mad from [the] sight[s] of eyes your which you will see.
Og du skal bli vanvittig av det syn som dine øine må se.
35 He will strike you Yahweh with boil[s] bad on the knees and on the legs which not you will be able to be healed from [the] sole of foot your and to scalp your.
Herren skal slå dig med onde bylder på knær og legger, så du ikke skal kunne læges, fra fotsåle til isse.
36 He will lead Yahweh you and king your whom you will raise up over you to a nation which not you have known you and ancestors your and you will serve there gods other wood and stone.
Herren skal føre dig og din konge, som du setter over dig, bort til et folk som hverken du eller dine fedre har kjent, og der skal du dyrke andre guder, stokk og sten.
37 And you will become a horror a byword and a taunt among all the peoples where he will drive away you Yahweh there towards.
Og du skal bli til en redsel, til et ordsprog og til en spott blandt alle de folk Herren fører dig til.
38 Seed much you will take out the field and little you will gather for it will consume it the locust[s].
Megen sæd skal du føre ut på marken, og lite skal du samle inn; for gresshoppen skal ete den av.
39 Vineyards you will plant and you will labor and wine not you will drink and not you will gather for it will eat it the worm[s].
Vingårder skal du plante og dyrke, men vin skal du ikke drikke, og ikke kunne gjemme; for makk skal ete den op.
40 Olive trees they will belong to you in all territory your and oil not you will anoint yourself for it will drop off olive[s] your.
Oljetrær skal du ha i hele ditt land, men med olje skal du ikke salve dig; for ditt oljetre skal kaste karten av.
41 Sons and daughters you will father and not they will belong to you for they will go in captivity.
Sønner og døtre skal du få, men du skal ikke beholde dem, for de skal gå i fangenskap.
42 Every tree your and [the] fruit of ground your it will take possession of the locust[s].
Alle dine trær og din jords frukt skal gresshoppen ta i eie.
43 The sojourner who [is] in midst your he will go up above you up-wards up-wards and you you will go down downwards downwards.
Den fremmede som bor i ditt land, skal stige op over dig, høiere og høiere; men du skal synke dypere og dypere.
44 He he will lend to you and you not you will lend to him he he will become [the] head and you you will become into [the] tail.
Han skal låne til dig, men du skal ikke kunne låne til ham; han skal være hode, og du skal være hale.
45 And they will come on you all the curses these and they will pursue you and they will overtake you until being destroyed you for not you listened to [the] voice of Yahweh God your to keep commandments his and statutes his which he has commanded you.
Alle disse forbannelser skal komme over dig og forfølge dig og nå dig, til du blir ødelagt, fordi du ikke hørte på Herrens, din Guds røst, og ikke tok vare på hans bud og hans lover, som han gav dig,
46 And they will become among you a sign and a wonder and among offspring your until perpetuity.
og de skal være til et tegn og et under som skal henge ved dig og din ætt til evig tid.
47 Because that not you have served Yahweh God your with joy and with goodness of heart from [the] abundance of everything.
Fordi du ikke tjente Herren din Gud med glede og av hjertens lyst, endog du hadde overflod på alt,
48 And you will serve enemies your whom he will send forth him Yahweh on you in hunger and in thirst and in nakedness and in lack of everything and he will put a yoke of iron on neck your until has destroyed he you.
så skal du tjene dine fiender, som Herren skal sende mot dig, i hunger og tørst og i nakenhet og i mangel på alt; og han skal legge et jernåk på din hals, til han har ødelagt dig.
49 He will raise up Yahweh on you a nation from a distance from [the] end of the earth just as it swoops down eagle a nation which not you will understand language its.
Herren skal føre et folk over dig langt borte fra, fra jordens ende, et folk som kommer flyvende lik en ørn, et folk hvis tungemål du ikke forstår,
50 A nation fierce of face which not it will lift up face for an old [person] and a youth not it will show favor to.
et folk med hårdt ansikt, som ikke akter den gamle og ikke har medynk med den unge.
51 And it will devour [the] fruit of livestock your and [the] fruit of ground your until being destroyed you which not it will leave to you grain new wine and fresh oil [the] young of cattle your and [the] young ones of sheep your until destroys it you.
Og det skal fortære frukten av ditt fe og frukten av din jord, til du blir ødelagt, fordi det ikke levner dig korn eller most eller olje, det som faller av ditt storfe, eller det som fødes av ditt småfe, inntil det har gjort ende på dig.
52 And it will lay siege to you in all gates your until come down walls your high and fortified which you [are] trusting in them in all land your and it will lay siege to you in all gates your in all land your which he has given Yahweh God your to you.
Det skal kringsette dig i alle dine byer, inntil dine høie og faste murer, som du setter din lit til, faller i hele ditt land, det som Herren din Gud har gitt dig.
53 And you will eat [the] fruit of womb your [the] flesh of sons your and daughters your whom he has given to you Yahweh God your in [the] siege and in [the] distress which he will bring distress to you enemy your.
Da skal du ete ditt livs frukt, kjøttet av dine sønner og dine døtre, som Herren din Gud gir dig; så stor er den trengsel og angst som din fiende skal føre over dig.
54 The man gentle among you and delicate very it will be evil eye his on brother his and on [the] wife of bosom his and on [the] remainder of children his which it will remain.
Den kjælneste og mest forfinede av dine menn skal se med onde øine på sin bror og på hustruen i sin favn og på de barn han ennu har tilbake,
55 From giving - to one from them any of [the] flesh of children his whom he will eat because not he has left to him anything in [the] siege and in [the] distress which he will bring distress to you enemy your in all gates your.
og ikke unne nogen av dem det minste grand av sine barns kjøtt, som han eter, fordi intet annet blev levnet ham; så stor er den trengsel og angst som din fiende skal føre over dig i alle dine byer.
56 The gentle [woman] among you and the delicate [woman] who not she has attempted [the] sole of foot her to place on the ground because was delicate and from gentleness it will be evil eye her on [the] husband of bosom her and on son her and on daughter her.
Den kjælneste og mest forfinede av dine kvinner, som aldri prøvde på å sette sin fot på jorden for bare finhet og kjælenskap, skal se med onde øine på mannen i sin favn og på sin sønn og sin datter
57 And on afterbirth her which goes forth - from between feet her and on children her whom she will bear for she will eat them in lack of everything in secrecy in [the] siege and in [the] distress which he will bring distress to you enemy your in gates your.
og ikke unne dem sin efterbyrd, som går fra henne, eller de barn hun får; for i mangel på alt skal hun fortære dem i lønndom; så stor er den trengsel og angst som din fiende skal føre over dig i dine byer.
58 If not you will take care to observe all [the] words of the law this which are written in the book this to fear the name glorious and awesome this Yahweh God your.
Dersom du ikke gir akt på å holde alle ordene i denne lov, de som står skrevet i denne bok - dersom du ikke frykter dette herlige og forferdelige navn: Herren din Gud,
59 And he will make extraordinary Yahweh plagues your and [the] plagues of offspring your plagues great and lasting and sicknesses harmful and lasting.
da skal Herren sende uhørte plager over dig og uhørte plager over din ætt, store og vedholdende plager og onde og vedholdende sykdommer.
60 And he will bring back on you every disease of Egypt which you were afraid of them and they will cling to you.
Han skal la alle Egyptens sykdommer, som du gruer for, komme over dig, og de skal henge ved dig.
61 Also every sickness and every plague which not [is] written in [the] book of the law this he will bring up them Yahweh on you until being destroyed you.
Og alle andre sykdornmer og alle andre plager, som der intet står skrevet om i denne lovens bok, skal Herren la komme over dig, til du er ødelagt.
62 And you will be left men of fewness in place of that you were like [the] stars of the heavens for multitude for not you have listened to [the] voice of Yahweh God your.
Bare en liten flokk skal bli tilbake av eder, I som var så tallrike som himmelens stjerner, fordi du ikke hørte på Herrens, din Guds røst.
63 And it will be just as he rejoiced Yahweh on you to do good to you and to increase you so he will rejoice Yahweh on you to destroy you and to destroy you and you will be torn away from on the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it.
Og likesom Herren gledet sig ved å gjøre vel mot eder og gjøre eder tallrike, således skal Herren nu glede sig ved å forderve eder og ødelegge eder; og I skal rykkes op av det land du kommer inn i og skal ta i eie.
64 And he will scatter you Yahweh among all the peoples from [the] end of the earth and to [the] end of the earth and you will serve there gods other which not you have known you and ancestors your wood and stone.
Herren skal sprede dig blandt alle folkene fra jordens ene ende til den andre, og der skal du dyrke andre guder, som hverken du eller dine fedre har kjent, stokk og sten.
65 And among the nations those not you will rest and not it will belong a resting place to [the] sole of foot your and he will give Yahweh to you there a heart trembling and failing of eyes and despair of being.
Og blandt disse folk skal du aldri ha ro, og der skal ingen hvile være for din fot; Herren skal der gi dig et bevende hjerte og uttærede øine og en vansmektende sjel.
66 And they will be life your hung up for you from in front and you will be in dread night and by day and not you will trust in life your.
Ditt liv skal henge i et hår; du skal engstes natt og dag og aldri være sikker på ditt liv.
67 In the morning you will say who? will he give evening and in the evening you will say who? will he give morning from [the] dread of heart your which you will dread and from [the] sight[s] of eyes your which you will see.
Om morgenen skal du si: Var det bare aften! og om aftenen skal du si: Var det bare morgen! - for den angst du kjenner i ditt hjerte, og for det syn du ser med dine øine.
68 And he will make return you Yahweh - Egypt in ships by the way which I said to you not you will repeat again to see it and you will sell yourselves there to enemies your to [male] slaves and to female slaves and there not [will be] a buyer.
Herren skal føre dig tilbake til Egypten på skiber, den vei som jeg sa dig at du aldri mere skulde få se; der skal I bli budt ut til dine fiender som træler og trælkvinner, men der er ingen som kjøper.
