Colossians 1
1 Paul an apostle of Christ Jesus through [the] will of God and Timothy the brother
Paulus, Kristi Jesu Apostel ved Guds Villie, og Broderen Timotheus
2 To those in Colossae saints and faithful brothers in Christ: Grace to you and peace from God [the] Father of us (and Lord Jesus Christ. *K*)
til de hellige og troende Brødre i Kristus i Kolossæ: Naade være med eder og Fred fra Gud vor Fader!
3 We give thanks to the God (and *ko*) Father of the Lord of us Jesus Christ continually (for *NK(o)*) you praying,
Vi takke Gud og vor Herres Jesu Kristi Fader altid, naar vi bede for eder,
4 having heard of the faith of you in Christ Jesus and the love (that *N(k)O*) (you have *no*) toward all the saints,
da vi have hørt om eders Tro paa Kristus Jesus og den Kærlighed, som I have til alle de hellige
5 because of the hope which is being laid up for you in the heavens which you heard of before in the word of truth the gospel
paa Grund af det Haab, som er henlagt til eder i Himlene, om hvilket I forud have hørt i Evangeliets Sandheds Ord,
6 which is being present unto you, even as also in all the world (and *k*) it is bearing fruit (and increasing *NO*) even as also among you from the day you heard and you knew the grace of God in truth,
der er kommet til eder, ligesom det ogsaa er i den hele Verden, idet det bærer Frugt og vokser, ligesom det ogsaa gør iblandt eder fra den Dag, I hørte og erkendte Guds Naade i Sandhed,
7 even as (and *k*) you learned from Epaphras the beloved fellow bond-servant of us, who is faithful on behalf of (of you *NK(O)*) a servant of Christ,
saaledes som I have lært af Epafras, vor elskede Medtjener, som er en tro Kristi Tjener for eder,
8 the [one] also having made known to us your love in [the] Spirit.
han, som ogsaa gav os eders Kærlighed i Aanden til Kende.
9 Because of this also we ourselves from the day we heard, not cease for you praying and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of the will of Him in all wisdom and in understanding spiritual
Derfor have ogsaa vi fra den Dag, vi hørte det, ikke ophørt at bede for eder og begære, at I maatte fyldes med Erkendelsen af hans Villie i al Visdom og aandelig Indsigt
10 to walk (you *k*) worthily of the Lord in all pleasing in every work good bringing forth fruit and growing (into *k*) (knowledge *N(k)O*) of God,
til at vandre Herren værdigt, til alt Velbehag, idet I bære Frugt og vokse i al god Gerning ved Erkendelsen af Gud,
11 with all power being strengthened according to the might glorious of Him unto all endurance and patience with joy.
idet I styrkes med al Styrke efter hans Herligheds Kraft til al Udholdenhed og Taalmodighed med Glæde
12 giving thanks to the Father the [One] having qualified (you *N(K)O*) for the share of the inheritance of the saints in the light,
og takke Faderen, som gjorde os dygtige til at have Del i de helliges Arvelod i Lyset,
13 who has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred [us] into the kingdom of the Son the beloved of Him,

15 [He] is [the] image of the God invisible, [the] firstborn over all creation;

16 because in Him were created all things (which [are] *k*) in the heavens and (*ko*) upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things through Him and unto Him have been created,
thi i ham bleve alle Ting skabte i Himlene og paa Jorden, de synlige og de usynlige, være sig Troner eller Herredømmer eller Magter eller Myndigheder. Alle Ting ere skabte ved ham og til ham;
17 And He himself is before all things, and all things in Him have held together,
og han er forud for alle Ting, og alle Ting bestaa ved ham.
18 And He himself is the head of the body the church; who is (the *o*) beginning, firstborn out from the dead, so that may be in all things He himself holding preeminence;
Og han er Legemets Hoved, nemlig Menighedens, han, som er Begyndelsen, førstefødt ud af de døde, for at han skulde blive den ypperste i alle Ting;
19 because in Him was pleased all the fullness to dwell
thi det behagede Gud, at i ham skulde hele Fylden bo,
20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of the cross of Him, through Him whether the [things] on the earth or the [things] (in *NK(o)*) the heavens;
og ved ham at forlige alle Ting med sig, være sig dem paa Jorden eller dem i Himlene, idet han stiftede Fred ved hans Kors's Blod.
21 And you once being alienated and hostile in mind in the deeds evil, now however (He has reconciled [You] *NK(O)*)
Ogsaa eder, som fordum vare fremmedgjorte og fjendske af Sindelag i eders onde Gerninger,
22 in the body of the flesh of Him through death to present you holy and unblemished and blameless before Him.
har han dog nu forligt i sit Køds Legeme ved Døden for at fremstille eder hellige og ulastelige og ustraffelige for sit Aasyn,
23 if indeed you continue in the faith established and firm and not being moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which having been proclaimed in all (*k*) creation under heaven, of which have become I myself Paul a minister.
saa sandt I blive i Troen, grundfæstede og faste, uden at lade eder rokke fra Haabet i det Evangelium, som I have hørt, hvilket er blevet prædiket i al Skabningen under Himmelen, og hvis Tjener jeg Paulus er bleven.
24 Now I rejoice in the sufferings (of mine *k*) for you and I am filling up that which is lacking of the tribulations of Christ in the flesh of mine for the body of Him which is the church;
Nu glæder jeg mig over mine Lidelser for eder, og hvad der fattes i Kristi Trængsler, udfylder jeg i mit Kød for hans Legeme, som er Menigheden,
25 of which became I myself a minister according to the administration of God which having been given me toward you to complete the word of God,

26 the mystery which hidden from the ages and from the generations, (now *N(k)O*) however having been manifested to the saints of Him; (aiōn g165)

27 to whom has willed God to make known (what the *N(k)O*) riches of the glory of the mystery this among the Gentiles, (which *N(k)O*) is Christ in you, the hope of glory;
hvem Gud vilde tilkendegive, hvilken Rigdom paa Herlighed iblandt Hedningerne der ligger i denne Hemmelighed, som er Kristus i eder, Herlighedens Haab,
28 whom we ourselves preach admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ (Jesus *K*)
hvem vi forkynde, idet vi paaminde hvert Menneske og lære hvert Menneske med al Visdom, for at vi kunne fremstille hvert Menneske som fuldkomment i Kristus;
29 Unto this also I toil striving according to the energy of Him who is working in me myself in power.
hvorpaa jeg ogsaa arbejder, idet jeg kæmper ifølge hans Kraft, som virker mægtigt i mig.
