Deuteronomy 14
1 [are] children You of Yahweh God your not you will cut yourselves and not you will make baldness between eyes your to a dead [person].
"Vous êtes les enfants de l’Éternel, votre Dieu: ne vous tailladez point le corps, ne vous rasez pas entre les yeux, en l’honneur d’un mort.
2 For [are] a people holy you to Yahweh God your and you he has chosen Yahweh to become for him a people of possession from all the peoples which [are] on [the] surface of the ground.
Car tu es un peuple consacré à l’Éternel, ton Dieu, et c’est toi qu’il a choisi, l’Éternel, pour lui être un peuple spécial entre tous les peuples répandus sur la terre.
3 Not you will eat any disgusting thing.
Tu ne mangeras d’aucune chose abominable.
4 This [is] the animal which you will eat an ox an animal of sheep and an animal of goats.
Voici les animaux dont vous pouvez manger: le bœuf, le menu bétail, brebis et chèvre;
5 A deer and a gazelle and a roe-deer and a wild goat and an ibex and an antelope and a mountain sheep.
le cerf, le chevreuil, le daim, le bouquetin, l’antilope, l’aurochs, le zémer.
6 And every animal [which] divides a hoof and [which] cleaves a cleft of two hooves [which] brings up cud among the animal[s] it you will eat.
Bref, tout quadrupède qui a le pied corné et divisé en deux ongles distincts, parmi les animaux ruminants, vous pouvez le manger.
7 Nevertheless this not you will eat any of [those which] bring up the cud and [any] of those dividing the hoof cloven the camel and the hare and the rock badger that [is] bringing up cud they and a hoof not they divide [are] unclean they to you.
Mais vous ne mangerez point les suivants, qui ruminent ou qui ont l’ongle fendu seulement: le chameau, le lièvre, la gerboise (car ils ruminent, mais n’ont pas l’ongle fendu: ils seront impurs pour vous);
8 And the pig that [is] dividing a hoof it and not cud [is] unclean it to you any of meat their not you will eat and carcass their not you will touch.
ni le porc, parce qu’il a l’ongle fendu, mais ne rumine point: il sera impur pour vous. Ne mangez point de leur chair, et ne touchez point à leur cadavre.
9 This you will eat from all that [is] in the water all that [belongs] to it fin and scale you will eat.
Voici ceux que vous mangerez, entre les animaux aquatiques: tout ce qui a des nageoires et des écailles, vous pouvez le manger;
10 And all that not [belongs] to it fin and scale not you will eat [is] unclean it to you.
mais tout ce qui est privé de nageoires et d’écailles, vous n’en mangerez point: c’est impur pour vous.
11 Every bird clean you will eat.
Tout oiseau pur, vous pouvez le manger.
12 And this [is that] which not you will eat any of them the eagle and the bearded vulture and the osprey.
Voici ceux que vous ne mangerez point: l’aigle, l’orfraie, la valérie;
13 And the red kite and the hawk and the black kite to kind its.
le faucon, le vautour, l’autour selon ses espèces;
14 And every raven to kind its.
tous les corbeaux selon leurs espèces;
15 And [the] daughter of the ostrich and the screech owl and the gull and the falcon to kind its.
l’autruche, l’hirondelle, la mouette, l’épervier selon ses espèces;
16 The little owl and the great owl and the barn owl.
le hibou, la hulotte, le porphyrion;
17 And the desert owl and the Egyptian vulture and the cormorant.
le pélican, le percnoptère, le cormoran;
18 And the stork and the heron to kind its and the hoopoe and the bat.
la cigogne, le héron selon ses espèces, le tétras et la chauve-souris.
19 And every swarming thing of the insect [is] unclean it to you not they will be eaten.
Tout insecte ailé sera impur pour vous, l’on n’en mangera point;
20 Every insect clean you will eat.
mais tout volatile pur, vous pourrez le manger.
21 Not you will eat any carcass to the sojourner who [is] in gates your you will give it and he will eat it or you will sell it to a foreigner for [are] a people holy you to Yahweh God your not you will boil a kid in [the] milk of mother its.
Vous ne mangerez d’aucune bête morte: donne-la à manger à l’étranger admis dans tes murs, ou vends-la à ceux du dehors, car tu es un peuple consacré à l’Éternel, ton Dieu. Tu ne feras pas cuire un chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.
22 Fully you will tithe all [the] produce of seed your which comes out the field a year a year.
Tu prélèveras la dîme du produit de ta semence, de ce qui vient annuellement sur ton champ,
23 And you will eat before - Yahweh God your in the place where he will choose to cause to dwell name his there [the] tithe of grain your new wine your and fresh oil your and [the] firstborn of herd your and flock your so that you may learn to fear Yahweh God your all the days.
et tu la consommeras en présence de l’Éternel, ton Dieu, dans la localité qu’il aura choisie comme résidence de son nom; savoir, la dîme de ton blé, de ton vin et de ton huile, les premiers-nés de ton gros et de ton menu bétail, afin que tu t’accoutumes à honorer continuellement l’Éternel, ton Dieu.
24 And if it will be [too] great for you the journey for not you will be able to carry it that it will be [too] far for you the place where he will choose Yahweh God your to put name his there for he will bless you Yahweh God your.
Si le chemin, trop long pour toi, ne te permet pas ce transport, éloigné que tu seras du lieu choisi par l’Éternel, ton Dieu, comme siège de son nom, et parce que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’aura comblé de biens,
25 And you will exchange [it] for money and you will secure the money in hand your and you will go to the place which he will choose Yahweh God your it.
tu les convertiras en argent, tu réuniras la somme dans ta main, et tu iras à l’endroit que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, aura choisi.
26 And you will exchange the money for all that it will desire appetite your for cattle and for sheep and for wine and for strong drink and for all that it will ask you appetite your and you will eat there before Yahweh God your and you will rejoice you and household your.
Tu emploieras cet argent à telle chose qu’il te plaira, gros ou menu bétail, vins ou liqueurs fortes, enfin ce que ton goût réclamera, et tu le consommeras là, en présence de l’Éternel, ton Dieu, et tu te réjouiras avec ta famille.
27 And the Levite who [is] in gates your not you will neglect him for not [belongs] to him a portion and an inheritance with you.
Et le Lévite qui sera dans tes murs, tu ne le négligeras pas, car il n’a point de part ni de patrimoine comme toi.
28 From [the] end of - three years you will bring out all [the] tithe of produce your in the year that and you will deposit [it] in gates your.
A la fin de la troisième année, tu extrairas la dîme entière de tes produits de cette année et tu la déposeras dans tes murs,
29 And he will come the Levite for not [belongs] to him a portion and an inheritance with you and the sojourner and the fatherless one and the widow who [are] in gates your and they will eat and they will be satisfied so that he may bless you Yahweh God your in all [the] work of hand your which you will do.
pour que le Lévite, qui n’a point de part ni de patrimoine comme toi, l’étranger, l’orphelin et la veuve qui sont dans tes murs, puissent venir manger et se rassasier; de la sorte, l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te bénira en toute œuvre que ta main pourra faire.
