Amos 2
1 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Moab and on four not I will revoke it because burned he [the] bones of [the] king of Edom into lime.
So hat der HERR gesprochen: »Wegen der drei, ja vier Freveltaten der Moabiter mache ich es nicht rückgängig! Weil sie die Gebeine des Königs von Edom zu Kalk verbrannt haben,
2 And I will send forth a fire on Moab and it will consume [the] fortresses of Kerioth and it will die in uproar Moab with a shout of alarm with [the] sound of a trumpet.
will ich Feuer gegen die Moabiter schleudern: das soll die Paläste von Kerioth verzehren; die Moabiter aber sollen im Getümmel umkommen beim Kriegsgeschrei, beim Schall der Posaune;
3 And I will cut off a judge from midst its and all officials its I will kill with him he says Yahweh.
und ich will den Richter aus ihrer Mitte ausrotten und alle ihre Fürsten zugleich mit ihm umbringen« – der HERR hat es ausgesprochen.
4 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Judah and on four not I will revoke it because have rejected they [the] law of Yahweh and statutes his not they have kept and they have misled them lies their which they walked ancestors their after them.
So hat der HERR gesprochen: »Wegen der drei, ja vier Freveltaten Judas mache ich es nicht rückgängig! Weil sie das Gesetz des HERRN verworfen und seine Gebote nicht beobachtet haben und sich von ihren Lügengötzen haben irreführen lassen, denen schon ihre Väter nachgelaufen sind,
5 And I will send forth a fire on Judah and it will consume [the] fortresses of Jerusalem.
will ich Feuer gegen Juda schleudern: das soll die Paläste Jerusalems verzehren.«
6 Thus he says Yahweh on three transgressions of Israel and on four not I will revoke it because sold they for silver [the] righteous and [the] needy for sake of a pair of sandals.
So hat der HERR gesprochen: »Wegen der drei, ja vier Freveltaten Israels mache ich es nicht rückgängig: weil sie den Unschuldigen für Geld und den Armen um eines Paares Schuhe willen verkaufen,
7 Those [who] trample on [the] dust of [the] earth on [the] head of poor [people] and [the] way of humble [people] they turn aside and a man and father his they go into the young woman so as to profane [the] name of holiness my.
sie, die den Kopf der Armen in den Erdenstaub treten und die Niedrigen vom Wege drängen! Vater und Sohn gehen zu (derselben) Dirne, um meinen heiligen Namen zu entweihen;
8 And on garments taken in pledge they stretch out beside every altar and [the] wine of fines they drink [the] house of god their.
auf Gewändern, die sie zum Pfand genommen haben, strecken sie sich aus neben jedem Altar und trinken den Wein, der von Strafgeldern herrührt, im Hause ihres Gottes!
9 And I I destroyed the Amorite[s] from before them who [was] like [the] height of cedars height his and [is] strong he like oaks and I destroyed fruit his above and roots his beneath.
Und ich habe doch einst die Amoriter vor ihnen her vernichtet, deren Wuchs den Zedern an Höhe gleichkam und die stark wie die Eichen waren, und ich habe ihre Früchte oben (im Wipfel) und ihre Wurzeln unten (im Boden) vernichtet.
10 And I I brought up you from [the] land of Egypt and I led you in the wilderness forty year[s] to take possession of [the] land of the Amorite[s].
Und ich bin es doch gewesen, der euch aus dem Lande Ägypten hergeführt und euch vierzig Jahre lang in der Wüste hat wandern lassen, damit ihr das Land der Amoriter in Besitz nähmet.
11 And I raised up some of sons your to prophets and some of young men your to Nazirites ¿ also not [is] this O people of Israel [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Und ich habe von euren Söhnen manche als Propheten und von euren Jünglingen manche als Nasiräer auftreten lassen: oder ist’s etwa nicht so, ihr Kinder Israel?« – so lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN.
12 And you made drink the Nazirites wine and to the prophets you commanded saying not you must prophesy.
»Ihr aber habt den Nasiräern Wein zu trinken gegeben und den Propheten streng geboten: ›Ihr dürft nicht prophetisch reden!‹
13 Here! I [am] about to make totter under you just as it totters the cart full itself cut grain.
Darum will ich euch den Boden unter den Füßen schwanken machen, wie der Wagen schwankt, der mit Garben beladen ist.
14 And it will be lost a place of escape from a swift [person] and a strong [person] not he will make firm power his and a mighty [person] not he will save life his.
Da wird dann dem Schnellfüßigen das Fliehen vergehen und dem Starken die Kraft versagen; der Kriegsheld wird sein Leben nicht retten können
15 And [the] handler of the bow not he will stand and a [person] swift on feet his not he will save and [the] rider of the horse not he will save life his.
und der Bogenschütze nicht standhalten; der Schnellfüßige wird nicht entrinnen und der Reiter hoch zu Roß sein Leben nicht retten;
16 And [the] [person] strong of heart his among the warriors naked he will flee on the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh.
auch der Beherzteste unter den Kriegshelden wird, seiner Waffen beraubt, die Flucht ergreifen an jenem Tage!« – so lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN.
