Daniel 8
1 In year three of [the] reign of Belshazzar the king a vision it appeared to me I Daniel after the [one] which it appeared to me at the beginning.
Im dritten Jahr des Königreichs des Königs Belsazer erschien mir, Daniel, ein Gesicht nach dem, so mir am ersten erschienen war.
2 And I saw in the vision and it was when saw I and I [was] in Susa the citadel which [is] in Elam the province and I saw in the vision and I I was at [the] canal of Ulai.
Ich war aber, da ich solch Gesicht sah, zu Schloß Susan im Lande Elam am Wasser Ulai.
3 And I lifted up eyes my and I saw and there! - a ram one [was] standing before the canal and [belonged] to it two horns and the two horns [were] high and the one [was] high more than the second and the high [one] [was] growing up at the last.
Und ich hub meine Augen auf und sah, und siehe, ein Widder stund vor dem Wasser, der hatte zwei hohe Hörner, doch eins höher denn das andere, und das höchste wuchs am letzten.
4 I saw the ram thrusting west-ward and north-ward and south-ward and any living creatures not they stood before it and there not [was one] delivering from hand its and it did according to pleasure its and it magnified itself.
Ich sah, daß der Widder mit den Hörnern stieß gegen Abend, gegen Mitternacht und gegen Mittag, und kein Tier konnte vor ihm bestehen noch von seiner Hand errettet werden, sondern er tat, was er wollte, und ward groß.
5 And I - I was observing and there! [the] he-goat of the goats [was] coming from the west over [the] surface of all the earth and not [it was] touching the earth and the he-goat a horn of conspicuousness [was] between eyes its.
Und indem ich darauf merkte, siehe, so kommt ein Ziegenbock vom Abend her über die ganze Erde, daß er die Erde nicht rührete; und der Bock hatte ein ansehnlich Horn zwischen seinen Augen.
6 And it came to the ram [the] possessor of the two horns which I had seen standing before the canal and it ran against it in [the] rage of strength its.
Und er kam bis zu dem Widder, der zwei Hörner hatte, den ich stehen sah vor dem Wasser; und er lief in seinem Zorn gewaltiglich zu ihm zu.
7 And I saw it approaching - beside the ram and it was enraged against it and it struck the ram and it broke [the] two horns its and not it was strength in the ram to stand before it and it threw it [the] ground towards and it trampled it and not anyone was delivering the ram from hand its.
Und ich sah ihm zu, daß er hart an den Widder kam, und ergrimmete über ihn und stieß den Widder und zerbrach ihm seine zwei Hörner. Und der Widder hatte keine Kraft, daß er vor ihm hätte mögen bestehen, sondern er warf ihn zu Boden und zertrat ihn; und niemand konnte den Widder von seiner Hand erretten.
8 And [the] he-goat of the goats it magnified itself up to muchness and just as became mighty it it was broken the horn great and they grew up conspicuousness four in place its to [the] four [the] winds of the heavens.
Und der Ziegenbock ward sehr groß. Und da er aufs stärkste worden war, zerbrach das große Horn; und wuchsen an des Statt ansehnliche vier gegen die vier Winde des Himmels.
9 And from the one of them it came out a horn one from a small [thing] and it became great excess to the south and to the east and to the beauty.
Und aus derselbigen einem wuchs ein klein Horn, das ward sehr groß gegen Mittag, gegen Morgen und gegen das werte Land.
10 And it became great to [the] host of the heavens and it made fall [the] ground towards some of the host and some of the stars and it trampled them.
Und es wuchs bis an des Himmels Heer und warf etliche davon und von den Sternen zur Erde und zertrat sie.
11 And to [the] commander of the host it magnified itself and from him (it was removed *Q(K)*) the perpetual [offering] and it was thrown down [the] place of sanctuary his.
Ja, es wuchs bis an den Fürsten des Heers und nahm von ihm weg das tägliche Opfer und verwüstete die Wohnung seines Heiligtums.
12 And an army it will be set over the perpetual [offering] in transgression and it will throw down truth [the] ground towards and it will act and it will succeed.
Es ward ihm aber solche Macht gegeben wider das tägliche Opfer um der Sünde willen, daß er die Wahrheit zu Boden schlüge und, was er tat, ihm gelingen mußte.
13 And I heard! one holy [one] speaking and he said one holy [one] to the certain [one] who was speaking until when? [will be] the vision the perpetual [offering] and the transgression desolate to give over and [the] sanctuary and an army trampling.
Ich hörete aber einen Heiligen reden; und derselbige Heilige sprach zu einem, der da redete: Wie lange soll doch währen solch Gesicht vom täglichen Opfer und von der Sünde, um welcher willen diese Verwüstung geschieht, daß beide, das Heiligtum und das Heer, zertreten werden?
14 And he said to me until evening morning two thousand and three hundreds and it will be put right [the] sanctuary.
Und er antwortete mir: Es sind zweitausend und dreihundert Tage, von Abend gegen Morgen zu rechnen, so wird das Heiligtum wieder geweihet werden.
15 And it was when saw I I Daniel the vision and I sought! understanding and there! [was] standing to before me like [the] appearance of a man.
Und da ich, Daniel, solch Gesicht sah und hätte es gerne verstanden, siehe, da stund es vor mir wie ein Mann.
16 And I heard [the] voice of a person between Ulai and he called and he said O Gabriel explain to this [one] the vision.
Und ich hörete zwischen Ulai eines Menschen Stimme, der rief und sprach: Gabriel, lege diesem das Gesicht aus, daß er's verstehe!
17 And he came beside standing place my and when came he I was terrified and I fell! on face my and he said to me understand O son of humankind that [is] for [the] time of [the] end the vision.
Und er kam hart zu mir. Ich erschrak aber, da er kam, und fiel auf mein Angesicht. Er aber sprach zu mir: Merke auf, du Menschenkind; denn dies Gesicht gehört in die Zeit des Endes.
18 And when spoke he with me I was dazed on face my [the] ground towards and he touched me and he made stand me on standing place my.
Und da er mit mir redete, sank ich in eine Ohnmacht zur Erde auf mein Angesicht. Er aber rührete mich an und richtete mich auf, daß ich stund.
19 And he said here I [am] making known to you [that] which it will be at [the] end of the indignation for [it is] for [the] appointed time of [the] end.
Und er sprach: Siehe, ich will dir zeigen, wie es gehen wird zur Zeit des letzten Zorns; denn das Ende hat seine bestimmte Zeit.
20 The ram which you saw [the] possessor of the two horns [is] [the] kings of Media and Persia.
Der Widder mit den zweien Hörnern, den du gesehen hast, sind die Könige in Medien und Persien.
21 And the he-goat hairy [is] [the] king of Greece and the horn great which [is] between eyes its it [is] the king first.
Der Ziegenbock aber ist der König in Griechenland. Das große Horn zwischen seinen Augen ist der erste König.
22 And the broken [horn] and they arose four [horns] in place its four kingdoms from a nation they will arise and not with power its.
Daß aber vier an seiner Statt stunden, da es zerbrochen war, bedeutet, daß vier Königreiche aus dem Volk entstehen werden, aber nicht so mächtig, als er war.
23 And at [the] end of reign their when are completed the rebels he will arise a king strong of face and understanding of intrigue.
Nach diesen Königreichen, wenn die Übertreter überhandnehmen, wird aufkommen ein frecher und tückischer König.
24 And it will be mighty power his and not by own power his and wonders he will destroy and he will succeed and he will act and he will destroy mighty [ones] and a people of holy [ones].
Der wird mächtig sein, doch nicht durch seine Kraft. Er wird's wunderlich verwüsten; und wird ihm gelingen, daß er's ausrichte. Er wird die Starken samt dem heiligen Volk verstören.
25 And on insight his and he will make successful deceit by hand his and in heart his he will magnify himself and in prosperity he will destroy many [people] and on a prince of princes he will stand and by not a hand he will be broken.
Und durch seine Klugheit wird ihm der Betrug geraten. Und wird sich in seinem Herzen erheben und durch Wohlfahrt wird er viele verderben und wird sich auflehnen wider den Fürsten aller Fürsten. Aber er wird ohne Hand zerbrochen werden.
26 And [the] vision of the evening and the morning which it has been told [is] truth it and you keep secret the vision for [it is] for days many.
Dies Gesicht vom Abend und Morgen, das dir gesagt ist, das ist wahr; aber du sollst das Gesicht heimlich halten, denn es ist noch eine lange Zeit dahin.
27 And I Daniel I was done [in] and I was sick days and I arose and I did [the] work of the king and I was appalled on the vision and there not [was one] giving understanding.
Und ich, Daniel, ward schwach und lag etliche Tage krank. Danach stand ich auf und richtete aus des Königs Geschäfte. Und verwunderte mich des Gesichts; und niemand war, der mir's berichtete.
