< 2 Samuel 8 >
1 And it was after thus and he defeated David [the] Philistines and he subdued them and he took David Metheg-ammah from [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
Dopo, Davide sconfisse i Filistei e li sottomise e tolse di mano ai Filistei Gat e le sue dipendenze.
2 And he defeated Moab and he measured off them with measuring-line he made lie down them [the] ground towards and he measured off two measuring-lines to put to death and [the] fullness of measuring-line to let live and it became Moab of David servants bearing tribute.
Sconfisse anche i Moabiti e, facendoli coricare per terra, li misurò con la corda; ne misurò due corde per farli mettere a morte e una corda intera per lasciarli in vita. I Moabiti divennero sudditi di Davide, a lui tributari.
3 And he defeated David Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah when went he to restore hand his (at [the] river Euphrates. *Q(K)*)
Davide sconfisse anche Hadad-Ezer, figlio di Recòb, re di Zobà, mentre egli andava ad estendere il dominio sul fiume Eufrate.
4 And he captured David from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand man on foot and he hamstrung David all the chariotry and he left of it one hundred chariot[s].
Davide gli prese millesettecento combattenti sui carri e ventimila fanti: tagliò i garretti a tutte le pariglie di cavalli, riservandone soltanto cento.
5 And it came Aram Damascus to help Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah and he struck down David among Aram twenty and two thousand man.
Quando gli Aramei di Damasco vennero per soccorrere Hadad-Ezer, re di Zobà, Davide ne uccise ventiduemila.
6 And he put David garrisons in Aram Damascus and it became Aram of David servants bearing tribute and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
Poi Davide stabilì guarnigioni nell'Aram di Damasco e gli Aramei divennero sudditi di Davide e a lui tributari. Il Signore rendeva vittorioso Davide dovunque egli andava.
7 And he took David [the] shields of gold which they were to [the] servants of Hadadezer and he brought them Jerusalem.
Davide tolse ai servitori di Hadad-Ezer i loro scudi d'oro e li portò a Gerusalemme.
8 And from Betah and from Berothai [the] cities of Hadadezer he took the king David bronze much very.
Il re Davide prese anche grande quantità di rame a Bètach e a Berotài, città di Hadad-Ezer.
9 And he heard Toi [the] king of Hamath that he had defeated David all [the] army of Hadadezer.
Quando Toù, re di Amat, seppe che Davide aveva sconfitto tutto l'esercito di Hadad-Ezer,
10 And he sent Toi Joram son his to the king David to ask of him to welfare and to bless him on that he had waged war against Hadadezer and he had defeated him for man of wars of Toi he was Hadadezer and in hand his they were articles of silver and articles of gold and articles of bronze.
mandò al re Davide suo figlio Adduràm per salutarlo e per benedirlo perché aveva mosso guerra a Hadad-Ezer e l'aveva sconfitto; infatti Hadad-Ezer era sempre in guerra con Toù. Adduràm gli portò vasi d'argento, vasi d'oro e vasi di rame.
11 Also them he consecrated the king David to Yahweh with the silver and the gold which he had consecrated from all the nations which he had subdued.
Il re Davide consacrò anche quelli al Signore, come gia aveva consacrato l'argento e l'oro tolto alle nazioni che aveva soggiogate,
12 From Aram and from Moab and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines and from Amalek and from [the] plunder of Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah.
agli Aramei, ai Moabiti, agli Ammoniti, ai Filistei, agli Amaleciti, e come aveva fatto del bottino di Hadad-Ezer figlio di Recòb, re di Zobà.
13 And he made David a name when returned he from defeating he Aram in [the] Valley of Salt eight-teen thousand.
Al ritorno dalla sua vittoria sugli Aramei, Davide acquistò ancora fama, sconfiggendo nella Valle del Sale diciottomila Idumei.
14 And he put in Edom garrisons in all Edom he put garrisons and it was all Edom servants of David and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
Stabilì guarnigioni in Idumea; ne mise per tutta l'Idumea e tutti gli Idumei divennero sudditi di Davide; il Signore rendeva vittorioso Davide dovunque egli andava.
15 And he reigned David over all Israel and he was David doing justice and righteousness for all people his.
Davide regnò su tutto Israele e pronunziava giudizi e faceva giustizia a tutto il suo popolo.
16 And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [was] over the army and Jehoshaphat [the] son of Ahilud [was] recorder.
Ioab figlio di Zeruià comandava l'esercito; Giosafat figlio di Achilùd era archivista;
17 And Zadok [the] son of Ahitub and Ahimelech [the] son of Abiathar [were] priests and Seraiah [was] secretary.
Zadòk figlio di Achitùb e Achimèlech figlio di Ebiatàr erano sacerdoti; Seraià era segretario,
18 And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and the Kerethite[s] and the Pelethite[s] and [the] sons of David [were] priests they were.
Benaià, figlio di Ioiadà, era capo dei Cretei e dei Peletei e i figli di Davide erano ministri.
