Deuteronomy 16
1 Keep [the] month of Abib and you will observe a passover to Yahweh God your for in [the] month of Abib he brought out you Yahweh God your from Egypt night.
Onderhoud de maand Abib, en vier het Pascha ter ere van Jahweh, uw God; want in de maand Abib heeft Jahweh uw God, u des nachts uit Egypte geleid.
2 And you will sacrifice a passover to Yahweh God your flock and herd in the place where he will choose Yahweh to cause to dwell name his there.
Dan moet ge uit de kudde en runderen ter ere van Jahweh, uw God, het Pascha slachten op de plaats, die Jahweh zal uitverkiezen, om er zijn Naam te vestigen.
3 Not you will eat with it leaven seven days you will eat with it unleavened bread bread of affliction for in haste you came out from [the] land of Egypt so that you may remember [the] day of coming out you from [the] land of Egypt all [the] days of life your.
Ge moogt niets wat gedesemd is daarbij eten, maar moet daarbij zeven dagen lang ongedesemde broden, het brood der ellende, eten; want overhaast zijt ge uit Egypte getrokken. Zo zult gij u de dag van uw uittocht uit Egypte herinneren al de dagen van uw leven.
4 And not it will be seen by you leaven in all territory your seven days and not it will remain overnight any of the meat which you will sacrifice in the evening on the day first to the morning.
Zeven dagen lang mag bij u in heel uw gebied geen gist worden aangetroffen. En van het vlees, dat gij in de avond van de eerste dag offert, mag niets tot de volgende ochtend worden bewaard.
5 Not you will be able to sacrifice the passover in one of gates your which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you.
Ook moogt gij het Pascha niet slachten in een van de steden, die Jahweh, uw God, u zal geven;
6 That except to the place which he will choose Yahweh God your to cause to dwell name his there you will sacrifice the passover in the evening when goes the sun [the] time of coming out you from Egypt.
maar op de plaats, die Jahweh, uw God, zal uitverkiezen, om er zijn Naam te vestigen, moet gij tegen de avond, bij het ondergaan der zon, het Pascha slachten, op de tijd, dat gij uit Egypte getrokken zijt.
7 And you will cook [it] and you will eat [it] in the place which he will choose Yahweh God your it and you will turn in the morning and you will go to tents your.
Gij moet het toebereiden en eten op de plaats, die Jahweh, uw God, zal uitverkiezen; eerst de volgende morgen kunt ge naar uw tenten terugkeren.
8 Six days you will eat unleavened bread and [will be] on the day seventh an assembly to Yahweh God your not you will do work.
Zes dagen lang moet ge ongedesemde broden eten, en op de zevende dag moet er een godsdienstige bijeenkomst ter ere van Jahweh, uw God, worden gehouden, en moogt ge geen arbeid verrichten.
9 Seven weeks you will count for yourself from when begins a sickle in the standing grain you will begin to count seven weeks.
Zeven volle weken moet ge tellen van het ogenblik af, dat ge de sikkel in het koren slaat.
10 And you will observe a festival of weeks to Yahweh God your a sufficiency of a freewill offering of hand your which you will give just as he will bless you Yahweh God your.
Dan moet ge het feest der weken voor Jahweh, uw God, vieren, en naar uw vermogen, en naar gelang Jahweh, uw God, u heeft gezegend, een vrijwillige gave schenken.
11 And you will rejoice before - Yahweh God your you and son your and daughter your and [male] servant your and female servant your and the Levite who [is] in gates your and the sojourner and the fatherless one and the widow who [are] in midst your in the place where he will choose Yahweh God your to cause to dwell name his there.
Dan moet ge met uw zoon en uw dochter, uw knecht en uw dienstmaagd, met den leviet, die binnen uw poorten woont, met den vreemdeling, den wees en de weduwe, die in uw midden wonen, vrolijk zijn voor het aanschijn van Jahweh, uw God, op de plaats, die Jahweh, uw God, zal uitverkiezen, om er zijn Naam te vestigen.
12 And you will remember that a slave you were in Egypt and you will take care and you will observe the statutes these.
Denk er aan, dat ge slaaf zijt geweest in Egypte, en onderhoud al deze bepalingen met de grootste zorg.
13 [the] festival of The booths you will observe yourself seven days when gathering you from threshing floor your and from wine-press your.
Het loofhuttenfeest moet ge zeven dagen lang vieren, wanneer gij de vruchten van uw dorsvloer en wijnpers binnenhaalt.
14 And you will rejoice at festival your you and son your and daughter your and [male] servant your and female servant your and the Levite and the sojourner and the fatherless one and the widow who [are] in gates your.
Ge moet vrolijk zijn op uw feest met uw zoon en uw dochter, uw knecht en uw dienstmaagd, met den leviet en den vreemde, den wees en de weduwe, die binnen uw poorten wonen.
15 Seven days you will celebrate a festival to Yahweh God your in the place which he will choose Yahweh for he will bless you Yahweh God your in all produce your and in all [the] work of hands your and you will be surely joyful.
Zeven dagen lang zult ge feest vieren ter ere van Jahweh, uw God, op de plaats, die Jahweh zal uitverkiezen. Want Jahweh, uw God, zal u zegenen bij heel uw oogst en bij al het werk uwer handen; daarom moet ge vrolijk zijn.
16 Three times - in the year he will appear every male your with [the] presence of - Yahweh God your in the place which he will choose at [the] festival of the unleavened bread and at [the] festival of the weeks and at [the] festival of the booths and not he will appear with [the] presence of Yahweh emptily.
Drie maal per jaar moeten alle mannen voor het aanschijn van Jahweh, uw God, verschijnen op de plaats, die Hij zal uitverkiezen: op het feest van de ongedesemde broden, op het feest der weken, en op het loofhuttenfeest. Maar men mag niet met lege handen voor Jahweh verschijnen;
17 Anyone according to [the] gift of hand his according to [the] blessing of Yahweh God your which he has given to you.
doch iedereen moet geven naar vermogen en naar de zegen, die Jahweh, uw God, u geschonken heeft.
18 Judges and officials you will appoint for yourself in all gates your which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you for tribes your and they will judge the people judgment of righteousness.
Ge moet in al uw steden, die Jahweh, uw God, aan uw stammen zal geven, rechters en ambtslieden over u aanstellen, die voor het volk een rechtvaardig oordeel zullen vellen.
19 Not you will turn aside justice not you will pay regard to faces and not you will take a bribe for the bribe it makes blind [the] eyes of wise [people] so it may pervert [the] words of righteous [people].
Ge moogt het recht niet verkrachten, geen aanzien van personen laten gelden, en geen geschenken aannemen; want geschenken verblinden de ogen der wijzen, en verdraaien de woorden der rechtvaardigen.
20 Righteousness righteousness you will pursue so that you may live and you will take possession of the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you.
Voor gerechtigheid, en voor gerechtigheid alleen moet ge ijveren, opdat ge moogt leven en het land moogt bezitten, dat Jahweh, uw God, u gaat geven.
21 Not you will plant for yourself an Asherah pole any tree beside [the] altar of Yahweh God your which you will make for yourself.
Ge moogt geen gewijde bomen planten, van welke soort dan ook, naast het altaar van Jahweh, uw God, dat gij voor u zult bouwen,
22 And not you will set up for yourself a sacred pillar which he hates Yahweh God your.
noch een wijsteen oprichten, want Jahweh, uw God, haat ze.
