< Amos 8 >

1 Thus he showed me [the] Lord Yahweh and there! a basket of summer fruit.

2 And he said what? [are] you seeing O Amos and I said a basket of summer fruit and he said Yahweh to me it has come the end to people my Israel not I will repeat again to pass by it.

3 And they will wail songs of [the] temple on the day that [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh many the corpse[s] in every place someone will throw hush!
Khothaih ah bawkim kah laa neh rhung uh ni. Te tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni. Hmuen takuem ah rhok te a huep la muep a voeih ni.
4 Hear this O those [who] trample on [the] needy and to put an end to ([the] afflicted [people] of *Q(K)*) [the] land.
Khodaeng aka hloem tih khohmuen kah mangdaeng kodo aka kangkuen te he he hnatun uh.
5 Saying when? will it pass the new moon so we may sell grain grain and the sabbath so we may open grain to make small an ephah and to make great a shekel and to falsify balances of deceit.
“Me vaengah nim hla a boeih vetih cangtham n'yoih ve. Sabbath laeh vetih cangpai n'ong laeh mako. Cangnoek khaw rhaidaeng la, shekel khaw a puehkan mai la, thailatnah te cooi aka khun mai la.
6 To buy for silver poor [people] and [the] needy for sake of a pair of sandals and refuse of grain we will sell grain.
Tattloel te tangka neh, khodaeng khaw khokhom neh lai ham tih cang hi yoih ham,” a thui.
7 He has sworn Yahweh by [the] pride of Jacob if I will forget to perpetuity all deeds their.
BOEIPA loh Jakob kah hoemdamnah neh a toemngam coeng. Amih kah khoboe boeih te a yoeyah la ka hnilh mahpawh.
8 ¿ On this not will it tremble the land and he will mourn every [one who] dwells in it and it will rise like the light all of it and it will be tossed (and it will sink *Q(K)*) like [the] River of Egypt.

9 And it will be - on the day that [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh and I will cause to go the sun at noon and I will make dark the earth in a day of light.
Te khohnin ah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong pai ni. Khomik te khothun ah ka tlak sak vetih khothaih khosae ah diklai te ka hmuep sak ni.
10 And I will turn feasts your into mourning and all songs your into lamentation and I will bring up on all loins sackcloth and on every head baldness and I will make it like [the] mourning of an only [son] and end its [will be] like a day bitter.
Nangmih kah khotue te nguekcoinah la, na lumlaa boeih rhahlung la ka maelh ni. Cinghen tom ah tlamhni kan yen vetih na lu boeih te lungawng la om ni. Anih te oingaih cangloeng kah nguekcoinah bangla, a hmailong te khahing khohnin bangla ka khueh ni.
11 Here! - days [are] coming [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh and I will send a famine in the land not a famine for bread and not a thirst for water that except for hearing [the] words of Yahweh.
Ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong hnin pai coeng he. Te dongah diklai ah khokha ka tueih ni. Buh kah khokha pawt tih tui dongah tuihalh bal moenih. Tedae BOEIPA ol yaak nah te ni.
12 And people will stagger from sea to sea and from [the] north and to [the] east they will rove about to seek [the] word of Yahweh and not they will find [it].
Tuitunli lamloh tuitunli duela hinghuen uh ni. BOEIPA ol te tlap hamla tlangpuei lamloh khocuk duela hil uh cakhaw hmu uh mahpawh.
13 In the day that they will become faint the virgins beautiful and the young men by thirst.
Te khohnin ah tah oila sakthen neh tongpang khaw tuihalh dongah saa uh ni.
14 Those [who] swear by [the] guilt of Samaria and they will say [by] [the] life of gods your O Dan and [by] [the] life of [the] way of Beer Sheba and they will fall and not they will rise again.
Samaria kah dumlai neh aka toemngam rhoek long khaw, “Dan nang kah pathen tah hing tih Beersheba longpuei khaw hing,” ti uh. Tedae cungku vetih koep thoo mahpawh.
