3 John 1
1 The elder To Gaius the beloved whom I myself love in truth.
Jaarsicha irraa, Gara Gaayoos michuu koo, isa ani dhugaadhaan jaalladhuutti.
2 Beloved, concerning all things I pray you to do well and to be in good health even as does well your soul.
Yaa michuu ko, akkuma lubbuu keetti tole sana akka wanni hundinuu sitti toluu fi akka ati fayyaa qabaattuuf nan kadhadha.
3 I rejoiced for exceedingly when were coming [the] brothers and those bearing witness from you to the to truth, even as you yourself in truth are walking.
Obboloonni tokko tokko dhufanii akka ati dhugaaf amanamaa taatee fi akka ati dhugaadhaan jiraattu natti himnaan ani akka malee gammade.
4 Greater than these things not I have (joy *NK(O)*) that I may hear of my children in (the *no*) truth walking.
Ijoolleen koo dhugaadhaan jiraachuu isaanii dhagaʼuu caalaa ani gammachuu guddaa hin qabu.
5 Beloved, faithfully you are doing whatever maybe you shall do for the brothers and (for *k*) (that [thing] *N(k)O*) strangers,
Yaa michuu ko, yoo isaan keessummoota sitti taʼan illee ati waan obbolootaaf gootu keessatti amanamaa dha.
6 who testified of your love before [the] church, whom well you will do having set forward worthily of God.
Isaan waaʼee jaalala keetii waldaa kiristaanaatti himaniiru. Maaloo haala Waaqatti toluun karaan isaanii irratti isaan gargaari.
7 On behalf for of the name they went forth nothing accepting from the (Gentile [people]. *N(k)O*)
Isaan Maqaa isaatiif jedhanii utuu ormoota irraa gargaarsa tokko illee hin argatin baʼaniiruutii.
8 We ourselves therefore ought (to receive *N(k)O*) such [men] so that fellow workers we may be in the truth.
Kanaafuu nu akka isaan wajjin dhugaaf hojjennuuf namoota akkasii simannee gargaaruu qabna.
9 I have written (something *no*) to the church; but the [one] loving to be first among them Diotrephes not welcomes us.
Ani waldaa kiristaanaatiif barreesseera; garuu isaan keessaa Diiyoxiraaxiis inni duree taʼuu barbaadu nu hin simatu.
10 Because of this, if I shall come, I will bring to remembrance of him the works which he is doing, with words evil prating against us; and not being satisfied with these, neither himself he receives the brothers, and those purposing he forbids and from the church he casts [them] out.
Kanaafuu ani yoon dhufe waan inni maqaa keenya balleessuudhaan hojjechaa jiru ifatti nan baasa. Akka waan wanni kun isa hanqateetti inni obboloota simachuu dida. Warra isaan simachuu barbaadanis ni dhowwa; waldaa kiristaanaa keessaas isaan ariʼa.
11 Beloved, not do imitate what [is] evil but what [is] good. The [one] doing good of God is; the [one] (now *k*) doing evil not has seen God.
Yaa michuu ko, waan gaarii duukaa buʼi malee waan hamaa duukaa hin buʼin. Namni waan gaarii hojjetu kam iyyuu kan Waaqaa ti. Namni waan hamaa hojjetu garuu takkumaa Waaqa hin argine.
12 To Demetrius witness has been given by all and by itself the truth; and we ourselves also bear witness, and (you know *N(k)O*) that the testimony of us true is.
Namni hundi Dimeexiroosiif dhugaa baʼa; dhugaan mataan ishee iyyuu dhugaa baati. Nus dhugaa baanaaf; isinis akka dhuga baʼumsi keenya dhugaa taʼe ni beektu.
13 Many things I had (to write *N(k)O*) (to you, *no*) but not I desire with ink and pen to you (to write; *N(k)O*)
Ani waanan siif barreessu baayʼee qaba; garuu biirii fi qalamiidhaan barreessuu hin barbaadu.
14 I hope however soon you to see and mouth to mouth we will speak. Peace to you. Greet you the friends. do greet the friends by name.
Qooda kanaa ani dhiʼootti si arguuf abdii qaba; nus ifaan ifatti ni haasofna. Nagaan siif haa taʼu. Michoonni as jiran nagaa siif dhaamu. Atis michoota achi jiran tokko tokkoon maqaa dhaʼiitii nagaa itti nuu himi.
