Acts 12
1 At that [very] now time put forth Herod the king the hands to mistreat some of those of the church.
Tehdy začal pronásledovat církev také král Herodes.
2 He executed then James the brother of John with the sword.
Apoštola Jakuba, bratra Janova, dal popravit mečem.
3 (and *k*) Having seen (now *no*) that pleasing it is to the Jews, he proceeded to take also Peter — these were now (the *no*) days of the Unleavened [Bread] —
Když viděl, jak se tím zalíbil židovským předákům, dal o Velikonocích zatknout i Petra.
4 whom also having seized he put in prison having delivered [him] to four sets of four soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring out him to the people.
Vsadil ho do žaláře, který hlídalo šestnáct vojáků. Střídali se po čtveřicích; z toho dva strážili přede dveřmi a dva byli stále uvnitř s Petrem, který měl s každým z nich spojenu jednu ruku řetězem.
5 Indeed therefore Peter was kept in the prison; prayer however was (fervently *N(k)O*) being made by the church to God (concerning *N(k)O*) him.
Tak pečlivě dal král svého vězně hlídat a po Velikonocích ho chtěl okázale soudit. Po celou tu dobu se církev za Petra nepřetržitě modlila.
6 When then was about (to bring forth *N(k)(o)*) him Herod, in the night that [one] was Peter sleeping between two soldiers bound with chains two, guards also before the door were watching the prison.
V noci před chystaným procesem, když Petr spal mezi svými strážci, rýpl ho někdo do boku a probudil ho.
7 And behold an angel of [the] Lord stood by and a light shone in the cell; Having struck then the side of Peter he woke up him saying; do rise up with speed. And fell of him the chains off the hands.
Petr vidí, že kobka je plná světla a řetězy z jeho rukou dole. Před ním stojí Boží anděl a říká: „Rychle, vstávej, oblec se a obuj!“Petr poslechne a dostává další příkaz: „Vezmi si plášť a pojď za mnou!“
8 Said (then *N(k)O*) the angel to him; (do dress yourself *N(K)O*) and do yourself put on the sandals of you. He did and so. And he says to him; do yourself wrap around the cloak of you and do follow me.
9 And having gone forth he was following (him; *k*) and not did know that real is what is happening through the angel, he was thinking however a vision to see.
Anděl jde napřed, Petr ho následuje, ale neví, zda bdí či sní.
10 Having passed through then a first guard and a second they came to the gate iron which is leading into the city, which by itself (opened *N(k)O*) to them, And having gone out they went on through street one and immediately departed the angel from him.
Minou bez potíží vnitřní i vnější stráž a už přicházejí k železné hlavní bráně. Ta se před nimi sama otevírá! Vycházejí do ulice, projdou ji a tu se anděl Petrovi ztrácí.
11 And Peter to himself having come said; Now I know truly that has sent forth (the *no*) Lord the angel of Him and delivered me out of [the] hand of Herod and all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
Tehdy jako by se Petr probral ze sna; stál na ulici a teprve si plně uvědomil, že to Pán poslal svého anděla, vytrhl ho z Herodových rukou a tak zmařil plány Židů.
12 Having considered [it] also he came to the house (*no*) of Mary the mother of John who is called Mark, where were many gathered together and praying.
Když si to Petr ujasnil, spěchal do domu Marie, matky Jana Marka. Tam se právě sešli křesťané a modlili se.
13 When was knocking then (*k*) (he *N(K)O*) [at] the door of the gate came a girl to answer named Rhoda;
Petr zabušil na dveře a služebná jménem Rodé se přišla zeptat, kdo to je.
14 And having recognized the voice of Peter from joy not she opened the gate having run in but she reported to have been standing Peter before the gate.
Když se Petr ohlásil, poznala ho Rodé po hlase, ale samou radostí zapomněla otevřít a běžela zvěstovat dovnitř, kdo to stojí u dveří.
15 And to her they said; You rave. But she was insisting [it] so to be. And they were saying; The angel it is of him.
Nikdo jí nechtěl uvěřit: „To není možné, tys to popletla!“Rodé však trvala na svém: „Poznala jsem přece Petrův hlas!“Usoudili tedy, že apoštol byl zabit a že přišel jeho anděl.
16 But Peter was continuing knocking; having opened [it] then they saw him and were amazed.
Vtom však Petr zaklepal znovu. Otevřeli a celí užaslí uvítali Petra živého.
17 Having made a sign then to them with the hand to be silent, he related to them how the Lord him had brought out of the prison; He said (then; *N(k)O*) do report to James and to the brothers these things. And having gone out he went to another place.
Když je konečně utišil, vypravoval jim, jak ho Pán vyvedl ze žaláře. Ještě je požádal, aby podali zprávu Ježíšovu bratru Jakubovi a ostatním křesťanům; pak odešel, aby se ukryl.
18 When was coming now day there was disturbance no small among the soldiers what then [of] Peter has become.
Ráno vypukl mezi strážci poplach: Kam se poděl vězeň?
19 Herod then having sought after him and not having found [him] having examined the guards he commanded [them] to be led away [to death], And having gone down from Judea to (*k*) Caesarea he was staying [there].
Herodes ho dal hledat, ale marně. Vyslýchal vojáky, a když se od nich nic nedozvěděl, dal je popravit.
20 He was now (*k*) (Herod *K*) furiously angry with [the] Tyrians and Sidonians; with one accord then they were coming to him And having gained Blastus who [was] over the bedchamber of the king they were seeking peace, because of being nourished their region by the king’s.
Záhy nato se Herodes odebral z Judska do Césareje, kde se nějaký čas zdržel. Měl tehdy spory s obyvateli přístavů Týr a Sidón. Ti se nakonec zalekli jeho výhrůžek a chtěli raději uzavřít příměří, protože byli na Herodově území hospodářsky závislí. Poslali společného vyslance a úplatkem získali přízeň předního králova dvořana Blasta.
21 On the appointed now day Herod having put on apparel royal and having sat on the throne was making an address to them.
V den audience usedl Herodes ve slavnostním rouchu na trůn a přednesl řeč.
22 And the people were crying out; Of a god [this is the] voice and not of a man!
Lid začal provolávat: „Nemluvil člověk, to promluvil bůh!“
23 Immediately then struck him an angel of [the] Lord in return for that not he gave the glory to God, and having been eaten by worms he breathed his last.
Herodes tu božskou poctu přijímal jako samozřejmost, ale náhle se zhroutil; Bůh ho ranil pro jeho pýchu. Zemřel pak velice bídně, plný červů.
24 But the word (of God *NK(O)*) was continuing to grow and was being multiplied.
Navzdory pronásledování se Boží poselství rozmáhalo a šířilo.
25 Barnabas then and Saul returned (to *N(K)O*) Jerusalem having fulfilled the mission, having taken with [them] (and *k*) John the [one] having been called Mark.
Barnabáš a Saul splnili svoje poslání v Jeruzalémě a vrátili se do Antiochie, kam s sebou vzali Jana Marka.
