Amos 3
1 Hear the word this which he has spoken Yahweh on you O people of Israel on all the clan which I brought up from [the] land of Egypt saying.
Pueblo de Israel, escuchen el mensaje que el Señor ha enviado contra ustedes. Todos ustedes, a quienes saqué de la tierra de Egipto.
2 Only you I have known from all [the] clans of the earth there-fore I will visit on you all iniquities your.
Elegí tener una relación especial solamente contigo, en medio de todas las familias de la tierra, y por ello los castigaré por su maldad.
3 ¿ Do they walk two [people] together except if they have met by appointment.
¿Pueden dos caminar juntos sin ponerse de acuerdo para encontrarse?
4 ¿ Does it roar a lion in the forest and prey not [belongs] to it ¿ does it give forth a young lion voice its from den its except if it has caught [something].
¿Acaso un León ruge en medio de la selva antes de cazar su presa? ¿Acaso una cría de león gruñe desde su guarida si no ha cazado nada?
5 ¿ Does it fall a bird on bird-trap of the earth and [is] a snare there not for it ¿ does it go up a bird-trap from the ground and surely not it catches [something].
¿Acaso un ave cae en una trampa a menos que se calibre el resorte? ¿Acaso la trampa funcionará si no cae un ave en ella?
6 Is it blown a trumpet in a city and [the] people not they tremble or? is it calamity in a city and Yahweh not he has done [it].
Cuando suena la trompeta en la ciudad, ¿no debería alarmarse el pueblo? Cuando el desastre llega a la ciudad, ¿no es por obra del Señor?
7 For not he does [the] Lord Yahweh anything that except he has revealed secret counsel his to servants his the prophets.
Porque el Señor no hace nada sin revelar sus intenciones a sus siervos los profetas.
8 A lion it has roared who? not will he be afraid [the] Lord Yahweh he has spoken who? not will he prophesy.
El león ha rugido, ¿quién no temerá? El Señor ha hablado, ¿quién podrá negarse a hablar por él?
9 Proclaim to [the] fortresses in Ashdod and to [the] fortresses in [the] land of Egypt and say gather yourselves on [the] mountains of Samaria and see disturbances great in [the] midst of it and oppression in midst its.
Anuncia esto en los castillos de Asdod y en los castillos en la tierra de Egipto: Reúnanse en los montes de Samaria y vean el alboroto y la opresión que hay en el país.
10 And not they know to do straightforwardness [the] utterance of Yahweh those [who] store up violence and devastation in fortresses their.
Ellos no saben hacer lo recto, declara el Señor. Han guardado en sus castillos lo que han arrebatado con violencia y lo que han robado.
11 Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh an opponent and around the land and he will bring down from you strength your and they will be plundered fortresses your.
Por eso, dice el Señor, un enemigo te rodeará, quebrantará tus baluartes, y saqueará tus castillos.
12 Thus he says Yahweh just as he delivers the shepherd from [the] mouth of lion two legs or a piece of an ear so they will be delivered [the] people of Israel who dwell in Samaria with a corner of a bed and with silk of a couch.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Como un pastor que trata de rescatar a una oveja de la boca de un león, pero solo salva un par de patas, o la punta de una oreja, así sucederá con el pueblo de Israel que habita en Samaria: Solo se “salvará” una esquina del sofá, o el trozo de la pata de una cama.
13 Hear and warn [the] house of Jacob [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh [the] God of hosts.
¡Escuchen! Adviertan a la casa de Jacob, dice el Señor Dios de poder.
14 That on [the] day visit I [the] transgressions of Israel on it and I will visit [them] on [the] altars of Beth-el and they will be cut off [the] horns of the altar and they will fall to the ground.
Porque ese día castigaré a Israel por sus pecados. Destruiré los altares de Betel: los extremos del altar serán destruidos y caerán.
15 And I will strike [the] house of the winter to [the] house of the summer and they will perish [the] houses of ivory and people will snatch away houses great [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Yo derribaré sus casas de verano también, y sus casas llenas de marfil quedarán en ruinas. Todas sus casas serán destruidas.
