2 Timothy 1
1 Paul an apostle of Christ Jesus through [the] will of God according to [the] promise of life in Christ Jesus
Pablo, apóstol de Jesu Cristo, por la voluntad de Dios según la promesa de la vida, que es por Cristo Jesús,
2 To Timothy [my] beloved child: Grace, mercy, [and] peace from God [the] Father and Christ Jesus the Lord of us.
A Timoteo, mi amado hijo: Gracia, misericordia, y paz de Dios el Padre, y de Jesu Cristo Señor nuestro.
3 Thankful I am to God, whom I serve from [my] forefathers with a pure conscience, as unceasingly I have the of you remembrance in the prayers of mine night and day
Doy gracias a Dios, a quien sirvo desde mis mayores con limpia conciencia, de que sin cesar tengo memoria de ti en mis oraciones noche y día;
4 longing you to see, having yourself recalled your tears, so that with joy I may be filled
Deseando mucho verte, acordándome de tus lágrimas, para que me llene de gozo;
5 remembrance (having taken *N(k)O*) of the within you sincere faith, which dwelt first in the grandmother of you Lois and in the mother of you Eunice, I have been persuaded now that also [it is] in you.
Trayendo a la memoria la fe no fingida que está en ti, que también habitó primero en tu abuela Loida, y en tu madre Eunice; y estoy cierto que habita en ti también.
6 For this reason I remind you to kindle anew the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of the hands of mine;
Por lo cual te amonesto, que despiertes el don de Dios que está en ti por la imposición de mis manos.
7 Not for has given us God a spirit of cowardice but of power and of love and of self-control.
Porque no nos ha dado Dios el espíritu de temor, sino el de fortaleza, y de amor, y de cordura.
8 Not therefore you may be ashamed of the testimony of the Lord of us nor of me myself the prisoner of Him, but do suffer together for the gospel according to [the] power of God
Por tanto no te avergüences del testimonio de nuestro Señor, ni de mí que soy su prisionero; antes sé partícipe de los trabajos del evangelio según la virtud de Dios,
9 the [One who] having saved us and having called [us] with a calling holy, not according to the works of us but according to [His] own purpose and grace which having been given us in Christ Jesus before time eternal, (aiōnios g166)
El cual nos ha salvado, y nos ha llamado con santa vocación, no según nuestras obras, mas según su propio propósito, y gracia, la cual nos fue dada en Cristo Jesús, antes de los tiempos de los siglos; (aiōnios g166)
10 having been made manifest also now through the appearing of the Savior of us Christ Jesus, having abolished indeed death, having brought to light however life and immortality through the gospel,
Mas ahora es manifestada por la manifestación de nuestro Salvador Jesu Cristo, el cual verdaderamente acabó con la muerte, y sacó a luz la vida y la inmortalidad por medio del evangelio:
11 to which was appointed I myself a herald and an apostle and a teacher (of gentiles; *KO*)
Del cual yo soy constituido predicador, y apóstol, y maestro de los Gentiles.
12 For this reason also these things I suffer, But not I am ashamed; I know for in whom I have believed and I have been persuaded that able He is the entrusted deposit of mine to guard for that [very] day.
Por cuya causa asimismo padezco estas cosas; mas no me avergüenzo; porque yo sé a quien he creído, y estoy cierto que es poderoso para guardar mi depósito para aquel día.
13 [The] pattern do retain of sound words which from me you did hear in [the] faith and love that [are] in Christ Jesus;
Retén firmemente la forma de las sanas palabras que de mí oíste, en fe y amor que es en Cristo Jesús.
14 The good (entrusted deposit *N(k)O*) do keep through [the] Spirit Holy who is dwelling in us.
Guarda, pues, el buen depósito por el Espíritu Santo que habita en nosotros.
15 You know this, that turned away from me all those in Asia, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.
Ya sabes esto, que se me han vuelto en contrarios todos los que están en Asia; de los cuales son Figello, y Hermógenes.
16 would grant mercy the Lord to the of Onesiphorus household; because often me he refreshed and the chain of mine not (he was ashamed of, *N(k)O*)
Dé el Señor misericordia a la casa de Onesiforo, que muchas veces me refrigeró, y no se avergonzó de mi cadena:
17 But having arrived in Rome (earnestly *N(k)O*) he sought out me and found [me];
Antes estando él en Roma, me buscó solícitamente, y me halló.
18 would grant unto him the Lord to find mercy from [the] Lord in that [very] day! And how much in Ephesus he served very well you yourself know.
Déle el Señor que halle misericordia cerca del Señor en aquel día. Y cuanto nos ayudó en Efeso, tú lo sabes muy bien.
