Amos 5
1 Hear the word this which I [am] lifting up on you a lamentation O house of Israel.
Escuchen esta palabra, mi canción de tristeza sobre ustedes, hijos de Israel.
2 She has fallen not she will repeat to rise [the] virgin of Israel she has been abandoned on own land her there not [is one who] raises up her.
La virgen de Israel ha sido abatida, para nunca más ser elevada; ella está tendida sola en su tierra; no hay nadie que la vuelva a poner de pie.
3 For thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh the city which goes out a thousand it will have left a hundred and which goes out a hundred it will have left ten of [the] house of Israel.
Porque estas son las palabras del Señor Dios: El pueblo que salió con mil, solo cien quedarán; y él que envió cien, solo tendrá diez en Israel.
4 For thus he says Yahweh to [the] house of Israel seek me and live.
Porque estas son las palabras del Señor a los hijos de Israel: Vuelvan sus corazones a mí, para que tengan vida.
5 And may not you seek Beth-el and Gilgal not you must go and Beer Sheba not you must pass over for Gilgal certainly it will go into exile and Beth-el it will become trouble.
No busquen a Betel, y no vayas a Gilgal, ni vayas a Beerseba; porque Gilgal ciertamente será hecho prisionero, y Betel se quedará sin nada.
6 Seek Yahweh and live lest he should rush like fire [the] house of Joseph and it will consume and not [one who] extinguishes [it] [will belong] to Beth-el.
Ve al Señor en busca de ayuda para que puedas tener vida; por temor a que él venga como fuego estallando en la familia de José, causando destrucción, y no habrá nadie para apagarlo en Betel.
7 O those [who] turn into wormwood justice and righteousness to the ground they thrust down.
Tú que conviertes juicio en ajenjo, echando por los suelos la justicia;
8 [the] maker of Pleiades and Orion and [the one who] turns into morning deep darkness and day night he makes dark the [one who] summons [the] waters of the sea and he poured out them on [the] surface of the earth [is] Yahweh name his.
Ve en busca de ayuda al que hace a Orión y las Pléyades, él que convierte la sombra de muerte en mañana, que hace que el día se oscurezca con la noche; él que llama a las aguas del mar, y las derrama sobre la faz de la tierra; el Señor es su nombre;
9 The [who] causes to flash devastation on [the] strong and devastation on a fortress it will come.
Que envía destrucción repentina a los fuertes, de modo que la destrucción llega a la ciudad amurallada.
10 They hate in the gate [one who] reproves and [one who] speaks blameless they abhor.
Odian al que protesta contra el mal en la puerta ( de la ciudad), y aborrecen al que habla con integridad.
11 Therefore because trample you on [the] poor and a portion of grain you take from him houses of hewn [stone] you have built and not you will dwell in them vineyards of delight you have planted and not you will drink wine their.
Entonces, porque el pobre hombre es pisoteado, y tú le sacas impuestos de grano; te has hecho casas de piedra cortada, pero no descansarás en ellas; los hermosos viñedos plantados por tus manos no te darán vino.
12 For I know many transgressions your and numerous sins your O opposers of [the] righteous O takers of ransom and needy [people] in the gate they turn aside.
Porque he visto cómo se incrementa tu maldad y cuán fuertes son tus pecados, perturbadores de los rectos, que toman recompensas y hacen mal a la causa de los pobres en el lugar público.
13 Therefore the prudent [person] at the time that he will be silent for [is] a time evil it.
Entonces el prudente no dirá nada en ese tiempo; porque es un tiempo de maldad.
14 Seek good and may not [it be] evil so that you will live and it may be thus Yahweh God of hosts [will be] with you just as you have said.
Busquen el bien y no el mal, para que la vida sea tuya, y así el Señor, el Dios de los ejércitos, estará con ustedes, como ustedes han dicho.
15 Hate evil and love good and set up in the gate justice perhaps he will show favor to Yahweh God of hosts [the] remnant of Joseph.
Sean aborrecedores del mal y amantes del bien, establezcan la justicia en la puerta (de la ciudad); puede ser que el Señor, el Dios de los ejércitos, tenga misericordia del remanente de José.
16 Therefore thus he says Yahweh God of hosts [the] Lord [will be] in all [the] open places wailing and in all [the] streets people will say alas! alas! and people will call a farmer to mourning and wailing to [those who] know lamentation.
Estas son las palabras del Señor, el Dios de los ejércitos, el Señor: Habrá llanto en todas las plazas; Y en todas las calles dirán: ¡Ay! ¡Ay! y llamarán al agricultor al llanto, y a lamentaciones al llorón profesional.
17 And [will be] in all [the] vineyards wailing for I will pass in midst your he says Yahweh.
En todos los viñedos habrá gritos de dolor: porque pasaré entre en medio de ustedes, dice el Señor.
18 Woe to! those [who] desire [the] day of Yahweh why? this to you [the] day of Yahweh it [will be] darkness and not light.
¡Ay de ustedes que desean el día del Señor! ¿Que es el día del Señor para ti? Será de tinieblas y no de luz.
19 Just as he flees someone from before the lion and it meets him the bear and he goes the house and he leans hand his on the wall and it bites him the snake.
Como si un hombre, huyendo de un león, se encontrará cara a cara con un oso; o entró a la casa y puso su mano en la pared y recibió una mordedura de una serpiente.
20 ¿ Not [be] darkness [will] [the] day of Yahweh and not light and gloomy and not brightness [will belong] to it.
¿No será el día del Señor oscuro y no luz? incluso muy oscuro, sin luz que brille?
21 I hate I reject feasts your and not I delight in assemblies your.
Tus fiestas son repugnantes para mí, no tendré nada que ver con ellas; No me deleitaré en tus reuniones solemnes.
22 That except you will offer up to me burnt offerings and grain offerings your not I will accept [them] and [the] peace offering of fatlings your not I will pay attention to.
Aunque me des tus ofrendas quemadas y tus ofrendas de comida, no las aceptaré; no tendré nada que ver con las ofrendas de paz de sus animales engordados.
23 Remove from with me [the] noise of songs your and [the] music of lyres your not I will listen to.
Alejen de mí el ruido de tus canciones; Mis oídos están cerrados a la melodía de tus instrumentos.
24 And it may roll on like water justice and righteousness like a wadi ever-flowing.
Pero dejen que él juicio fluya como agua, y la justicia fluya como un manantial siempre.
25 ¿ Sacrifices and grain offering[s] did you bring near to me in the wilderness forty year[s] O house of Israel.
¿Viniste a mí con ofrendas de animales y ofrendas de comida en el desierto durante cuarenta años, oh casa de Israel?
26 And you will lift up Sikkuth king your and Kiyyun images your [the] star of gods your which you made for yourselves.
En verdad, tendrán que cargar con él tabernáculo de Moloc, Sicut, y Qiyun sus imágenes, la estrella de su dios, que hicieron para ustedes mismos.
27 And I will send into exile you from beyond Damascus he says [is] Yahweh God of hosts name his.
Y los enviaré como prisioneros más lejos que Damasco, dice el Señor, cuyo nombre es el Dios de los ejércitos.
