Deuteronomy 12
1 These [are] the statutes and the judgments which you will take care! to observe in the land which he has given Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your to you to take possession of it all the days which you [are] alive on the land.
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ προστάγματα καὶ αἱ κρίσεις ἃς φυλάξετε τοῦ ποιεῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἧς κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν ἐν κλήρῳ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς ὑμεῖς ζῆτε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
2 Certainly you will destroy! all the places where they have served there the nations whom you [are] about to dispossess them gods their on the mountains high and on the hills and under every tree luxuriant.
ἀπωλείᾳ ἀπολεῖτε πάντας τοὺς τόπους ἐν οἷς ἐλάτρευσαν ἐκεῖ τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν οὓς ὑμεῖς κληρονομεῖτε αὐτούς ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων τῶν ὑψηλῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θινῶν καὶ ὑποκάτω δένδρου δασέος
3 And you will break down altars their and you will shatter sacred pillars their and Asherah poles their you will burn! with fire and [the] images of gods their you will cut down! and you will destroy name their from the place that.
καὶ κατασκάψετε τοὺς βωμοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ συντρίψετε τὰς στήλας αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἄλση αὐτῶν ἐκκόψετε καὶ τὰ γλυπτὰ τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν κατακαύσετε πυρί καὶ ἀπολεῖται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου
4 Not you will do! thus to Yahweh God your.
οὐ ποιήσετε οὕτως κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν
5 That except to the place where he will choose Yahweh God your from all tribes your to put name his there to dwelling its you will resort and you will go there towards.
ἀλλ’ ἢ εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ἐν μιᾷ τῶν φυλῶν ὑμῶν ἐπονομάσαι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ ἐπικληθῆναι καὶ ἐκζητήσετε καὶ εἰσελεύσεσθε ἐκεῖ
6 And you will bring there towards burnt offerings your and sacrifices your and tithes your and [the] contribution of hand your and votive offerings your and freewill offerings your and [the] firstborn of herd[s] your and flock[s] your.
καὶ οἴσετε ἐκεῖ τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ θυσιάσματα ὑμῶν καὶ τὰς ἀπαρχὰς ὑμῶν καὶ τὰς εὐχὰς ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ ἑκούσια ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν βοῶν ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν προβάτων ὑμῶν
7 And you will eat there before Yahweh God your and you will rejoice in every undertaking of hand your you and households your which he has blessed you Yahweh God your.
καὶ φάγεσθε ἐκεῖ ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν καὶ εὐφρανθήσεσθε ἐπὶ πᾶσιν οὗ ἂν τὴν χεῖρα ἐπιβάλητε ὑμεῖς καὶ οἱ οἶκοι ὑμῶν καθότι εὐλόγησέν σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου
8 Not you must do! according to all that we [are] doing here this day everyone all the right in own eyes his.
οὐ ποιήσετε πάντα ἃ ἡμεῖς ποιοῦμεν ὧδε σήμερον ἕκαστος τὸ ἀρεστὸν ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ
9 For not you have come until now to the resting place and to the inheritance which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you.
οὐ γὰρ ἥκατε ἕως τοῦ νῦν εἰς τὴν κατάπαυσιν καὶ εἰς τὴν κληρονομίαν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν
10 And you will pass over the Jordan and you will dwell in the land which Yahweh God your [is] giving as an inheritance you and he will give rest to you from all enemies your from round about and you will dwell security.
καὶ διαβήσεσθε τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ κατοικήσετε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἧς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν κατακληρονομεῖ ὑμῖν καὶ καταπαύσει ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐχθρῶν ὑμῶν τῶν κύκλῳ καὶ κατοικήσετε μετὰ ἀσφαλείας
11 And it will be the place which he will choose Yahweh God your it to cause to dwell name his there there towards you will bring all that I [am] commanding you burnt offerings your and sacrifices your tithes your and [the] contribution of hand your and all [the] choicest of votive offerings your which you will vow to Yahweh.
καὶ ἔσται ὁ τόπος ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ ἐκεῖ οἴσετε πάντα ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν σήμερον τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ θυσιάσματα ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ ἐπιδέκατα ὑμῶν καὶ τὰς ἀπαρχὰς τῶν χειρῶν ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ δόματα ὑμῶν καὶ πᾶν ἐκλεκτὸν τῶν δώρων ὑμῶν ὅσα ἐὰν εὔξησθε τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν
12 And you will rejoice before Yahweh God your you and sons your and daughters your and [male] servants your and female servants your and the Levite who [is] in gates your for not [belongs] to him a portion and an inheritance with you.
καὶ εὐφρανθήσεσθε ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν ὑμεῖς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμῶν καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες ὑμῶν οἱ παῖδες ὑμῶν καὶ αἱ παιδίσκαι ὑμῶν καὶ ὁ Λευίτης ὁ ἐπὶ τῶν πυλῶν ὑμῶν ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ μερὶς οὐδὲ κλῆρος μεθ’ ὑμῶν
13 Take heed to yourself lest you should offer up burnt offerings your in every place which you will see.
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ μὴ ἀνενέγκῃς τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματά σου ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ οὗ ἐὰν ἴδῃς
14 That except in the place which he will choose Yahweh in one of tribes your there you will offer up burnt offerings your and there you will do all that I [am] commanding you.
ἀλλ’ ἢ εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτὸν ἐν μιᾷ τῶν φυλῶν σου ἐκεῖ ἀνοίσεις τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματά σου καὶ ἐκεῖ ποιήσεις πάντα ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον
15 Only in all [the] desire of self your you will slaughter - and you will eat meat according to [the] blessing of Yahweh God your which he has given to you in all gates your the unclean and the clean he will eat it like gazelle and like deer.
ἀλλ’ ἢ ἐν πάσῃ ἐπιθυμίᾳ σου θύσεις καὶ φάγῃ κρέα κατὰ τὴν εὐλογίαν κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ἣν ἔδωκέν σοι ἐν πάσῃ πόλει ὁ ἀκάθαρτος ἐν σοὶ καὶ ὁ καθαρὸς ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ φάγεται αὐτὸ ὡς δορκάδα ἢ ἔλαφον
16 Only the blood not you must eat on the ground you will pour out it like water.
πλὴν τὸ αἷμα οὐ φάγεσθε ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκχεεῖτε αὐτὸ ὡς ὕδωρ
17 Not you will be able to eat in gates your [the] tithe of grain your and new wine your and fresh oil your and [the] firstborn of herd your and flock your and all votive offerings your which you will vow and freewill offerings your and [the] contribution of hand your.
οὐ δυνήσῃ φαγεῖν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου τὸ ἐπιδέκατον τοῦ σίτου σου καὶ τοῦ οἴνου σου καὶ τοῦ ἐλαίου σου τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν βοῶν σου καὶ τῶν προβάτων σου καὶ πάσας εὐχάς ὅσας ἂν εὔξησθε καὶ τὰς ὁμολογίας ὑμῶν καὶ τὰς ἀπαρχὰς τῶν χειρῶν ὑμῶν
18 That except before Yahweh God your you will eat it in the place which he will choose Yahweh God your it you and son your and daughter your and [male] servant your and female servant your and the Levite who [is] in gates your and you will rejoice before Yahweh God your in every undertaking of hand your.
ἀλλ’ ἢ ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου φάγῃ αὐτὰ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ ᾧ ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτῷ σὺ καὶ ὁ υἱός σου καὶ ἡ θυγάτηρ σου ὁ παῖς σου καὶ ἡ παιδίσκη σου καὶ ὁ προσήλυτος ὁ ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν ὑμῶν καὶ εὐφρανθήσῃ ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ἐπὶ πάντα οὗ ἂν ἐπιβάλῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου
19 Take heed to yourself lest you should neglect the Levite all days your on land your.
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ μὴ ἐγκαταλίπῃς τὸν Λευίτην πάντα τὸν χρόνον ὅσον ἐὰν ζῇς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
20 If he will enlarge Yahweh God your territory your just as he spoke to you and you will say I want to eat meat for it will desire appetite your to eat meat in all [the] desire appetite your you will eat meat.
ἐὰν δὲ ἐμπλατύνῃ κύριος ὁ θεός σου τὰ ὅριά σου καθάπερ ἐλάλησέν σοι καὶ ἐρεῖς φάγομαι κρέα ἐὰν ἐπιθυμήσῃ ἡ ψυχή σου ὥστε φαγεῖν κρέα ἐν πάσῃ ἐπιθυμίᾳ τῆς ψυχῆς σου φάγῃ κρέα
21 If it will be [too] far for you the place where he will choose Yahweh God your to put name his there and you will slaughter some of herd your and some of flock your which he has given Yahweh to you just as I commanded you and you will eat in gates your in all [the] desire of self your.
ἐὰν δὲ μακρότερον ἀπέχῃ σου ὁ τόπος ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ καὶ θύσεις ἀπὸ τῶν βοῶν σου καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν προβάτων σου ὧν ἂν δῷ ὁ θεός σοι ὃν τρόπον ἐνετειλάμην σοι καὶ φάγῃ ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου κατὰ τὴν ἐπιθυμίαν τῆς ψυχῆς σου
22 Surely just as it is eaten the gazelle and the deer so you will eat it the unclean and the clean alike he will eat it.
ὡς ἔσθεται ἡ δορκὰς καὶ ἡ ἔλαφος οὕτως φάγῃ αὐτό ὁ ἀκάθαρτος ἐν σοὶ καὶ ὁ καθαρὸς ὡσαύτως ἔδεται
23 Only be strong to not to eat the blood for the blood it [is] the life and not you must eat the life with the meat.
πρόσεχε ἰσχυρῶς τοῦ μὴ φαγεῖν αἷμα ὅτι τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ψυχή οὐ βρωθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ μετὰ τῶν κρεῶν
24 Not you must eat it on the ground you will pour out it like water.
οὐ φάγεσθε ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκχεεῖτε αὐτὸ ὡς ὕδωρ
25 Not you must eat it so that it may go well for you and for children your after you for you will do the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh.
οὐ φάγῃ αὐτό ἵνα εὖ σοι γένηται καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς σου μετὰ σέ ἐὰν ποιήσῃς τὸ καλὸν καὶ τὸ ἀρεστὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου
26 Only holy things your which they will belong to you and votive offerings your you will take and you will go to the place which he will choose Yahweh.
πλὴν τὰ ἅγιά σου ἐὰν γένηταί σοι καὶ τὰς εὐχάς σου λαβὼν ἥξεις εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ
27 And you will make burnt offerings your the flesh and the blood on [the] altar of Yahweh God your and [the] blood of sacrifices your it will be poured out on [the] altar of Yahweh God your and the flesh you will eat.
καὶ ποιήσεις τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματά σου τὰ κρέα ἀνοίσεις ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου τὸ δὲ αἷμα τῶν θυσιῶν σου προσχεεῖς πρὸς τὴν βάσιν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου τὰ δὲ κρέα φάγῃ
28 Take care and you will hear all the words these which I [am] commanding you so that it may go well for you and for children your after you until perpetuity for you will do the good [thing] and the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh God your.
φυλάσσου καὶ ἄκουε καὶ ποιήσεις πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι ἵνα εὖ σοι γένηται καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς σου δῑ αἰῶνος ἐὰν ποιήσῃς τὸ καλὸν καὶ τὸ ἀρεστὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου
29 If he will cut off Yahweh God your the nations where you [are] about to go there towards by dispossessing them from before you and you will dispossess them and you will dwell in land their.
ἐὰν δὲ ἐξολεθρεύσῃ κύριος ὁ θεός σου τὰ ἔθνη εἰς οὓς σὺ εἰσπορεύῃ ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἀπὸ προσώπου σου καὶ κατακληρονομήσῃς αὐτοὺς καὶ κατοικήσῃς ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτῶν
30 Take heed to yourself lest you should be ensnared after them after have been destroyed they from before you and lest you should enquire of gods their saying how? do they serve the nations these gods their so I may do thus also I.
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ μὴ ἐκζητήσῃς ἐπακολουθῆσαι αὐτοῖς μετὰ τὸ ἐξολεθρευθῆναι αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ προσώπου σου οὐ μὴ ἐκζητήσῃς τοὺς θεοὺς αὐτῶν λέγων πῶς ποιοῦσιν τὰ ἔθνη ταῦτα τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν ποιήσω κἀγώ
31 Not you will do thus to Yahweh God your for every abomination of Yahweh which he hates they have done to gods their for also sons their and daughters their they burn with fire to gods their.
οὐ ποιήσεις οὕτως κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου τὰ γὰρ βδελύγματα ἃ κύριος ἐμίσησεν ἐποίησαν τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν ὅτι τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν κατακαίουσιν ἐν πυρὶ τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν
32 Every word which I [am] commanding you it you will take care to do not you must add to it and not you must diminish from it.
πᾶν ῥῆμα ὃ ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον τοῦτο φυλάξῃ ποιεῖν οὐ προσθήσεις ἐπ’ αὐτὸ οὐδὲ ἀφελεῖς ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ
