< 2 Timothy 2 >

1 You yourself therefore, child of mine, do be strong in the grace that [is] in Christ Jesus,
ⲁ̅ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲠⲀϢⲎⲢⲒ ϪⲈⲘⲚⲞⲘϮ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲈⲦϦⲈⲚ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ.
2 And [the things] which you have heard from me among many witnesses, these do yourself entrust to faithful men, such as sufficient will be also others to teach.
ⲃ̅ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲤⲞⲐⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲞⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲘⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲬⲀⲨ ϦⲀⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲠⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲚϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ.
3 (you yourself *k*) (therefore *K*) (do share in suffering *N(k)O*) as [a] good soldier of Christ Jesus.
ⲅ̅ⲀⲢⲒϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲚϢⲈⲠⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲀⲦⲞⲒ ⲈⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ.
4 No [one] serving as a soldier entangles himself in the of this life affairs, so that the [one] having enlisted him he may please.
ⲇ̅ⲘⲠⲀⲢⲈ ϨⲖⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲦⲞⲒ ϬⲖⲈⲘⲖⲰⲘϤ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲀⲒⲰⲚϦ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲢⲀⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤϦⲞⲔϤ.
5 If now also shall compete anyone, not he is crowned only unless lawfully he shall compete.
ⲉ̅ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲢⲈϢⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϢⲈ ⲈⲪⲘⲀ ⲚϮ ⲘⲠⲀϤϬⲒⲬⲖⲞⲘ ⲀϤϢⲦⲈⲘϮ ⲚⲞⲘⲒⲘⲞⲤ.
6 For the hardworking farmer it is necessary first of the fruits to partake;
ⲋ̅ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲒ ⲈⲦϦⲞⲤⲒ ϨⲰϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚⲦⲈϤϬⲒ ⲚϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲞⲨⲦⲀϨ.
7 do consider ([the] thing *N(k)O*) I am saying; (will grant *N(k)O*) for you the Lord understanding in all things.
ⲍ̅ⲔⲀϮ ⲈⲚⲎ ⲈϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈϤⲈϮ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲘⲒ ϦⲈⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ.
8 do remember Jesus Christ raised out from [the] dead from [the] seed of David according to gospel of mine;
ⲏ̅ⲀⲢⲒⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲦⲰⲚϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠϪⲢⲞϪ ⲚⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲠⲀⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ
9 in which I suffer hardship even to chains as an evildoer, But the word of God not has been bound!
ⲑ̅ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈϮϬⲒⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϦⲎⲦϤ ϢⲀ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϨⲀⲚⲤⲚⲀⲨϨ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲢⲈϤⲈⲢⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲤⲞⲚϨ ⲀⲚ.
10 Because of this all things I endure for the sake of the elect, so that also they themselves [the] salvation may obtain that [is] in Christ Jesus with glory eternal. (aiōnios g166)
ⲓ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ϮⲈⲢϨⲨⲠⲞⲘⲈⲚⲒⲚ ϦⲈⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲒⲤⲰⲦⲠ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ϬⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦϦⲈⲚ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōnios g166)
11 Trustworthy [is] the saying: If for we have died with [Him], also we will live with [Him];
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ϤⲈⲚϨⲞⲦ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀⲚⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲒⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲰⲚϦ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲞⲚ
12 if we endure, also we will reign with [Him]; if (we will deny [Him], *N(k)O*) He also He also will deny us;
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲈⲢϨⲨⲠⲞⲘⲈⲚⲒⲚ ⲒⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲈⲢⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ⲞⲚ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀϪⲞⲖϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ϨⲰϤ ϤⲚⲀϪⲞⲖⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ
13 if we are faithless, He faithful remains; to deny (for *no*) Himself not He is able.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲈⲢⲀⲐⲚⲀϨϮ ⲪⲎ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ϤⲚⲀⲞϨⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲦⲈϤϪⲞⲖϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ.
14 These things do remind [them] solemnly charging [them] before (God *N(K)O*) not to quarrel about words (upon *N(k)O*) no [thing] profitable [but] to [the] subversion of those hearing.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲘⲀⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲔⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲘⲐⲞ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈϢⲦⲈⲘⲘⲖⲀϦ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲎⲞⲨ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲔ ⲈⲞⲨⲰϪⲠ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ.
15 do hasten yourself approved to present to God a workman not ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲘⲘⲞⲔ ⲈⲦⲀϨⲞⲔ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲰⲦⲠ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲄⲀⲦⲎⲤ ⲘⲠⲀϤϬⲒϢⲒⲠⲒ ⲈⲔϢⲰⲦ ⲘⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲤⲰⲞⲨⲦⲈⲚ.
16 But worldly empty babblings do yourself avoid; on to more for they will lead to ungodliness,
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲒⲤⲘⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲤⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦϢⲞⲨⲒⲦ ϨⲈⲚⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲄⲀⲢ ϢⲀⲨⲈⲢⲠⲢⲞⲔⲞⲠⲦⲒⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲤⲈⲂⲎⲤ.
17 and the talk of them like gangrene pasture to grow will have; among whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ϢⲀϤϪⲈⲘⲘⲀ ⲚⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲘⲈϮ ⲈⲤⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎ ⲦⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ϨⲨⲘⲈⲚⲈⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲪⲨⲖⲈⲦⲞⲤ.
18 who concerning the truth went astray asserting the resurrection already to have taken place, and they are overthrowing the of some faith.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲞⲨϮⲘⲀϮ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲆⲎ ⲀⲦⲀⲚⲀⲤⲦⲀⲤⲒⲤ ⲀⲤⲞⲨⲰ ⲀⲤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲪⲰⲚϨ ⲘⲪⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
19 Nevertheless the firm foundation of God has stood having seal this: Knows [the] Lord those being His, and should depart from iniquity everyone who is naming the name (of the Lord. *N(K)O*)
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ϮⲤⲈⲚϮ ⲘⲈⲚⲦⲞⲒ ⲈⲦⲦⲀϪⲢⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲤⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲤ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲀⲤ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲦⲀⲒⲤⲪⲢⲀⲄⲒⲤ ⲀⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲤⲞⲨⲈⲚ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨϤ ⲘⲀⲢⲞⲨϨⲈⲚⲞⲨ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲠϬⲒⲚϪⲞⲚⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦϪⲰ ⲘⲪⲢⲀⲚ ⲘⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ.
20 In a great now house not there are only vessels golden and silver but also wooden and earthen, and some indeed unto honor some however unto dishonor.
ⲕ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲎⲒ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲔⲈⲨⲞⲤ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲂ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϨⲀⲦ ⲈⲦⲈⲚϦⲎ ⲦϤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈϢⲈ ⲞⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲂⲈⲖϪ ϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲈⲨⲬⲎ ⲈⲠⲦⲀⲒⲞ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲨⲬⲎ ⲈⲨϢⲰϢ.
21 If therefore anyone shall cleanse himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor sanctified (and *k*) useful to the Master, for every work good prepared.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲀⲢⲈϢⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞϤ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲚⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲈϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲔⲈⲨⲞⲤ ⲈⲠⲦⲀⲒⲞ ⲈϤⲦⲞⲨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚϢⲀⲨ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲚⲎⲂ ⲈϤⲤⲈⲂⲦⲰⲦ ⲈϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈⲨ.
22 And youthful lusts do flee, do pursue now righteousness, faith, love, [and] peace along with those calling on the Lord out of pure a heart.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲚⲒⲈⲠⲒⲐⲨⲘⲒⲀ ⲚⲀⲖⲞⲨ ϨⲈⲚⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϬⲞϪⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲤⲀϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ϮⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎ ϮϨⲒⲢⲎⲚⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲰϢ ⲞⲨⲂⲈ ⲪⲢⲀⲚ ⲘⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲎⲦ ⲈϤⲦⲞⲨⲂⲎ ⲞⲨⲦ.
23 And foolish and ignorant speculations do refuse knowing that they breed quarrels;
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲚⲒⲔⲰϮ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲘⲈⲦⲤⲞϪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲘⲈⲦⲀⲦⲤⲂⲰ ϨⲈⲚⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲔⲈⲈⲘⲒ ⲈⲪⲀⲒ ϪⲈ ϢⲀⲨϪⲪⲈ ϨⲀⲚϢⲰⲚⲦ.
24 [The] bond-servant now of [the] Lord not it behooves to quarrel but gentle to be toward all, able to teach, forbearing,
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲂⲰⲔ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲤϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲢⲈϤⲘⲖⲀϦ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲢⲈⲘⲢⲀⲨϢ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲢⲈϤⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲢⲈϤⲈⲢⲀⲚⲈⲬ ⲈⲤⲐⲈ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ.
25 in gentleness disciplining those opposing, otherwise otherwise (he may give *NK(o)*) to them God repentance unto a knowledge of [the] truth,
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈⲘⲢⲀⲨϢ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦϮ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϨⲢⲀϤ ⲦⲀⲬⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ]- ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲚⲞⲒⲀ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲐⲢⲞⲨⲤⲞⲨⲈⲚ ϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ.
26 and they may recover out of the of the devil snare captured by him for his will.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲈⲢⲚⲨⲘⲪⲒⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲠⲒⲪⲀϢ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲠⲒⲆⲒⲀⲂⲞⲖⲞⲤ ϪⲞⲢϪϤ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲢⲀⲞⲨⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲈϨⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲪⲎ.
