Deuteronomy 11
1 And you will love Yahweh God your and you will keep command his and statutes his and judgments his and commandments his all the days.
Amen al Señor su Dios y obedezcan su palabra, sus normas, preceptos y mandamientos.
2 And you will know this day that - not children your who not they have known and who not they have seen [the] training of Yahweh God your greatness his hand his mighty and arm his outstretched.
Dense cuenta de que son ustedes y no sus hijos los que han experimentado la disciplina del Señor su Dios. Fueron ustedes los que vieron su grandeza, su poder y su fuerza,
3 And signs his and deeds his which he did in [the] midst of Egypt to Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and to all land his.
sí como sus milagros. Vieron lo que hizo con el Faraón, rey de Egipto, y con todo su país.
4 And which he did to [the] army of Egypt to horses its and to chariotry its when he caused to flow [the] water of [the] sea of reed[s] over faces their when pursued they after you and he destroyed them Yahweh until the day this.
Vieron lo que le hizo al ejército egipcio y a sus caballos y carros cuando los arrastró por el Mar Rojo, ahogándolos mientras los perseguían a ustedes. ¡La historia no ha cambiado!
5 And which he did to you in the wilderness until came you to the place this.
Vieron lo que hizo por ustedes en el desierto hasta que llegaron aquí.
6 And which he did to Dathan and to Abiram [the] sons of Eliab [the] son of Reuben when it opened the earth mouth its and it swallowed them and households their and tents their and all the substance which [was] at feet their in [the] midst of all Israel.
Vieron lo que hizo, allí mismo entre ustedes, a Dotán y a Abiram, los hijos de Eliab de la tribu de Rubén, cuando la tierra se abrió y se los tragó: sus familias, sus tiendas y todos sus animales.
7 For eyes your [are] the [ones which] saw all [the] work of Yahweh great which he did.
Ustedes vieron con sus propios ojos todas las cosas asombrosas que el Señor ha hecho.
8 And you will keep all the commandment which I [am] commanding you this day so that you may be strong and you will go and you will take possession of the land where you [are] about to pass over there towards to take possession of it.
Así que debes cumplir todos los mandamientos que te doy hoy. De esta manera tendrás la fuerza para entrar y apoderarte del país que estás cruzando el Jordán para tenerlo como tuyo,
9 And so that you may prolong days on the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to give to them and to offspring their a land flowing of milk and honey.
También tendrás una larga vida en el país que el Señor prometió dar a tus antepasados y a sus descendientes, una tierra que fluye leche y miel.
10 For the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it not [is] like [the] land of Egypt it where you came out from there where you sowed seed your and you watered [it] with foot your like [the] garden of vegetable[s].
El país al que entrarán no es como el país de Egipto del que vienen. Allí tenían que sembrar tu semilla y trabajar duro, regando la tierra, como si estuvieran cuidando de un huerto.
11 And the land where you [are] about to pass over there towards to take possession of it [is] a land of mountains and valleys to [the] rain of the heavens it drinks water.
Pero en este país que habitarán al cruzar el Jordán es una tierra de montañas y valles que recibe mucha lluvia.
12 A land which Yahweh God your [is] caring for it continually [the] eyes of Yahweh God your [are] on it from [the] beginning of the year and until [the] end of a year.
Es una tierra que el Señor su Dios cuida él mismo. El Señor su Dios siempre la está cuidando, todo el año.
13 And it will be certainly [if] you will obey commandments my which I [am] commanding you this day to love Yahweh God your and to serve him with all heart your and with all being your.
Así que si te dedicas a guardar los mandamientos que te doy hoy, si amas al Señor tu Dios y adoras con toda tu mente y con todo tu ser,
14 And I will give [the] rain of land your at appropriate time its autumn rain and spring rain and you will gather grain your and new wine your and fresh oil your.
entonces enviaré lluvia para tu tierra en el momento adecuado, lluvia en otoño y primavera, para que puedan cosechar el grano, el vino nuevo y el aceite de oliva.
15 And I will give grass in field[s] your for cattle your and you will eat and you will be satisfied.
También proveeré los campos de pasto para tu ganado. Tendrás más que suficiente para comer.
16 Take heed to yourselves lest it should be deceived heart your and you will turn aside and you will serve gods other and you will bow down to them.
Pero asegúrate de que no dejarte engañar e ir a adorar e inclinarte ante otros dioses,
17 And it will burn [the] anger of Yahweh on you and he will shut up the heavens and not it will come rain and the ground not it will yield produce its and you will perish quickly from on the land good which Yahweh [is] about to give to you.
o el Señor se enojará contigo. No enviará ninguna lluvia, y la tierra no producirá ninguna cosecha, y pronto morirás, incluso en la buena tierra que el Señor te está dando.
18 And you will put words my these on heart your and on being your and you will tie them for a sign on hand your and they will be for marks between eyes your.
Concentren sus mentes en las palabras que les estoy diciendo. Amárrenlas en sus manos como recordatorio y pónganlas también en sus frentes.
19 And you will teach them children your by speaking in them when sitting you in house your and when walking you on the road and when lying down you and when rising up you.
Enséñenlas a sus hijos y hablen de ellas cuando estén en casa y al viajar, cuando se acuesten y cuando se levanten.
20 And you will write them on [the] doorposts of house your and on gates your.
Escríbanlas en los postes de sus casas y en sus puertas,
21 So that they may increase days your and [the] days of children your on the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to give to them like [the] days of the heavens above the earth.
para que mientras dure la tierra, ustedes y sus hijos tengan una larga vida en el país que el Señor prometió a sus antepasados.
22 That except certainly you will keep! all the commandment this which I [am] commanding you to do it to love Yahweh God your to walk in all ways his and to cleave to him.
Si se cuidan de cumplir todos estos mandamientos que les doy para seguir, si aman al Señor su Dios y siguen todos sus caminos, y se aferran a él,
23 And he will dispossess Yahweh all the nations these from to before you and you will dispossess nations great and mighty more than you.
entonces el Señor expulsará a todas estas naciones que están delante de ustedes, y se apoderan del país de las naciones que son más grandes y más fuertes que ustedes.
24 Every place which it will tread [the] sole of foot your on it to you it will belong from the wilderness and Lebanon from the River [the] river of Euphrates and to the sea western it will be territory your.
Todos los lugares por los que camines te pertenecerán. Su territorio se extenderá desde el desierto hasta el Líbano, y desde el río Éufrates hasta el mar Mediterráneo.
25 Not he will stand anyone in faces your dread your and fear your he will put - Yahweh God your over [the] face of all the land which you will tread on it just as he spoke to you.
Nadie podrá resistirte; el Señor tu Dios hará que todos los que viven allí te teman absolutamente, dondequiera que vayas, tal como te prometió.
26 See I [am] setting before you this day a blessing and a curse.
¡Miren! Hoy pongo ante ustedes una bendición y una maldición.
27 The blessing that you will obey [the] commandments of Yahweh God your which I [am] commanding you this day.
Recibirán una bendición si obedecen los mandamientos del Señor su Dios que les doy hoy.
28 And the curse if not you will obey [the] commandments of Yahweh God your and you will turn aside from the way which I [am] commanding you this day to walk after gods other which not you have known.
Pero recibirán una maldición si desobedecen los mandamientos del Señor su Dios y no siguen el camino que te ordeno hoy, y adoran a otros dioses desconocidos.
29 And it will be that he will bring you Yahweh God your into the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it and you will set the blessing on [the] mountain of Gerizim and the curse on [the] mountain of Ebal.
Cuando el Señor su Dios los lleve al país donde habitarán, anuncien la bendición en el Monte Gerizim y la maldición en el Monte Ebal.
30 ¿ Not [are] they on [the] other side of the Jordan behind [the] direction of [the] setting of the sun in [the] land of the Canaanite[s] who is dwelling in the Arabah opposite to Gilgal beside [the] great trees of Moreh.
(Estas montañas están al oeste del Jordán, en el país de los cananeos que viven en el Arabá cerca de Gilgal, junto a los robles de Moreh).
31 For you [are] about to pass over the Jordan to go to take possession of the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you and you will take possession of it and you will dwell in it.
Pronto cruzarán el Jordán para entrar y ocupar el país que el Señor su Dios les da. Cuando lo tomen y se establezcan allí,
32 And you will take care to observe all the statutes and the judgments which I [am] setting before you this day.
asegúrense de seguir todas las reglas y preceptos que hoy les estoy dando.
