Acts 26
1 Agrippa then to Paul was saying; It is permitted you (for *N(k)O*) yourself to speak. Then Paul having stretched out the hand was presenting a defense:
| ܘܐܡܪ ܐܓܪܦܘܤ ܠܦܘܠܘܤ ܡܦܤ ܠܟ ܠܡܡܠܠܘ ܥܠ ܐܦܝ ܢܦܫܟ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܦܘܠܘܤ ܦܫܛ ܐܝܕܗ ܘܢܦܩ ܗܘܐ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܡܪ |
2 Concerning all of which I am accused by [the] Jews, King Agrippa, I have esteemed myself fortunate before you being about today to present a defense;
| ܥܠ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܡܬܪܫܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܐܓܪܦܐ ܤܒܪ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܝ ܕܛܘܒܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܩܕܡܝܟ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܢܦܩ ܐܢܐ ܪܘܚܐ |
3 Especially acquainted being you with all the of [the] Jews (customs *NK(o)*) and also controversies. therefore I implore (you *k*) patiently to hear me.
| ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܕܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܕܡܦܤ ܐܢܬ ܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܙܛܡܐ ܘܢܡܘܤܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܟ ܕܒܡܓܪܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܬܫܡܥܢܝ |
4 The indeed then manner of life of mine which [is] from youth from [its] beginning having been among the nation of mine in (also *no*) Jerusalem know all the Jews
| ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܐܢ ܨܒܝܢ ܕܢܤܗܕܘܢ ܕܘܒܪܝ ܕܡܢ ܛܠܝܘܬܝ ܕܗܘܘ ܠܝ ܡܢ ܫܘܪܝܐ ܒܥܡܝ ܘܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ |
5 knowing me from the first, if they may be willing to testify that according to the strictest sect of our own religion I lived [as] a Pharisee;
| ܡܛܠ ܕܡܢ ܢܘܓܪܐ ܡܦܤܝܢ ܒܝ ܘܝܕܥܝܢ ܕܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܪܫܝܐ ܕܦܪܝܫܐ ܚܝܝܬ |
6 And now for [the] hope of the (to *N(k)O*) the fathers of us promise having been made by God I have stood being judged,
| ܘܗܫܐ ܥܠ ܤܒܪܐ ܕܫܘܘܕܝܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܐܒܗܬܢ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܩܐܡ ܐܢܐ ܘܡܬܕܝܢ ܐܢܐ |
7 to which the twelve tribes of us in earnestness night and day serving they hope to attain, concerning which hope I am accused (Agrippa *K*) by (the *k*) Jews, O king,
| ܕܥܠ ܗܢܐ ܤܒܪܐ ܬܪܬܥܤܪܐ ܫܪܒܢ ܡܤܒܪܢ ܕܢܡܢܥܢ ܒܨܠܘܬܐ ܚܦܝܛܬܐ ܕܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܕܠܠܝܐ ܘܥܠܘܗܝ ܥܠ ܗܢܐ ܤܒܪܐ ܡܬܪܫܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܐܝܕܝ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܐܓܪܦܐ |
8 Why incredible is it judged by you if God [the] dead raises?
| ܡܢܐ ܕܝܢܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܕܢܗܝܡܢ ܕܡܩܝܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܝܬܐ |
9 I myself indeed therefore thought in myself to the name of Jesus of Nazareth needing many things contrary to do,
| ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܤܡܬ ܒܪܥܝܢܝ ܕܤܩܘܒܠܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܐܤܥܘܪ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܫܡܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܢܨܪܝܐ |
10 which also I did in Jerusalem and many (also *no*) of the saints I myself (in *no*) prisons locked up the from the chief priests authority having received, when were being executed then they I cast against [them] a vote;
| ܗܕܐ ܕܥܒܕܬ ܐܦ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܩܕܝܫܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܐܪܡܝܬ ܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܒܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܕܩܒܠܬ ܡܢ ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܟܕ ܡܬܩܛܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܐܫܬܘܬܦܬ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܝܒܘ ܐܢܘܢ |
11 And in all the synagogues often punishing them I was compelling [them] to blaspheme, Excessively then being furious against them I was persecuting [them] as far as even to foreign cities.
| ܘܒܟܠ ܟܢܘܫܐ ܡܫܬܢܕ ܗܘܝܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܐܠܨ ܗܘܝܬ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܓܕܦܝܢ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܘܒܪܘܓܙܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܕܡܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ ܢܦܩ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܡܪܕܦ ܐܢܘܢ |
12 during which (and *k*) journeying to Damascus with [the] authority and commission which [is] (from *k*) the chief priests
| ܘܟܕ ܐܙܠ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܛܠ ܗܕܐ ܠܕܪܡܤܘܩ ܒܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܘܒܡܦܤܢܘܬܐ ܕܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ |
13 At day mid on the road I saw, O king, from heaven above the brightness of the sun having shone around me a light and those with me myself journeying.
| ܒܦܠܓܗ ܕܝܘܡܐ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܚܙܝܬ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܐܘ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܙܠܓ ܥܠܝ ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܕܥܡܝ ܗܘܘ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܕܡܝܬܪ ܡܢ ܕܫܡܫܐ |
14 All (and *N(k)O*) when were falling down we to the ground I heard a voice (saying *N(k)O*) to me (and saying *k*) in the Hebrew language; Saul Saul, why Me persecute you? [It is] hard for you against [the] goads to kick.
| ܘܢܦܠܢ ܟܠܢ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܫܡܥܬ ܩܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܥܒܪܐܝܬ ܫܐܘܠ ܫܐܘܠ ܡܢܐ ܪܕܦ ܐܢܬ ܠܝ ܩܫܐ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܠܡܒܥܛܘ ܠܥܘܩܤܐ |
15 I myself then said; Who are You Lord? And (the Lord *no*) said; I myself am Jesus whom you yourself are persecuting.
| ܘܐܢܐ ܐܡܪܬ ܡܢ ܐܢܬ ܡܪܝ ܘܡܪܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܐܢܐ ܗܘ ܝܫܘܥ ܢܨܪܝܐ ܕܐܢܬ ܪܕܦ ܐܢܬ |
16 But do rise up and do stand on the feet of you; to this [purpose] for I have appeared to you to appoint you a servant and a witness of that which both you have seen (of Me *NO*) of the things in which then I will appear to you,
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܩܘܡ ܥܠ ܪܓܠܝܟ ܡܛܠ ܗܕܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܚܙܝܬ ܠܟ ܕܐܩܝܡܟ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܘܤܗܕܐ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܚܙܝܬܢܝ ܘܕܥܬܝܕ ܐܢܬ ܕܬܚܙܝܢܝ |
17 delivering you out from the people and (from *no*) the Gentiles, to whom (I myself *N(K)O*) am sending you
| ܘܐܦܨܝܟ ܡܢ ܥܡܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܡܫܕܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ |
18 to open eyes of them, that (to turn *NK(o)*) from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, [that] to receive they forgiveness of sins and [an] inheritance among those sanctified by faith which [is] in Me myself.
| ܕܬܦܬܚ ܥܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܗܦܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܠܢܗܝܪܐ ܘܡܢ ܫܘܠܛܢܗ ܕܤܛܢܐ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܢܩܒܠܘܢ ܫܘܒܩܢ ܚܛܗܐ ܘܦܤܐ ܥܡ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܒܝ |
19 So then, O king Agrippa, not I was disobedient to the heavenly vision,
| ܡܛܠ ܗܕܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܐܓܪܦܐ ܠܐ ܩܡܬ ܒܚܪܝܢܐ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܚܙܘܐ ܫܡܝܢܐ |
20 but to those in Damascus first (both *no*) also in Jerusalem (into *k*) all both the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles (I was declaring *N(k)O*) to repent and to turn to God worthy of repentance works doing.
| ܐܠܐ ܐܟܪܙܬ ܡܢ ܠܩܘܕܡܝܢ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܒܕܪܡܤܘܩ ܘܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܕܒܟܠܗܝܢ ܩܘܪܝܐ ܕܝܗܘܕ ܘܐܦ ܠܥܡܡܐ ܐܟܪܙܬ ܕܢܬܘܒܘܢ ܘܢܬܦܢܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܢܥܒܕܘܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܫܘܝܢ ܠܬܝܒܘܬܐ |
21 On account of these things me (the *k*) Jews having seized (being *n*) in the temple they were attempting to kill.
| ܘܥܠ ܐܦܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܚܕܘܢܝ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܨܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܡܩܛܠܢܝ |
22 Help therefore having obtained (from *N(k)O*) God unto day this I have stood (bearing witness *N(k)O*) to small both and to great, no [thing] other saying than what both the prophets said was about to happen and Moses,
| ܥܕܪܢܝ ܕܝܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܗܐ ܩܐܡ ܐܢܐ ܘܡܤܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܠܙܥܘܪܐ ܘܠܪܒܐ ܟܕ ܡܕܡ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܡܘܫܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܐܡܪܘ ܕܥܬܝܕܢ ܕܢܗܘܝܢ |
23 that would suffer the Christ, as first through resurrection from [the] dead light He is about to preach (to both *no*) our people and to the Gentiles.
| ܕܢܚܫ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܪܫܝܬܐ ܕܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܕܥܬܝܕ ܕܢܟܪܙ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܠܥܡܐ ܘܠܥܡܡܐ |
24 These things now when he is presenting a defense Festus in a loud voice (said; *N(k)O*) You are insane Paul! The great of you learning to insanity turns [you]!
| ܘܟܕ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܦܩ ܗܘܐ ܦܘܠܘܤ ܪܘܚܐ ܩܥܐ ܦܗܤܛܘܤ ܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܫܢܝܬ ܠܟ ܦܘܠܐ ܤܦܪܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܥܒܕܟ ܕܬܫܢܐ |
25 But (Paul; *no*) Not I am insane says most excellent Festus, but of truth and sobriety declarations I utter.
| ܐܡܪ ܦܘܠܘܤ ܠܐ ܫܢܝܬ ܢܨܝܚܐ ܦܗܤܛܘܤ ܐܠܐ ܡܠܝ ܫܪܪܐ ܘܬܩܢܘܬܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ |
26 Understands for concerning these things the king to whom also using boldness I speak; Hiding for him any of these things not I am persuaded no [thing]; not for is in a corner done of these things.
| ܘܐܦ ܡܠܟܐ ܐܓܪܦܘܤ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܝܕܥ ܥܠܝܗܝܢ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܘܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܥܝܢ ܒܓܠܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܚܕܐ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܐ ܠܐ ܤܒܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܛܥܝܢ ܠܗ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܛܘܫܝܐ ܤܥܝܪܢ |
27 Believe you, King Agrippa, in the prophets? I know that you believe.
| ܡܗܝܡܢ ܐܢܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܐܓܪܦܐ ܠܢܒܝܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܕܡܗܝܡܢ ܐܢܬ |
28 Then Agrippa to Paul (was saying: *k*) Within so little [time] me you [seek to] persuade a Christian (to become! *N(k)O*)
| ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܓܪܦܘܤ ܒܩܠܝܠ ܡܕܡ ܡܦܝܤ ܐܢܬ ܠܝ ܕܐܗܘܐ ܟܪܤܛܝܢܐ |
29 And Paul (said; *k*) I would wish may God both in a little and in (much *N(k)O*) not only you but also all those hearing me this day to become such as also I myself am except chains these.
| ܘܦܘܠܘܤ ܐܡܪ ܒܥܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܩܠܝܠ ܘܒܤܓܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܟ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܠܝ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܐܟܘܬܝ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܐܤܘܪܐ ܗܠܝܢ |
30 (and these things when was speaking he *K*) rose up (then *no*) the king and the governor and Bernice and those sitting with them;
| ܘܩܡ ܠܗ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܗܓܡܘܢܐ ܘܒܪܢܝܩܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܡܗܘܢ |
31 and having withdrawn they were speaking to one another saying that No [thing] of death or of chains worthy (any *NO*) is doing man this.
| ܘܟܕ ܦܪܩܘ ܡܢ ܬܡܢ ܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܚܕ ܥܡ ܚܕ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܫܘܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܐܘ ܠܐܤܘܪܐ ܠܐ ܥܒܕ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܢܐ |
32 Agrippa then to Festus was saying; to have been released was able man this, only unless he had appealed to Caesar.
| ܘܐܡܪ ܐܓܪܦܘܤ ܠܦܗܤܛܘܤ ܡܫܟܚ ܗܘܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܢܫܬܪܐ ܐܠܘ ܒܓܢ ܩܤܪ ܠܐ ܩܪܐ |
