Daniel 6
1 It seemed good before Darius and he appointed over kingdom the satraps the one hundred and twenty who they will be over all kingdom the.
Darius aber fand es für gut, hundertzwanzig Satrapen über das Reich zu setzen und sie im ganzen Reiche zu verteilen.
2 And above more than them overseers three whom Daniel [was] one of them whom they will be satraps the these giving to them report the and king the not he will be suffering injury.
Über diese aber setzte er drei Fürsten, von welchen Daniel einer war; diesen sollten jene Satrapen Rechenschaft ablegen, damit der König keinen Schaden erleide.
3 Then Daniel this he was distinguishing himself over overseers the and satraps the as to because that a spirit extraordinary [was] in him and king the [was] planning to appoint him over all kingdom the.
Da sich nun dieser Daniel vor allen Fürsten und Satrapen auszeichnete, weil ein so vortrefflicher Geist in ihm war, so nahm sich der König vor, ihn über das ganze Reich zu setzen.
4 Then overseers the and satraps the they were seeking an occasion to find to Daniel from [the] side of kingdom the and any occasion and corruption not [they were] able to find as to because that [was] trustworthy he and any negligence and corruption not it was found concerning him.
Da suchten alsbald die Fürsten und Satrapen eine Anklage gegen Daniel zu finden auf Grund seiner Regierung; aber sie konnten keine Schuld noch irgend etwas Nachteiliges finden, weil er ganz treu und keine Vernachlässigung noch irgend ein Vergehen bei ihm zu finden war.
5 Then men the these [were] saying that not we will find to Daniel this any occasion except we have found concerning him in [the] law of God his.
Da sprachen jene Männer: Wir werden gegen diesen Daniel keinen Anklagegrund finden, es sei denn in seinem Gottesdienst!
6 Then overseers the and satraps the these they came as a crowd to king the and as follows [they were] saying to him O Darius king the for ever live!
Darauf bestürmten jene Fürsten und Satrapen den König und sprachen: König Darius, lebe ewiglich!
7 They took counsel together all - [the] overseers of kingdom the prefects the and satraps the counselors the and governors the to establish [the] statute of king the and to make stringent a prohibition that every [one] who he will ask a petition from any god and person until days thirty except from you king O he will be thrown to [the] den of lions the.
Sämtliche Fürsten des Königreichs, die Landpfleger und Satrapen, die Räte und Statthalter erachten es für ratsam, daß eine Verordnung aufgestellt und ein Verbot erlassen werde, wonach jeder, der innert dreißig Tagen irgend eine Bitte an irgend einen Gott oder Menschen richtet, außer an dich allein, o König, in den Löwenzwinger geworfen werden soll.
8 Now king O you will establish prohibition the so you may sign writing the which not to change according to [the] law of [the] Medes and [the] Persians which not it will pass away.
Nun, o König, erlaß das Gebot und unterschreibe das Edikt, damit es unabänderlich sei wie das Gesetz der Meder und Perser, welches unwiderruflich ist.
9 As to because this king the Darius he signed writing the and prohibition the.
Daraufhin unterschrieb der König das Edikt und Verbot.
10 And Daniel as that he knew that it was signed writing the he went in to house his and windows [were] opened to it in upper room his facing Jerusalem and times three in day the he - [was] kneeling on knees his and [was] praying and [was] praising before God his as to because that he was doing from [the] former time of this.
Als nun Daniel erfuhr, daß das Edikt unterschrieben sei, ging er hinauf in sein Haus (er hatte aber in seinem Obergemach offene Fenster gen Jerusalem); und er fiel des Tages dreimal auf die Knie nieder, betete und dankte vor seinem Gott, ganz wie er vordem zu tun pflegte.
11 Then men the these they came as a crowd and they found Daniel asking and imploring favor before God his.
Da stürmten jene Männer herein und fanden Daniel bittend und flehend vor seinem Gott.
12 Then they approached and [were] saying before king the concerning [the] prohibition of king the ¿ not a prohibition did you sign that every person who he will ask from any god and person until days thirty except from you king O he will be thrown to [the] den of lions the [was] replying king the and saying [is] certain word the according to [the] law of [the] Medes and [the] Persians which not it will pass away.
Alsbald erschienen sie vor dem König und brachten das königliche Verbot zur Sprache: Hast du nicht ein Verbot unterschrieben, wonach jeder, der innert dreißig Tagen von irgend einem Gott oder Menschen etwas erbitte, außer von dir allein, o König, in den Löwenzwinger geworfen werden soll? Der König antwortete und sprach: Die Sache steht fest nach dem Gesetz der Meder und Perser, welches unwiderruflich ist!
13 Then they replied and [were] saying before king the that Daniel who [is] one of [the] sons of exile the of Judah not he has set (to you *Q(k)*) king O discretion and to prohibition the which you signed and times three in day the [he is] asking petition his.
Da antworteten sie und sprachen: Daniel, einer der gefangenen Juden, nimmt keine Rücksicht auf dich und achtet nicht auf das Verbot, das du unterzeichnet hast, sondern er verrichtet dreimal des Tages sein Gebet!
14 Then king the as that word the he heard exceedingly it was displeasing to him and concerning Daniel he set mind to deliver him and until [the] goings in of sun the he was striving to rescue him.
Als der König solches vernahm, wurde er sehr betrübt, und er sann darüber nach, wie er den Daniel retten könnte, und gab sich Mühe bis zum Sonnenuntergang, ihn zu befreien.
15 Then men the these they came as a crowd to king the and [were] saying to king the know king O that [the] law of [the] Medes and [the] Persians that any prohibition and statute which king the he will establish not to change.
Da bestürmten jene Männer den König und sprachen: Wisse, o König, daß nach dem Gesetz der Meder und Perser jedes Verbot und Gebot, das der König bestätigt hat, unwiderruflich ist!
16 Then king the he said and they brought Daniel and they threw [him] to den the of lions the [was] replying king the and [was] saying to Daniel God your whom (you *Q(k)*) [are] paying reverence to him in continuance he may he deliver you.
Da befahl der König, daß man Daniel herbringe und in den Löwenzwinger werfe. Der König hob an und sprach zu Daniel: Dein Gott, dem du ohne Unterlaß dienst, der rette dich!
17 And it was brought a stone one and it was set over [the] mouth of den the and he sealed it king the with signet-ring his and with [the] signet-rings of nobles his that not it will change anything with Daniel.
Und man brachte einen Stein und legte ihn auf die Öffnung des Zwingers, und der König versah ihn mit seinem Siegel und mit dem Siegel seiner Gewaltigen, damit in der Sache Daniels nichts geändert werde.
18 Then he went king the to palace his and he passed [the] night fasting and thrusting [women] not he brought in before him and sleep his it fled on him.
Dann zog sich der König in seinen Palast zurück, verbrachte die Nacht fastend, ließ keine Frauen zu sich führen, und der Schlaf floh ihn.
19 Then king the at dawn he arose at daylight the and in haste to den the of lions the he went.
Beim Anbruch der Morgenröte aber stand der König auf und begab sich eilends zum Löwenzwinger.
20 And just as approached he to den the to Daniel with a voice pained he cried out [was] replying king the and [was] saying to Daniel O Daniel [the] servant of God the living God your whom (you *Q(k)*) [are] paying reverence to him in continuance ¿ was he able to deliver you from lions the.
Und als er sich dem Zwinger näherte, rief er Daniel mit kläglicher Stimme. Der König hob an und sprach zu Daniel: Daniel, du Knecht des lebendigen Gottes, hat dich dein Gott, dem du ohne Unterlaß dienst, auch von den Löwen zu retten vermocht?
21 Then Daniel with king the he spoke king O for ever live!
Da redete Daniel mit dem König und sprach: O König, lebe ewiglich!
22 God my he sent angel his and he closed [the] mouth of lions the and not they harmed me as to because that before him innocence it was found to me and also (before you *Q(k)*) king O a hurtful act not I have done.
Mein Gott hat seinen Engel gesandt und der Löwen Rachen verschlossen, daß sie mir kein Leid zufügten, weil vor ihm meine Unschuld offenbar war und ich auch vor dir nichts Böses verübt habe!
23 Then king the exceedingly it was good to him and Daniel he said to take up from den the and he was taken up Daniel from den the and any hurt not it was found on him that he had trusted in God his.
Da ward der König sehr froh und befahl, Daniel aus dem Zwinger heraufzuziehen. Als man aber Daniel aus dem Zwinger heraufgebracht hatte, fand sich kein Schaden an ihm; denn er hatte seinem Gott vertraut.
24 And he said king the and they brought men the these who they had eaten pieces his of Daniel and to [the] den of lions the they threw they sons their and wives their and not they reached to [the] bottom of den the until that they assaulted them lions the and all bones their they shattered.
Da ließ der König jene Männer herbeiholen, welche Daniel verklagt hatten. Die wurden samt ihren Söhnen und Weibern in den Löwenzwinger geworfen; und ehe sie noch den Boden des Zwingers berührten, bemächtigten sich ihrer die Löwen und zermalmten ihnen alle Gebeine.
25 Then Darius king the he wrote to all peoples the nations the and languages the which ([were] dwelling *Q(k)*) in all earth the peace your may it increase.
Darauf schrieb der König Darius an alle Völker, Stämme und Zungen, welche im ganzen Lande wohnten: «Euer Friede nehme zu!
26 From before me it is made a decree that - in all [the] dominion of kingdom my they will be (trembling *Q(k)*) and fearing from before God his of Daniel that he - [is] God the living and enduring for ever and kingdom his which not it will be destroyed and dominion his [is] to end the.
Es ist von mir ein Befehl erlassen worden, daß man im ganzen Bereich meiner Herrschaft sich vor dem Gott Daniels fürchten und scheuen soll; denn er ist der lebendige Gott, welcher ewig bleibt; und sein Königreich ist unvergänglich, und seine Herrschaft hat kein Ende.

Er errettet und befreit, er tut Zeichen und Wunder am Himmel und auf Erden; er hat Daniel aus der Gewalt der Löwen errettet!»
28 And Daniel this he prospered in [the] reign of Darius and in [the] reign of Cyrus (Persian the. *Q(k)*)
Und diesem Daniel ging es fortan gut unter der Regierung des Darius und unter derjenigen Kores`, des Persers.
