< Daniel 7 >

1 In year one of Belshazzar [the] king of Babylon Daniel a dream he saw and [the] visions of head his on bed his then dream the he wrote [the] head of matters he said.
In the first year of Belshazzar, king of Babylon, Daniel, beheld, a dream, and visions of his head upon his bed, —then, the dream, he wrote, the sum of the matters, he told.
2 [was] replying Daniel and [was] saying seeing I was in vision my with night the and lo! [the] four [the] winds of heavens the [were] stirring up sea the great.
Daniel spake and said, I was looking, in my vision [which came] with the night, —when, lo! the four winds of the heavens, bursting forth upon the great sea;
3 And four beasts great [were] coming up from sea the [they were] different this [one] from this [one].
and four large wild beasts, coming up out of the sea, —diverse, one from another: —
4 First the [was] like a lion and wings of an eagle [were] to it seeing I was until that they were plucked off wings its and it was lifted away from earth the and on two feet like a human it was made to stand and a heart of a human it was given to it.
The foremost, like a lion, having, the wings of an eagle, —I looked until the wings thereof, were torn out, and it was lifted up from the earth, and, upon its feet, like a man, was it caused to stand, and, the heart of a man, was given to it.
5 And lo! a beast another a second [was] like a bear and to a side one it was raised and three ribs [were] in mouth its between (tooth its *Q(K)*) and as follows [they were] saying to it arise devour! flesh much.
And, lo! another wild beast, a second, resembling a bear, and, on one side, was it raised up, with three ribs in its mouth, between its teeth, —and, thus, were they saying to it, Rise! devour much flesh.
6 After this seeing I was and lo! another like a leopard and to it wings four of a bird [were] on (back its *Q(K)*) and four heads [were] to beast the and dominion it was given to it.
After that, I was looking, and lo! another like a leopard, and it, had four wings of a bird upon its back, —and four heads, had the wild beast, and dominion, was given to it,
7 After this seeing I was in [the] visions of night the and lo! a beast (fourth *Q(k)*) [was] fearful and terrible and strong exceedingly and teeth of iron [were] to it great [it was] devouring and [it was] shattering and rest the (with foot its *Q(K)*) [it was] trampling and it [was] different from all beasts the which [was] before it and horns ten [were] to it.
After that, I was looking in the visions of the night, when lo! a fourth wild beast, terrible and well-hipped and exceeding strong, and it had, large teeth of iron, it devoured and brake in pieces, and, the residue—with its feet, it trampled down, —and, it, was diverse from all the wild beasts that were before it, and it had, ten horns.
8 Considering I was horns the and lo! a horn another small it came up (between them *Q(K)*) and three of horns the former (they were uprooted *Q(K)*) from (before it *Q(k)*) and lo! eyes like [the] eyes of humankind [were] on horn the this and a mouth [was] speaking great [things].
I was considering the horns, when lo! another horn, a little one, came up among them, and, three of the former horns, were uprooted from before it, —and lo! eyes, like the eyes of a man, in this horn, and, a mouth, speaking great things.
9 Seeing I was until that thrones they were placed and [one] ancient of days he sat clothing his - like snow [was] white and [the] hair of head his like wool [was] pure throne his [was] flames of fire wheels its [were] fire burning.
I continued looking, until that, thrones, were placed, and, the Ancient of days, took his seat, —whose, garment, like snow, was white, and, the hair of his head, like pure wool, his throne, was flames of fire, his wheels, a burning fire.
10 A river of fire [was] flowing and [was] coming out from before him a thousand of (thousands *Q(k)*) they were ministering to him and a myriad of (myriads *Q(k)*) before him they were standing court the it sat and books they were opened.
A stream of fire, was flowing on and issuing forth from before him, a thousand thousand, waited upon him and, ten thousand times ten thousand, before him, stood up, —Judgment, took its seat, and, books, were opened.
11 Seeing I was then from [the] sound of words the great which horn the [was] speaking seeing I was until that it was killed beast the and it was destroyed body its and it was given to [the] burning of fire.
I continued looking, then because of the sound of the great words which the horn was speaking, I continued looking, until that the wild beast, was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning of the fire.
12 And [the] rest of beasts the they removed dominion their and a prolonging in life it was given to them until a time and a time.
As concerning the rest of the beasts, their dominion, was taken away, —but, a lengthening of life, was given to them, until time and season.
13 Seeing I was in [the] visions of night the and lo! with [the] clouds of heavens the like a son of man coming he was and to [the] [one] ancient of days he reached and before him they brought near him.
I continued looking in the visions of the night, when lo! with the clouds of the heavens, one like a son of man, was coming, —and, unto the Ancient of days, he approached, and, before him, they brought him near;
14 And to him it was given dominion and honor and a kingdom and all peoples the nations the and languages the to him they will pay reverence dominion his [was] a dominion of perpetuity which not it will pass away and kingdom his which not it will be destroyed.
and, unto him, were given dominion and dignity and kingship, that all peoples, races and tongues, unto him, should do service, —his dominion, was an age-abiding dominion, which should not pass away, and, his kingdom, that which should not be destroyed.
15 It was distressed spirit my I Daniel in [the] midst of [the] sheath and [the] visions of head my they alarmed me.
The spirit of, me, Daniel, was grieved in the midst of the sheath, —and, the visions of my head, terrified me.
16 I approached to one of [ones] standing the and truth the I was asking from him concerning all this and he said to me and [the] interpretation of matters the he made known to me.
I drew near unto one of them who stood by, and made exact enquiry of him, concerning all this, —so he told me, and, the interpretation of the things, made he known unto me.
17 These beasts the great which they [are] four four kings they will arise from earth the.
These great wild beasts, which are four, —are four kings who shall arise out of the earth;
18 So they may receive kingdom the [the] holy [ones] of [the] Most High so they may take possession of kingdom the until perpetuity and until perpetuity of perpetuities.
but the holy ones of the Highest, shall receive the kingdom, —and shall possess the kingdom for the age, yea for the age of ages.
19 Then I desired to make certain concerning beast the fourth which it was different from (all of them *Q(K)*) [it was] terrible exceedingly (tooth its *Q(K)*) of iron and claws its of bronze [it was] devouring [it was] shattering and rest the with feet its [it was] trampling.
Then desired I to be sure, concerning the fourth wild beast, which was diverse from all of them, —exceeding terrible, whose, teeth, were iron, and, his claws, of bronze, he devoured, brake in pieces, and, the residue—with his feet, he trampled down;
20 And concerning horns the ten which [were] on head its and another [horn] which it came up (and they fell *Q(K)*) from (before it *Q(k)*) three [horns] and horn the this and eyes [were] to it and a mouth [was] speaking great [things] and appearance its [was] great more than companion its.
also concerning the ten horns, which were in his head, and the other, which came up, and there fell—from among them that were before it—three, —and this horn which had, eyes, and, a mouth, speaking great things, and, his look, was more proud than his fellows:
21 Seeing I was and horn the this [was] making war with [the] holy [ones] and [it was] prevailing to them.
I continued looking, when, this horn, made war with the holy ones, —and prevailed against them:
22 Until that he came [the] [one] ancient of days and judgment it was given for [the] holy [ones] of [the] Most High and appointed time the it arrived and kingdom the they took possession of [the] holy [ones].
until that the Ancient of Days, came, and, justice, was granted to the holy ones of the Highest, —and, the time, arrived, that the holy ones should possess, the kingdom.
23 As follows he said beast the fourth a kingdom (fourth the *Q(k)*) it will be on earth the which it will be different from all kingdoms the so it may devour all earth the and it will tread down it and it will shatter it.
Thus, he said, The fourth wild beast, is a fourth kingdom which shall be in the earth, which shall be diverse from all the kingdoms, —and shall devour all the earth, and shall trample it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And horns the ten from it kingdom the ten kings they will arise and another he will arise after them and he he will be different from former [kings] the and three kings he will bring low.
And, the ten horns of that kingdom, are ten kings who will arise, —and, another, will arise after them, and, he, will be diverse from the former ones, and, three kings, will he cast down;
25 And words to [the] side of (Most High the *Q(k)*) he will speak and [the] holy [ones] of [the] Most High he will wear out so he may think to change appointed times and law so they may be given in hand his until a time and times and half of a time.
and, words against the Most High, will he speak, and, the holy ones of the Highest, will he afflict, —and will hope to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand, for a season and seasons and the dividing of a season,
26 And court the it will sit and dominion his they will remove to annihilate and to destroy until end the.
but, Judgment, will take its seat, —and, his dominion, will they take away, to destroy and make disappear unto an end.
27 And kingdom the and dominion the and greatness the of kingdoms under all heavens the it was given to a people [the] holy [ones] of [the] Most High kingdom his [will be] a kingdom of perpetuity and all empires the to him they will pay reverence so they may obey.
And, the kingdom, and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under all the heavens, shall be given to the people of the holy ones of the Highest, —his kingdom, is an age-abiding kingdom, and, all the dominions, unto him, will render service, and show themselves obedient.
28 To here end the of matter the I Daniel exceedingly - thoughts my they alarmed me and brightness my they were changed on me and matter the in heart my I have kept.
Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, greatly did my thoughts terrify me, and, my bright looks, were changed upon me, but, the matter—in mine own heart, I kept.
