Amos 2
1 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Moab and on four not I will revoke it because burned he [the] bones of [the] king of Edom into lime.
Hivi ndivyo Yahwe asemavyo: “Kwa dhambi tatu za Moabu, hata kwa nne, sintobadilisha adhabu, kwa sababu amechoma moto mifupa ya mfalme wa Edomu hadi kuwa chokaa.
2 And I will send forth a fire on Moab and it will consume [the] fortresses of Kerioth and it will die in uproar Moab with a shout of alarm with [the] sound of a trumpet.
Nitatuma moto juu ya Moabu, na utaangamiza ngome za Keriothi. Moabu atakufa katika gasia, pamoja na kelele na sauti ya tarumbeta.
3 And I will cut off a judge from midst its and all officials its I will kill with him he says Yahweh.
Nitamuharibu mwamuzi kati yake, na nitawaua wana wa mfalme pamoja na yeye,” asema Yahwe.
4 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Judah and on four not I will revoke it because have rejected they [the] law of Yahweh and statutes his not they have kept and they have misled them lies their which they walked ancestors their after them.
Hivi ndivyo Yahwe asemavyo: “Kwa dhambi tatu za Yuda, hata kwa nne, sintobadilisha adhabu, kwa sababu wameikataa sheria ya Yahwe na hawakuzishika amri zake. Uongo wao umesababisha kupotea, ambao baba zao pia waliufuata.
5 And I will send forth a fire on Judah and it will consume [the] fortresses of Jerusalem.
Nitatuma moto juu ya Yuda, na utaimeza ngome ya Yerusalemu.”
6 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Israel and on four not I will revoke it because sold they for silver [the] righteous and [the] needy for sake of a pair of sandals.
Hivi ndivyo Yahwe asemavyo: “Kwa dhambi tatu za Israeli, hata kwa nne, sintobadilisha adhabu, kwa sababu wamewauza wasio na hatia kwa fedha na maskini kwa jozi moja ya makubadhi.
7 Those [who] trample on [the] dust of [the] earth on [the] head of poor [people] and [the] way of humble [people] they turn aside and a man and father his they go into the young woman so as to profane [the] name of holiness my.
Nao hukanyaga juu ya vichwa vya maskini kama kukanyaga kwenye mavumbi juu ya aridhi; wanasukuma kukandamiza. Mtu mmoja na baba yake walilala na msichana mmoja na hivyo kukufuru jina langu takatifu.
8 And on garments taken in pledge they stretch out beside every altar and [the] wine of fines they drink [the] house of god their.
Nao hulala chini karibu na kila madhabahu kwenye nguo zilizowekwa dhamana, na katika nyumba ya Mungu wao hunywa divai ya wale ambao walitozwa faini.
9 And I I destroyed the Amorite[s] from before them who [was] like [the] height of cedars height his and [is] strong he like oaks and I destroyed fruit his above and roots his beneath.
Bado nimemwangamiza Mwamori mbele yao, ambaye urefu wake ulikuwa kama urefu wa mierezi; alikuwa na nguvu kama mialoni. Kisha nikaharibu matunda yake juu na mizizi yake chini.
10 And I I brought up you from [the] land of Egypt and I led you in the wilderness forty year[s] to take possession of [the] land of the Amorite[s].
Pia, niliwapandisha kutoka nchi ya Misri na kuwaongoza miaka arobaini nyikani ili mmiliki nchi ya Wamori.
11 And I raised up some of sons your to prophets and some of young men your to Nazirites ¿ also not [is] this O people of Israel [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Nimewainua manabii kutoka miongoni mwa watoto wanu wawe Wanadhiri kutoka vijana wenu. Je sio hivyo, watu wa Israeli? -hivi ndivyo Yahwe asemavyo.
12 And you made drink the Nazirites wine and to the prophets you commanded saying not you must prophesy.
Lakini mmewashawishi Wanadhiri kunywa mvinyo na kuwaamuru manabii wasifanye unabii.
13 Here! I [am] about to make totter under you just as it totters the cart full itself cut grain.
Tazama, nitawakanyaga kama mkokoteni uliojaa miganda inayoweza kumkanyaga mtu.
14 And it will be lost a place of escape from a swift [person] and a strong [person] not he will make firm power his and a mighty [person] not he will save life his.
Mtu akimbiaye hatapata kimbilio; mwenye nguvu hatoongeza nguvu zake mwenyewe; wala shujaa kujiokoa mwenyewe.
15 And [the] handler of the bow not he will stand and a [person] swift on feet his not he will save and [the] rider of the horse not he will save life his.
Apindaye upinde hatasimama; mkimbiaji sana hatakimbia; mwendesha farasi hatajiokoa mwenyewe.
16 And [the] [person] strong of heart his among the warriors naked he will flee on the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Hata wapiganaji shujaa watakimbia uchi katika siku hiyo -hivi ndivyo Yahwe asemavy.”
