Acts 26
1 Agrippa then to Paul was saying; It is permitted you (for *N(k)O*) yourself to speak. Then Paul having stretched out the hand was presenting a defense:
Et Agrippa dit à Paul: Il t’est permis de parler pour toi. Alors Paul, ayant étendu la main, prononça son apologie:
2 Concerning all of which I am accused by [the] Jews, King Agrippa, I have esteemed myself fortunate before you being about today to present a defense;
Je m’estime heureux, roi Agrippa, de ce que, au sujet de toutes les choses dont je suis accusé par les Juifs, je dois faire mon apologie aujourd’hui devant toi,
3 Especially acquainted being you with all the of [the] Jews (customs *NK(o)*) and also controversies. therefore I implore (you *k*) patiently to hear me.
surtout parce que tu es au fait de toutes les coutumes et questions qui [existent] parmi les Juifs; c’est pourquoi je te prie de m’écouter avec patience.
4 The indeed then manner of life of mine which [is] from youth from [its] beginning having been among the nation of mine in (also *no*) Jerusalem know all the Jews
Ma manière de vivre donc dès ma jeunesse, telle qu’elle a été dès le commencement au milieu de ma nation à Jérusalem, tous les Juifs la connaissent,
5 knowing me from the first, if they may be willing to testify that according to the strictest sect of our own religion I lived [as] a Pharisee;
m’ayant connu depuis le commencement, s’ils veulent en rendre témoignage, [et sachant] que, selon la secte la plus exacte de notre culte, j’ai vécu pharisien.
6 And now for [the] hope of the (to *N(k)O*) the fathers of us promise having been made by God I have stood being judged,
Et maintenant je comparais en jugement pour l’espérance de la promesse faite par Dieu à nos pères,
7 to which the twelve tribes of us in earnestness night and day serving they hope to attain, concerning which hope I am accused (Agrippa *K*) by (the *k*) Jews, O king,
à laquelle nos douze tribus, en servant [Dieu] sans relâche nuit et jour, espèrent parvenir; et c’est pour cette espérance, ô roi, que je suis accusé par les Juifs.
8 Why incredible is it judged by you if God [the] dead raises?
Pourquoi, parmi vous, juge-t-on incroyable que Dieu ressuscite des morts?
9 I myself indeed therefore thought in myself to the name of Jesus of Nazareth needing many things contrary to do,
Pour moi donc, j’ai pensé en moi-même qu’il fallait faire beaucoup contre le nom de Jésus le Nazaréen:
10 which also I did in Jerusalem and many (also *no*) of the saints I myself (in *no*) prisons locked up the from the chief priests authority having received, when were being executed then they I cast against [them] a vote;
ce que j’ai fait aussi dans Jérusalem; et j’ai enfermé dans les prisons plusieurs des saints, après en avoir reçu le pouvoir des principaux sacrificateurs; et quand on les faisait mourir, j’y donnais ma voix;
11 And in all the synagogues often punishing them I was compelling [them] to blaspheme, Excessively then being furious against them I was persecuting [them] as far as even to foreign cities.
et souvent, dans toutes les synagogues, en les punissant, je les contraignais de blasphémer; et transporté de fureur contre eux, je les persécutais même jusque dans les villes étrangères.
12 during which (and *k*) journeying to Damascus with [the] authority and commission which [is] (from *k*) the chief priests
Et comme j’allais aussi à Damas pour cela, avec pouvoir et commission de la part des principaux sacrificateurs,
13 At day mid on the road I saw, O king, from heaven above the brightness of the sun having shone around me a light and those with me myself journeying.
en chemin, en plein midi, je vis, ô roi, une lumière plus éclatante que la splendeur du soleil, laquelle resplendit du ciel autour de moi et de ceux qui étaient en chemin avec moi.
14 All (and *N(k)O*) when were falling down we to the ground I heard a voice (saying *N(k)O*) to me (and saying *k*) in the Hebrew language; Saul Saul, why Me persecute you? [It is] hard for you against [the] goads to kick.
Et comme nous étions tous tombés à terre, j’entendis une voix qui me parlait et qui disait en langue hébraïque: Saul! Saul! pourquoi me persécutes-tu? Il t’est dur de regimber contre les aiguillons.
15 I myself then said; Who are You Lord? And (the Lord *no*) said; I myself am Jesus whom you yourself are persecuting.
Et moi je dis: Qui es-tu, Seigneur? Et le Seigneur dit: Je suis Jésus que tu persécutes.
16 But do rise up and do stand on the feet of you; to this [purpose] for I have appeared to you to appoint you a servant and a witness of that which both you have seen (of Me *NO*) of the things in which then I will appear to you,
Mais lève-toi et tiens-toi sur tes pieds: car je te suis apparu afin de te désigner pour serviteur et témoin, et des choses que tu as vues et de celles pour [la révélation] desquelles je t’apparaîtrai,
17 delivering you out from the people and (from *no*) the Gentiles, to whom (I myself *N(K)O*) am sending you
en te retirant du milieu du peuple et des nations vers lesquelles moi je t’envoie
18 to open eyes of them, that (to turn *NK(o)*) from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, [that] to receive they forgiveness of sins and [an] inheritance among those sanctified by faith which [is] in Me myself.
pour ouvrir leurs yeux, pour qu’ils se tournent des ténèbres à la lumière, et du pouvoir de Satan à Dieu; pour qu’ils reçoivent la rémission des péchés et une part avec ceux qui sont sanctifiés, par la foi en moi.
19 So then, O king Agrippa, not I was disobedient to the heavenly vision,
Ainsi, ô roi Agrippa, je n’ai pas été désobéissant à la vision céleste;
20 but to those in Damascus first (both *no*) also in Jerusalem (into *k*) all both the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles (I was declaring *N(k)O*) to repent and to turn to God worthy of repentance works doing.
mais j’ai annoncé premièrement à ceux de Damas, et à Jérusalem, et à tout le pays de la Judée, et aux nations, de se repentir et de se tourner vers Dieu, en faisant des œuvres convenables à la repentance.
21 On account of these things me (the *k*) Jews having seized (being *n*) in the temple they were attempting to kill.
À cause de cela les Juifs, m’ayant pris dans le temple, cherchaient à me tuer.
22 Help therefore having obtained (from *N(k)O*) God unto day this I have stood (bearing witness *N(k)O*) to small both and to great, no [thing] other saying than what both the prophets said was about to happen and Moses,
Ayant donc reçu le secours qui vient de Dieu, me voici debout jusqu’à ce jour, rendant témoignage aux petits et aux grands, ne disant rien d’autre que ce que les prophètes et Moïse ont annoncé devoir arriver,
23 that would suffer the Christ, as first through resurrection from [the] dead light He is about to preach (to both *no*) our people and to the Gentiles.
[savoir] qu’il fallait que le Christ soit soumis aux souffrances, et que, le premier par [la] résurrection des morts il devait annoncer la lumière et au peuple et aux nations.
24 These things now when he is presenting a defense Festus in a loud voice (said; *N(k)O*) You are insane Paul! The great of you learning to insanity turns [you]!
Et comme il parlait ainsi pour sa défense, Festus dit à haute voix: Tu es hors de sens, Paul; ton grand savoir te met hors de sens.
25 But (Paul; *no*) Not I am insane says most excellent Festus, but of truth and sobriety declarations I utter.
Mais Paul dit: Je ne suis point hors de sens, très excellent Festus, mais je prononce des paroles de vérité et de sens rassis:
26 Understands for concerning these things the king to whom also using boldness I speak; Hiding for him any of these things not I am persuaded no [thing]; not for is in a corner done of these things.
car le roi a la connaissance de ces choses, et je parle hardiment devant lui, car je suis persuadé qu’il n’ignore rien de ces choses: car ceci n’a point été fait en secret.
27 Believe you, King Agrippa, in the prophets? I know that you believe.
Ô roi Agrippa! crois-tu aux prophètes? Je sais que tu [y] crois.
28 Then Agrippa to Paul (was saying: *k*) Within so little [time] me you [seek to] persuade a Christian (to become! *N(k)O*)
Et Agrippa [dit] à Paul: Tu me persuaderas bientôt d’être chrétien.
29 And Paul (said; *k*) I would wish may God both in a little and in (much *N(k)O*) not only you but also all those hearing me this day to become such as also I myself am except chains these.
Mais Paul [dit]: Plût à Dieu que non seulement toi, mais aussi tous ceux qui m’entendent aujourd’hui, vous deveniez de toutes manières tels que je suis, hormis ces liens.
30 (and these things when was speaking he *K*) rose up (then *no*) the king and the governor and Bernice and those sitting with them;
Et le roi se leva, et le gouverneur et Bérénice, et ceux qui étaient assis avec eux;
31 and having withdrawn they were speaking to one another saying that No [thing] of death or of chains worthy (any *NO*) is doing man this.
et quand ils se furent retirés, ils conférèrent entre eux, disant: Cet homme ne fait rien qui soit digne de mort ou de liens.
32 Agrippa then to Festus was saying; to have been released was able man this, only unless he had appealed to Caesar.
Et Agrippa dit à Festus: Cet homme aurait pu être relâché, s’il n’en avait appelé à César.
