< 2 Samuel 8 >
1 And it was after thus and he defeated David [the] Philistines and he subdued them and he took David Metheg-ammah from [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
E sucedeu depois disto que David feriu os philisteus, e os sujeitou: e David tomou a Metheg-ammah das mãos dos philisteus.
2 And he defeated Moab and he measured off them with measuring-line he made lie down them [the] ground towards and he measured off two measuring-lines to put to death and [the] fullness of measuring-line to let live and it became Moab of David servants bearing tribute.
Também feriu os moabitas, e os mediu com cordel, fazendo-os deitar por terra, e os mediu com dois cordeis para os matar, e com um cordel inteiro para os deixar em vida: ficaram assim os moabitas por servos de David, trazendo presentes.
3 And he defeated David Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah when went he to restore hand his (at [the] river Euphrates. *Q(K)*)
Feriu também David a Hadadezer, filho de Rechob, rei de Zoba, indo ele a virar a sua mão para o rio Euphrates.
4 And he captured David from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand man on foot and he hamstrung David all the chariotry and he left of it one hundred chariot[s].
E tomou-lhe David mil e seiscentos cavaleiros e vinte mil homens de pé: e David jarretou a todos os cavalos dos carros, e reservou deles cem carros.
5 And it came Aram Damascus to help Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah and he struck down David among Aram twenty and two thousand man.
E vieram os siros de Damasco a socorrer a Hadadezer, rei de Zoba: porém David feriu dos siros vinte e dois mil homens.
6 And he put David garrisons in Aram Damascus and it became Aram of David servants bearing tribute and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
E David pôs guarnições em Síria de Damasco, e os siros ficaram por servos de David, trazendo presentes: e o Senhor guardou a David por onde quer que ia.
7 And he took David [the] shields of gold which they were to [the] servants of Hadadezer and he brought them Jerusalem.
E David tomou os escudos de ouro que havia com os servos de Hadadezer, e os trouxe a Jerusalém.
8 And from Betah and from Berothai [the] cities of Hadadezer he took the king David bronze much very.
Tomou mais o rei David uma quantidade mui grande de bronze de Betah e de Berothai, cidades de Hadadezer.
9 And he heard Toi [the] king of Hamath that he had defeated David all [the] army of Hadadezer.
Ouvindo então Toi, rei de Hamath, que David ferira a todo o exército de Hadadezer,
10 And he sent Toi Joram son his to the king David to ask of him to welfare and to bless him on that he had waged war against Hadadezer and he had defeated him for man of wars of Toi he was Hadadezer and in hand his they were articles of silver and articles of gold and articles of bronze.
Mandou Toi seu filho Joram ao rei David, para lhe perguntar como estava, e para lhe dar os parabéns por haver pelejado contra Hadadezer, e por o haver ferido (porque Hadadezer de contínuo fazia guerra a Toi); e na sua mão trazia vasos de prata, e vasos de ouro, e vasos de bronze,
11 Also them he consecrated the king David to Yahweh with the silver and the gold which he had consecrated from all the nations which he had subdued.
Os quais também o rei David consagrou ao Senhor, juntamente com a prata e ouro que já havia consagrado de todas as nações que sujeitara,
12 From Aram and from Moab and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines and from Amalek and from [the] plunder of Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah.
De Síria, e de Moab, e dos filhos de Ammon, e dos philisteus, e de amalek, e dos despojos de Hadadezer, filho de Rechob, rei de Zoba.
13 And he made David a name when returned he from defeating he Aram in [the] Valley of Salt eight-teen thousand.
Também David ganhou nome, voltando ele de ferir os siros no vale do sal, a saber, a dezoito mil.
14 And he put in Edom garrisons in all Edom he put garrisons and it was all Edom servants of David and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
E pôs guarnições em Edom, em todo o Edom pôs guarnições, e todos os idumeus ficaram por servos de David: e o Senhor ajudava a David por onde quer que ia.
15 And he reigned David over all Israel and he was David doing justice and righteousness for all people his.
Reinou pois David sobre todo o Israel: e David fazia direito e justiça a todo o seu povo.
16 And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [was] over the army and Jehoshaphat [the] son of Ahilud [was] recorder.
E Joab, filho de Zeruia, era sobre o exército; e Josaphat, filho de Ahilud, era cronista.
17 And Zadok [the] son of Ahitub and Ahimelech [the] son of Abiathar [were] priests and Seraiah [was] secretary.
E Zadok, filho de Ahitub, e Ahimelek, filho de Abiathar, eram sacerdotes, e Seraias escrivão,
18 And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and the Kerethite[s] and the Pelethite[s] and [the] sons of David [were] priests they were.
Também Benaia, filho de Joiada, estava com os cheretheus e peletheus: porém os filhos de David eram príncipes.
