Amos 1
1 [the] words of Amos who he was among the sheep-tenders from Tekoa which he saw on Israel in [the] days of - (Uzziah *L(abh)*) [the] king of Judah and in [the] days of Jeroboam [the] son of Joash [the] king of Israel two years before the earthquake.
Paroles d’Amos, un des éleveurs de troupeaux à Tekoa, qui prophétisa sur Israël durant le règne d’Ouzia, roi de Juda, et de Jéroboam, roi d’Israël, deux ans avant le tremblement de terre.
2 And he said - Yahweh (from Zion *L(abh)*) he will roar and from Jerusalem he will give forth voice his and they will dry up [the] pastures of the shepherds and it will wither [the] top of Carmel.
Il dit: "L’Eternel rugit de Sion, de Jérusalem il fait entendre sa voix: les pacages des bergers en sont assombris, le sommet du Carmel en est desséché."
3 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Damascus and on four not I will revoke it because threshed they with [the] threshing sledges of iron Gilead.
Ainsi parle l’Eternel: "A cause du triple, du quadruple crime de Damas, je ne le révoquerai pas, mon arrêt: parce qu’ils ont foulé le pays de Galaad avec des herses de fer.
4 And I will send forth a fire on [the] house of Hazael and it will consume [the] fortresses of Ben Hadad.
Aussi déchaînerai-je le feu contre la maison de Hazaël, pour qu’il dévore les palais de Ben-Hadad.
5 And I will break [the] bar of Damascus and I will cut off inhabitant[s] from [the] Valley of Aven and a holder of a scepter from Beth Eden and they will go into exile [the] people of Aram Kir towards he says Yahweh.
Je briserai les verrous de Damas, j’exterminerai les habitants du Val de Perversité et le porte-sceptre de la maison de Délices. Le peuple d’Aram ira en exil à Kir, dit l’Eternel."
6 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Gaza and on four not I will revoke it because carried away into exile they exile complete to deliver up [them] to Edom.
Ainsi parle l’Eternel: "A cause du triple, du quadruple crime de Gaza, je ne le révoquerai pas, mon arrêt: parce qu’ils ont déporté des exilés en masse pour les livrer à Edom.
7 And I will send forth a fire on [the] wall of Gaza and it will consume fortresses its.
Aussi déchaînerai-je le feu contre les murs de Gaza, pour qu’il en dévore les palais.
8 And I will cut off inhabitant[s] from Ashdod and a holder of a scepter from Ashkelon and I will turn hand my on Ekron and they will perish [the] remnant of [the] Philistines he says [the] Lord Yahweh.
J’Exterminerai les habitants d’Asdod et le porte-sceptre d’Ascalon; je dirigerai ma main contre Ekron, pour que périsse le reste des Philistins, dit le Seigneur Dieu."
9 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Tyre and on four not I will revoke it because delivered up they exile complete to Edom and not they remembered [the] covenant of brothers.
Ainsi parle l’Eternel: "A cause du triple, du quadruple crime de Tyr, je ne le révoquerai pas, mon arrêt: parce qu’ils ont livré des captifs en masse à Edom, sans se souvenir de la fraternelle alliance.
10 And I will send forth a fire on [the] wall of Tyre and it will consume fortresses its.
Aussi déchaînerai-je le feu contre les murs de Tyr, pour qu’il en dévore les palais."
11 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Edom and on four not I will revoke it because pursued he with the sword brother his and he spoiled compassion his and it tore for ever anger his and fury his he kept it perpetuity.
Ainsi parle l’Eternel: "A cause du triple, du quadruple crime d’Edom, je ne le révoquerai pas, mon arrêt: parce qu’il a poursuivi son frère avec l’épée, étouffant toute pitié; parce que sa colère ne cesse de faire des victimes, et qu’il se complaît dans une haine sans fin.
12 And I will send forth a fire on Teman and it will consume [the] fortresses of Bozrah.
Aussi déchaînerai-je le feu contre Têmân, pour qu’il dévore les palais de Boçra."
13 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of [the] people of Ammon and on four not I will revoke it because ripped open they [the] pregnant [women] of Gilead so as to enlarge territory their.
Ainsi parle l’Eternel: "A cause du triple, du quadruple crime des fils d’Ammon, je ne le révoquerai pas, mon arrêt: parce qu’ils ont éventré les femmes enceintes de Galaad, en vue d’étendre leur territoire.
14 And I will kindle a fire on [the] wall of Rabbah and it will consume fortresses its with a shout of alarm on [the] day of battle with a storm on [the] day of (a storm-wind *L(abh)*)
Aussi mettrai-je le feu aux murs de Rabba, pour qu’il en dévore les palais, au milieu des cris de guerre, au jour du combat, au milieu de la tempête, au jour de l’ouragan.
15 and he will go king their in exile he and officials his together he says Yahweh.
Malcom ira en exil, lui et ses dignitaires, tous ensemble, dit l’Eternel."
