Amos 8
1 Thus he showed me [the] Lord Yahweh and there! a basket of summer fruit.
Izao no nasehon’ i Jehovah Tompo tamiko; Indro, nisy harona feno voankazo masaka fahavaratra.
2 And he said what? [are] you seeing O Amos and I said a basket of summer fruit and he said Yahweh to me it has come the end to people my Israel not I will repeat again to pass by it.
Ary hoy Izy: Inona no hitanao, ry Amosa? Dia hoy izaho: Harona feno voankazo masaka fahavaratra. Dia hoy Jehovah tamiko: Tonga amin’ ny Isiraely oloko ny farany; Tsy handefitra aminy intsony Aho.
3 And they will wail songs of [the] temple on the day that [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh many the corpse[s] in every place someone will throw hush!
Ho tonga naonaona ny hira ao an-dapa amin’ izany andro izany, hoy Jehovah Tompo; Ho be ny faty, Hatraiza hatraiza no hanariany azy. Mangìna re!
4 Hear this O those [who] trample on [the] needy and to put an end to ([the] afflicted [people] of *Q(K)*) [the] land.
Mihanoa izao, ianareo izay mihanahana te-hitelina ny malahelo sy hahafongana ny mpandefitra amin’ ny tany
5 Saying when? will it pass the new moon so we may sell grain grain and the sabbath so we may open grain to make small an ephah and to make great a shekel and to falsify balances of deceit.

6 To buy for silver poor [people] and [the] needy for sake of a pair of sandals and refuse of grain we will sell grain.

7 He has sworn Yahweh by [the] pride of Jacob if I will forget to perpetuity all deeds their.
Jehovah nianiana tamin’ ny Reharehan’ i Jakoba ka nanao hoe: Tsy hisy hobadinoiko mandrakizay ny asany na dia iray akory aza!
8 ¿ On this not will it tremble the land and he will mourn every [one who] dwells in it and it will rise like the light all of it and it will be tossed (and it will sink *Q(K)*) like [the] River of Egypt.
Tsy hihorohoro noho izany va ny tany, sy hitomany ny mponina rehetra ao aminy? Eny, ny tany rehetra hihatondraka tahaka an’ i Neily sy hihena indray toy ny Neilin’ i Egypta.
9 And it will be - on the day that [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh and I will cause to go the sun at noon and I will make dark the earth in a day of light.

10 And I will turn feasts your into mourning and all songs your into lamentation and I will bring up on all loins sackcloth and on every head baldness and I will make it like [the] mourning of an only [son] and end its [will be] like a day bitter.
Hampodiko ho fitomaniana ny andro firavoravoanareo, ary ho hira fahalahelovana ny hiranareo rehetra, hofeheziko lamba fisaonana ny valahana rehetra, sady hokakasako ny loha rehetra; Ary hataoko ho toy ny fisaonana zanakalahy tokana izany, Ka ny farany dia ho tahaka ny andro mangidy.
11 Here! - days [are] coming [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh and I will send a famine in the land not a famine for bread and not a thirst for water that except for hearing [the] words of Yahweh.
Indro, avy ny andro, hoy Jehovah Tompo, izay hanaterako mosary amin’ ny tany, tsy fanirian-kanina anefa, na hetahetan-drano, fa faniriana handre ny tenin’ i Jehovah;
12 And people will stagger from sea to sea and from [the] north and to [the] east they will rove about to seek [the] word of Yahweh and not they will find [it].

13 In the day that they will become faint the virgins beautiful and the young men by thirst.
Amin’ izany andro izany dia ho jemby noho ny hetaheta ny virijina tsara tarehy sy ny zatovolahy,
14 Those [who] swear by [the] guilt of Samaria and they will say [by] [the] life of gods your O Dan and [by] [the] life of [the] way of Beer Sheba and they will fall and not they will rise again.
