Daniel 10
1 In year three of Cyrus [the] king of Persia a word it was revealed to Daniel whom it had been called name his Belteshazzar and [was] truth the word and a war great and he understood the word and understanding [belonged] to him by the vision.
Dans la troisième année de Cyrus, roi de Perse, une révélation fut faite à Daniel, qui avait reçu le surnom de Beltchaçar; véridique était cette révélation et à longue portée. Il s’appliqua à s’en rendre compte et eut la claire intelligence de la vision:
2 In the days those I Daniel I was mourning three sevens days.
"En ces temps-là, moi Daniel, je fus plongé dans le deuil durant trois semaines complètes.
3 Food of desirableness not I ate and meat and wine not it came into mouth my and indeed not I anointed myself until were completed three sevens days.
Je ne mangeai point d’aliment de choix, ni viande ni pain n’entrèrent dans ma bouche, et je ne me frottai d’aucune huile jusqu’à ce que fussent révolues trois semaines complètes.
4 And on day twenty and four of the month first and I I was on [the] side of the river great that [is] [the] Tigris.
Le vingt-quatrième jour du premier mois, je me trouvais au bord du grand fleuve, le Tigre.
5 And I lifted up eyes my and I saw and there! a man one clothed linen and loins his [were] girded with [the] gold of Uphaz.
Je levai les yeux et regardai, et je vis soudain un personnage, vêtu de lin et ayant autour des reins une ceinture d’or pur.
6 And body his [was] like topaz and face his [was] like [the] appearance of lightning and eyes his [were] like torches of fire and arms his and feet his [were] like [the] appearance of bronze burnished and [the] sound of words his [was] like [the] sound of a multitude.
Son corps était pareil au Tarchich, sa face brillait comme l’éclair et ses yeux comme des torches enflammées; ses bras et ses pieds avaient l’aspect de l’airain poli, et le son de ses paroles éclatait comme, le bruit d’une multitude.
7 And I saw I Daniel to alone me the vision and the men who they were with me not they saw the vision but terror great it fell on them and they fled in hiding themselves.
Moi Daniel, je fus seul à voir l’apparition; les hommes qui étaient avec moi ne la voyaient point; mais, une grande frayeur s’étant emparée d’eux, ils s’enfuirent pour se cacher.
8 And I I was left behind to alone me and I saw the vision great this and not it remained in me strength and vigor my it was changed on me into destruction and not I retained strength.
Je demeurai donc seul, et, à la vue de cette grande apparition, mes forces m’abandonnèrent, mon visage s’altéra jusqu’à en devenir livide, et je tombai dans un état de faiblesse.
9 And I heard [the] sound of words his and just as heard I [the] sound of words his and I I was dazed on face my and face my [was] ground towards.
J’Entendis le son de ses paroles, et dès que j’entendis le son de ses paroles je tombai, tout étourdi la face contre terre.
10 And there! a hand it touched me and it shook me on knees my and [the] palms of hands my.
Mais voilà qu’une main m’effleura et me releva chancelant sur mes genoux et la paume de mes mains.
11 And he said to me O Daniel man of preciousness understand the words which I [am] about to speak to you and stand on standing place your for now I have been sent to you and when spoke he with me the word this I stood up trembling.
Il me dit: "Daniel, homme de prédilection, saisis bien le sens des paroles que je t’adresse et remets-toi d’aplomb, car présentement j’ai été dépêché vers toi." Tandis qu’il me tenait ce discours, je me relevai en tremblant.
12 And he said to me may not you fear O Daniel for - from the day first which you gave heart your to understand and to humble yourself before God your they were heard words your and I I have come on words your.
Il ajouta encore: "N’Aie pas peur, Daniel, car dès le premier jour où tu as pris à cœur de te rendre compte et de te mortifier devant ton Dieu, tes paroles ont été entendues, et c’est attiré par tes paroles que je suis venu à toi.
13 And [the] prince of - [the] kingdom of Persia [was] standing to before me twenty and one day[s] and there! Michael one of the princes chief he came to help me and I I remained behind there beside [the] kings of Persia.
Or, le prince de l’empire de Perse m’a tenu tête durant vingt-et-un jours; mais enfin Mikhaël, l’un des princes supérieurs, est venu me prêter main-forte; de la sorte je me suis trouvé retenu auprès des rois de Perse.
14 And I have come to make understand you [that] which it will happen to people your at [the] end of the days for still [the] vision [is] for the days.
Et maintenant j’arrive pour t’exposer clairement ce qui adviendra à ton peuple à la fin des jours, car cette vision aussi se rapporte à des temps éloignés.
15 And when spoke he with me according to the words these I put face my [the] ground towards and I was dumb.
Tandis qu’il s’adressait à moi en ces termes, j’abaissais mes regards vers la terre et demeurais muet.
16 And there! like [the] likeness of [the] sons of humankind [was] touching lips my and I opened mouth my and I spoke! and I said! to the [one] standing to before me O lord my on the vision they have turned pangs my on me and not I have retained strength.
Mais alors un personnage qui avait une forme humaine toucha mes lèvres; j’ouvris la bouche pour parler et je dis à celui qui se tenait en face de moi: "Mon Seigneur, par suite de l’apparition, de poignantes angoisses m’ont saisi, et mes forces m’ont abandonné;
17 And how? is he able [the] servant of lord my this to speak with lord my this and I from now not it remains in me strength and breath not it is left in me.
et comment le serviteur de mon Seigneur pourrait-il parler à mon Seigneur, alors que nulle force ne subsiste en moi et qu’il ne me reste plus de souffle?"
18 And he repeated and he touched me like [the] appearance of humankind and he strengthened me.
De nouveau une forme humaine me toucha et me rendit des forces.
19 And he said may not you fear O man of preciousness peace [be] to you be strong and be strong (and when spoke he *L(abh)*) with me I strengthened myself and I said let him speak lord my for you have strengthened me.
II me dit: "N’Aie pas peur, homme de prédilection! Que la paix soit avec toi! Prends courage et sois fort!" Comme II me parlait, je repris courage et je dis: "Que mon seigneur parle, car tu m’as réconforté!"
20 And he said ¿ do you know why? have I come to you and now I will return to engage in battle with [the] prince of Persia and I [am] about to go forth and there! [the] prince of Greece he will come.
II me répliqua: "Sais-tu pourquoi je suis venu à toi? A présent, il faut que je m’en retourne lutter contre le prince de Perse, et quand j’en aurai fini avec lui, ce sera au tour du prince de la Grèce de venir.
21 But I will tell to you the [thing] inscribed in writing of truth and there not [is] one [who] shows himself strong with me on these that except Michael prince your.
Mais j’ai à te révéler d’abord ce qui est consigné dans un écrit véridique: personne ne me soutient dans ma lutte contre ceux-ci, sauf Mikhaël, votre prince à vous."
