< Deuteronomy 22 >
1 Not you will see [the] ox of countryman your or sheep his going astray and you will hide yourself from them certainly you will return them to countryman your.
Non videbis bovem fratris tui, aut ovem errantem, et præteribis: sed reduces fratri tuo,
2 And if not [is] near countryman your to you and not you know him and you will gather it into [the] middle of house your and it will be with you until seeks countryman your it and you will return it to him.
etiamsi non est propinquus frater tuus, nec nosti eum: duces in domum tuam, et erunt apud te quamdiu quærat ea frater tuus, et recipiat.
3 And thus you will do for donkey his and thus you will do for clothing his and thus you will do for every thing lost of countryman your which it will be lost from him and you will find it not you will be able to hide yourself.
Similiter facies de asino, et de vestimento, et de omni re fratris tui, quæ perierit: si inveneris eam, ne negligas quasi alienam.
4 Not you will see [the] donkey of countryman your or ox his falling by the way and you will hide yourself from them certainly you will raise [it] up with him.
Si videris asinum fratris tui aut bovem cecidisse in via, non despicies, sed sublevabis cum eo.
5 Not it will be [the] garment[s] of a man on a woman and not he will wear a man [the] clothing of a woman for [is] [the] abomination of Yahweh God your every [one who] does these [things].
Non induetur mulier veste virili, nec vir utetur veste feminea: abominabilis enim apud Deum est qui facit hæc.
6 If it will be met a nest of a bird - before you by the way in any tree - or on the ground young ones or eggs and the mother [is] lying on the young ones or on the eggs not you will take the mother with the young ones.
Si ambulans per viam, in arbore vel in terra nidum avis inveneris, et matrem pullis vel ovis desuper incubantem: non tenebis eam cum filiis,
7 Certainly you will let go the mother and the young ones you will take for yourself so that it may go well for you and you will prolong days.
sed abire patieris, captos tenens filios: ut bene sit tibi, et longo vivas tempore.
8 If you will build a house new and you will make a parapet for roof your and not you will put blood on house your if he will fall [one who] falls from it.
Cum ædificaveris domum novam, facies murum tecti per circuitum: ne effundatur sanguis in domo tua, et sis reus labente alio, et in præceps ruente.
9 Not you will sow vineyard your two kinds lest it should be set apart the full produce the seed which you will sow and [the] produce of the vineyard.
Non seres vineam tuam altero semine: ne et sementis quam sevisti, et quæ nascuntur ex vinea, pariter sanctificentur.
10 Not you will plow with an ox and with a donkey together.
Non arabis in bove simul et asino.
11 Not you will wear mixed stuff wool and linen together.
Non indueris vestimento, quod ex lana linoque contextum est.
12 Tassels you will make for yourself on [the] four [the] corners of covering your which you will cover with it.
Funiculos in fimbriis facies per quatuor angulos pallii tui, quo operieris.
13 If he will take a man a wife and he will go into her and he will hate her.
Si duxerit vir uxorem, et postea odio habuerit eam,
14 And he will make to her deeds of words and he will send forth on her a name bad and he will say the woman this I took and I drew near to her and not I found to her virginiti.
quæsieritque occasiones quibus dimittat eam, objiciens ei nomen pessimum, et dixerit: Uxorem hanc accepi, et ingressus ad eam non inveni virginem:
15 And he will take [the] father of (the young woman *Q(k)*) and mother her and they will bring forth [the] virginiti of (the young woman *Q(k)*) to [the] elders of the city the gate towards.
tollent eam pater et mater ejus, et ferent secum signa virginitatis ejus ad seniores urbis qui in porta sunt:
16 And he will say [the] father of (the young woman *Q(k)*) to the elders daughter my I gave to the man this to a wife and he hated her.
et dicet pater: Filiam meam dedi huic uxorem: quam quia odit,
17 And there! he he has made deeds of words saying not I found to daughter your virginiti and these [are] [the] virginiti of daughter my and they will spread out the garment before [the] elders of the city.
imponit ei nomen pessimum, ut dicat: Non inveni filiam tuam virginem: et ecce hæc sunt signa virginitatis filiæ meæ. Expandent vestimentum coram senioribus civitatis:
18 And they will take [the] elders of the city that the man and they will punish him.
apprehendentque senes urbis illius virum, et verberabunt illum,
19 And they will fine him a hundred silver and they will give [them] to [the] father of the young woman for he has sent forth a name bad on [the] virgin of Israel and of him she will become a wife not he will be able (to send away her *L(abh)*) all days his.
condemnantes insuper centum siclis argenti, quos dabit patri puellæ, quoniam diffamavit nomen pessimum super virginem Israël: habebitque eam uxorem, et non poterit dimittere eam omnibus diebus vitæ suæ.
20 And if truth it was the word this not they were found virginiti (for the young woman. *Q(k)*)
Quod si verum est quod objicit, et non est in puella inventa virginitas,
21 And they will bring out (the young woman *Q(k)*) to [the] entrance of [the] house of father her and they will stone her [the] men of city her with stones and she will die for she has done folly in Israel by acting as a prostitute [the] house of father her and you will remove the evil from midst your.
ejicient eam extra fores domus patris sui, et lapidibus obruent viri civitatis illius, et morietur: quoniam fecit nefas in Israël, ut fornicaretur in domo patris sui: et auferes malum de medio tui.
22 If he will be found a man lying - with a woman married of a husband and they will die also both of them the man who lay with the woman and the woman and you will remove the evil from Israel.
Si dormierit vir cum uxore alterius, uterque morietur, id est, adulter et adultera: et auferes malum de Israël.
23 If he will be (a young woman *Q(k)*) a virgin betrothed to a man and he will find her a man in the city and he will lie with her.
Si puellam virginem desponderit vir, et invenerit eam aliquis in civitate, et concubuerit cum ea,
24 And you will bring out both of them to [the] gate of - the city that and you will stone them with stones and they will die (the young woman *Q(k)*) on [the] thing that not she cried for help in the city and the man on [the] thing that he has humiliated [the] wife of neighbor his and you will remove the evil from midst your.
educes utrumque ad portam civitatis illius, et lapidibus obruentur: puella, quia non clamavit, cum esset in civitate: vir, quia humiliavit uxorem proximi sui: et auferes malum de medio tui.
25 And if in the open country he will find the man (the young woman *Q(k)*) betrothed and he will take hold on her the man and he will lie with her and he will die the man who lay with her to only him.
Sin autem in agro repererit vir puellam, quæ desponsata est, et apprehendens concubuerit cum ea, ipse morietur solus:
26 (And to the young woman *Q(k)*) not you will do anything not ([belongs] to the young woman *Q(k)*) sin of death for just as he will arise someone on neighbor his and he will kill him life so the matter this.
puella nihil patietur, nec est rea mortis: quoniam sicut latro consurgit contra fratrem suum, et occidit animam ejus, ita et puella perpessa est.
27 That in the open country he found her she cried for help (the young woman *Q(k)*) betrothed and not a deliverer [belonged] to her.
Sola erat in agro: clamavit, et nullus affuit qui liberaret eam.
28 If he will find a man (a young woman *Q(k)*) a virgin who not she is betrothed and he will seize her and he will lie with her and they will be found.
Si invenerit vir puellam virginem, quæ non habet sponsum, et apprehendens concubuerit cum illa, et res ad judicium venerit:
29 And he will give the man who lay with her to [the] father of (the young woman *Q(k)*) fifty silver and of him she will become a wife because that he has humiliated her not he will be able (to send away her *L(abh)*) all days his.
dabit qui dormivit cum ea, patri puellæ quinquaginta siclos argenti, et habebit eam uxorem, quia humiliavit illam: non poterit dimittere eam cunctis diebus vitæ suæ.
30 Not he will take a man [the] wife of father his and not he will uncover [the] skirt of father his.
Non accipiet homo uxorem patris sui, nec revelabit operimentum ejus.
