Deuteronomy 10
1 At the time that he said Yahweh to me cut out for yourself two (tablets of *L(abh)*) stone like the former [tablets] and come up to me the mountain towards and you will make for yourself an ark of wood.
Silloin sanoi Herra minulle: vuole sinulles kaksi kivistä taulua entisten kaltaista, ja astu minun tyköni vuorelle, ja tee sinulles puuarkki,
2 So I may inscribe on the tablets the words which they were on the tablets former which you shattered and you will put them in the ark.
Niin minä kirjoitan niihin tauluihin ne sanat, jotka ensimäisissä tauluissa olivat, jotka särkenyt olet: ja pane ne arkkiin.
3 And I made an ark of wood of acacia and I cut out two tablets of stone like the former [tablets] and I went up the mountain towards and [the] two the tablets [were] in hand my.
Niin minä tein arkin sittimipuusta, ja vuolin kaksi kivistä taulua entisten kaltaista, ja astuin vuorelle, pitäen kaksi taulua kädessäni.
4 And he wrote on the tablets like the writing former [the] ten the words which he had spoken Yahweh to you on the mountain from [the] middle of the fire on [the] day of the assembly and he gave them Yahweh to me.
Niin hän kirjoitti ensimäisen kirjoituksen jälkeen, niihin tauluihin ne kymmenet sanat, jotka Herra teille puhui vuorella tulesta, kokouksen päivänä: ja Herra antoi ne minulle.
5 And I turned and I came down from the mountain and I put the tablets in the ark which I had made and they have been there just as he commanded me Yahweh.
Niin minä käännyin ja astuin vuorelta alas, ja panin taulut arkkiin, jonka minä tein, että heidän piti siellä oleman, niinkuin Herra minulle käskenyt oli.
6 And [the] people of Israel they set out from Beeroth Bene-Yaaqan Moserah there he died Aaron and he was buried there and he served as priest Eleazar son his in place of him.
Ja Israelin lapset menivät BerotBeneJaakanista Moseraan: siellä kuoli Aaron ja haudattiin, ja hänen poikansa Eleatsar toimitti papin virkaa hänen siassansa.
7 From there they set out Gudgodah towards and from Gudgodah towards Jotbathah a land of torrents of water.
Sieltä menivät he Gudgodaan: Gudgodasta Jodbatiin, siihen maahan, jossa vesi-ojat ovat.
8 At the time that he set apart Yahweh [the] tribe of the Levite[s] to carry [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh to stand before Yahweh to serve him and to bless in name his until the day this.
Silloin eroitti Herra Levin suvun, kantamaan Herran liitonarkkia, seisomaan Herran edessä, palvelemaan häntä ja kiittämään hänen nimeänsä tähän päivään asti.
9 There-fore not it belongs to Levi a portion and an inheritance with brothers his Yahweh he [is] inheritance his just as he spoke Yahweh God your to him.
Sentähden ei ollut Leviläisillä yhtään osaa eli perimystä veljeinsä kanssa; sillä Herra on heidän perimyksensä, niinkuin Herra sinun Jumalas sanoi heille.
10 And I I remained on the mountain like the days former forty day[s] and forty night[s] and he listened Yahweh to me also at the time that not he was willing Yahweh to destroy you.
Ja minä seisoin vuorella niinkuin ennenkin, neljäkymmentä päivää ja neljäkymmentä yötä, ja vielä silloinkin kuuli Herra minun rukoukseni, eikä Herra tahtonut hukuttaa sinua.
11 And he said Yahweh to me arise go to journeying before the people so they may go and they may take possession of the land which I swore to ancestors their to give to them.
Vaan Herra sanoi minulle: nouse, ja mene matkaas, niin ettäs kansan edellä vaellat, että he tulisivat ja omistaisivat sen maan, jonka minä vannoin heidän isillensä antaakseni heille.
12 And now O Israel what? [is] Yahweh God your asking from with you that except to fear Yahweh God your to walk in all ways his and to love him and to serve Yahweh God your with all heart your and with all being your.
Nyt siis Israel, mitä Herra sinun Jumalas sinulta muuta anoo; vaan ettäs pelkäisit Herraa sinun Jumalaas, ja vaeltaisit kaikissa hänen teissänsä ja rakastaisit häntä, ja palvelisit Herraa sinun Jumalaas kaikesta sinun sydämestäs ja kaikesta sinun sielustas:
13 To keep [the] commandments of Yahweh and statutes his which I [am] commanding you this day for good of you.
Ettäs myös pitäisit Herran käskyt ja hänen säätynsä, jotka minä käsken sinulle tänäpänä, että sinulle hyvin kävis.
14 There! [belong] to Yahweh God your the heavens and [the] heavens of the heavens the earth and all that [is] in it.
Katso, taivaat ja taivasten taivaat ovat Herran sinun Jumalas, ja maa ja kaikki, mitä hänessä on.
15 Only ancestors your he loved Yahweh to love them and he chose offspring their after them you from all the peoples as the day this.
Kuitenkin Herralla on ollut hyvä suosio sinun isäis tykö rakastaaksensa heitä, ja on valinnut heidän siemenensä heidän jälkeensä, nimittäin teidät kaikista kansoista, niinkuin tänäpäivänäkin on.
16 And you will circumcise [the] foreskin of heart your and neck your not you will make stiff again.
Niin ympärileikatkaat teidän sydämenne esinahka, ja älkäät enää niskurit olko!
17 For Yahweh God your he [is] [the] God of the gods and [the] lord of the lords the God great mighty and awesome who not he lifts up face and not he takes a bribe.
Sillä Herra teidän Jumalanne on kaikkein jumalain Jumala, voimallinen ja peljättävä, joka ei katso muotoa, eikä lahjoja ota,
18 [he is] bringing about Judgment of a fatherless one and a widow and [he is] loving a sojourner to give to him food and clothing.
Joka orvoille ja leskille oikeuden tekee, ja rakastaa muukalaisia, niin että hän heille leivän ja vaatteen antaa.
19 And you will love the sojourner for sojourners you were in [the] land of Egypt.
Sentähden pitää teidänkin rakastaman muukalaista; sillä te myös olitte muukalaiset Egyptin maalla.
20 Yahweh God your you will fear him you will serve and to him you will cleave and in name his you will swear oaths.
Sinun pitää pelkäämän Herraa sinun Jumalaas, häntä pitää sinun palveleman, hänessä pitää sinun kiinni riippuman, ja hänen nimensä kautta vannoman.
21 He [is] praise your and he [is] God your who he has done with you the great [things] and the awesome [deeds] these which they have seen eyes your.
Hän on sinun ylistykses ja sinun Jumalas, joka sinulle teki suuria ja hirmuisia töitä, joita silmäs nähneet ovat.
22 Seventy person[s] they went down ancestors your (Egypt towards *L(abh)*) and now he has made you Yahweh God your like [the] stars of the heavens for multitude.
Sinun isäs menivät alas Egyptiin seitsemänkymmenen sielun kanssa; mutta nyt Herra sinun Jumalas on enentänyt sinun niinkuin taivaan tähdet.
