Deuteronomy 19
1 If he will cut off Yahweh God your the nations which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you land their and you will dispossess them and you will dwell in cities their and in houses their.
Khi Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi đã diệt các dân tộc của xứ mà Ngài ban cho ngươi, khi ngươi đã đuổi chúng nó đi, được ở trong các thành và các nhà chúng nó rồi,
2 Three cities you will set apart for yourself in [the] midst of land your which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you to take possession of it.
thì phải để riêng ra ba cái thành giữa xứ mà Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho ngươi nhận lấy.
3 You will establish for yourself the journey and you will divide into three [the] territory of land your which he will give as an inheritance you Yahweh God your and it will be to flee there towards every killer.
Ngươi phải dọn đường, chia ra làm ba phần địa phận của xứ mà Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho ngươi làm sản nghiệp: ấy hầu cho kẻ sát nhân ẩn núp tại đó.
4 And this [will be] [the] case of the killer who he will flee there towards and he will live who he will strike companion his with not knowledge and he not [was] hating him from yesterday [the] third day.
Vả, nầy là cách mà người ta phải đãi kẻ sát nhân ẩn núp tại đó đặng bảo tồn sự sống mình. Nếu ai vì vô ý đánh chết kẻ lân cận mình, không có ganh ghét trước;
5 And who he will go with companion his in the forest to cut wood and it will be impelled hand his by the axe to cut down the tree and it will slip off the iron from the tree and it will find companion his and he will die he he will flee to one of the cities these and he will live.
thí dụ, nếu người đó đi cùng kẻ lân cận mình vào rừng đốn củi, tay người đang giơ rìu ra đốn, rủi lưỡi rìu sút cán trúng nhằm kẻ lân cận, làm cho kẻ ấy bị chết đi, thì người phải chạy ẩn núp mình trong một của ba cái thành nầy, đặng bảo tồn sự sống mình.
6 Lest he should pursue [the] avenger of blood after the killer for it will be hot heart his and he will overtake him for it will be great the journey and he will strike him life and [belonged] to him not a sentence of death for not [was] hating he him from yesterday [the] third day.
Bằng chẳng, kẻ báo thù huyết, vì nóng giận chạy đuổi theo kẻ sát nhân đó, và nếu đường dài quá, theo kịp và đánh người chết đi, mặc dầu người không đáng chết, bởi từ trước người không có ganh ghét kẻ lân cận mình.
7 There-fore I [am] commanding you saying three cities you will set apart for yourself.
Vì vậy, ta dặn và phán cùng ngươi rằng: Hãy để riêng ba cái thành.
8 And if he will enlarge Yahweh God your territory your just as he swore to ancestors your and he will give to you all the land which he spoke to give to ancestors your.
Nếu ngươi cẩn thận làm theo các điều răn nầy mà ta truyền cho ngươi ngày nay, tức là thương mến Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi, hằng đi theo đường lối Ngài,
9 If you will keep all the commandment this to do it which I [am] commanding you this day to love Yahweh God your and to walk in ways his all the days and you will add for yourself again three cities to the three [cities] these.
thì Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi sẽ mở rộng bờ cõi ngươi, y như Ngài đã thề cùng tổ phụ ngươi, và ban cho ngươi cả xứ mà Ngài đã hứa ban cho tổ phụ ngươi, rồi bấy giờ, ngươi phải thêm ba thành nữa vào ba thành trước;
10 And not it will be shed blood innocent in [the] midst of land your which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you an inheritance and it will be on you blood.
hầu cho huyết vô tội không đổ ra giữa xứ mà Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho ngươi làm sản nghiệp, và không có huyết trên mình ngươi.
11 And if he will be anyone hating neighbor his and he will lie in wait for him and he will rise up on him and he will strike him life and he will die and he will flee to one of the cities these.
Nhưng nếu ai ganh ghét kẻ lân cận mình, gài mưu hại người, nổi lên đánh người chết, rồi chạy ẩn núp mình trong một của các thành ấy,
12 And they will send [the] elders of city his and they will take him from there and they will give him in [the] hand of [the] avenger of blood and he will die.
thì những trưởng lão của thành kẻ đó, phải sai đi kéo nó ra khỏi nơi, nộp vào tay kẻ báo thù huyết, để nó chết đi.
13 Not it will look with pity eye your on him and you will remove [the] blood of the innocent [person] from Israel and it will be good to you.
Mắt ngươi sẽ không thương xót nó; nhưng phải trừ huyết người vô tội khỏi Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì ngươi sẽ được phước.
14 Not you will displace [the] boundary of neighbor your which they set bounds ancestors in inheritance your which you will inherit in the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you to take possession of it.
Ngươi chớ dời mộc giới của kẻ lân cận mình mà các tiên nhân ngươi đã cắm nơi sản nghiệp ngươi sẽ nhận được, tại xứ Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho ngươi nhận lấy.
15 Not he will stand a witness one in anyone to any iniquity and to any sin in any sin which he will sin on [the] mouth of - two witnesses or on [the] mouth of three witnesses it will stand a matter.
Chứng độc chiếc không đủ cớ định tội cho người nào, bất luận gian ác, tội lỗi nào mà người đã phạm; cứ theo lời của hai hay ba người chứng, thì sự mới định tội được.
16 That he will stand a witness of injustice in anyone to testify against him rebellion.
Khi một người chứng dối dấy lên cùng kẻ nào đặng phao tội cho,
17 And they will stand [the] two the people whom [belongs] to them the dispute before Yahweh before the priests and the judges who they will be in the days those.
thì hai đàng có tranh tụng nhau phải ứng hầu trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va, trước mặt những thầy tế lễ và quan án làm chức đang thì đó.
18 And they will investigate the judges thoroughly and there! [is] a witness of falsehood the witness falsehood he has testified against countryman his.
Các quan án phải tra xét kỹ càng, nếu thấy người chứng nầy là chứng dối, đã thưa gian cho anh em mình,
19 And you will do to him just as he planned to do to countryman his and you will remove the evil from midst your.
thì các ngươi phải làm cho hắn như hắn đã toan làm cho anh em mình; vậy, ngươi sẽ cất sự ác khỏi giữa mình.
20 And the remainder they will hear and they may fear and not they will repeat to do again like the thing evil this in midst your.
Còn những người khác hay điều đó, sẽ sợ, không làm sự hung ác như thế ở giữa ngươi nữa.
21 And not it will look with pity eye your life for life eye for eye tooth for tooth hand for hand foot for foot.
Mắt ngươi chớ thương xót: mạng đền mạng, mắt đền mắt, răng đền răng, tay đền tay, chân đền chân.
