2 Samuel 8
1 And it was after thus and he defeated David [the] Philistines and he subdued them and he took David Metheg-ammah from [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
Ezek után megveré Dávid a Filiszteusokat, és megalázá őket: és elfoglalá Dávid a Filiszteusok kezéből Méteg Ammát.
2 And he defeated Moab and he measured off them with measuring-line he made lie down them [the] ground towards and he measured off two measuring-lines to put to death and [the] fullness of measuring-line to let live and it became Moab of David servants bearing tribute.
És megveré a Moábitákat is, és kötéllel méré meg őket, lefektetvén őket a földre; két kötéllel méré azokat, a kik megölendők, és egy teljes kötéllel azokat, a kik életben hagyandók valának; és a Moábiták Dávidnak adófizető szolgái lőnek.
3 And he defeated David Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah when went he to restore hand his (at [the] river Euphrates. *Q(K)*)
Megveré Dávid Hadadézert is, Réhóbnak fiát, Czóbának királyát, mikor elméne, hogy hatalmát kiterjessze az Eufrátes folyó vizéig.
4 And he captured David from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand man on foot and he hamstrung David all the chariotry and he left of it one hundred chariot[s].
És foglyul ejtett Dávid közülök ezer és hétszáz lovagot, és húszezer gyalog embert; és inaikat elvagdaltatá Dávid minden szekeres lovaknak és csak száz szekérbe valót hagyott meg közülök.
5 And it came Aram Damascus to help Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah and he struck down David among Aram twenty and two thousand man.
Eljövének pedig a Siriabeliek Damaskusból, hogy megsegítsék Hadadézert, Czóbának királyát; és levága Dávid a Siriabeliek közül huszonkétezer férfit.
6 And he put David garrisons in Aram Damascus and it became Aram of David servants bearing tribute and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
És helyeze Dávid állandó sereget a damaskusi Siriába; és a Siriabeliek Dávidnak adófizető szolgái lettek. És megoltalmazá az Úr Dávidot valahová megyen vala.
7 And he took David [the] shields of gold which they were to [the] servants of Hadadezer and he brought them Jerusalem.
És elvevé Dávid az arany paizsokat is, melyek Hadadézer szolgáin valának, és bevivé azokat Jeruzsálembe.
8 And from Betah and from Berothai [the] cities of Hadadezer he took the king David bronze much very.
Hoza annakfelette Dávid király a Hadadézer városaiból, Bétákhból és Berótaiból felette igen sok rezet.
9 And he heard Toi [the] king of Hamath that he had defeated David all [the] army of Hadadezer.
Mikor pedig meghallá Tói, Hamát királya, hogy megverte Dávid Hadadézernek minden seregeit;
10 And he sent Toi Joram son his to the king David to ask of him to welfare and to bless him on that he had waged war against Hadadezer and he had defeated him for man of wars of Toi he was Hadadezer and in hand his they were articles of silver and articles of gold and articles of bronze.
Küldé Tói Jórámot, az ő fiát Dávid királyhoz, hogy békességesen köszöntse őt, és áldja, hogy harczolt Hadadézer ellen és megverte őt (mert Hadadézer Tóival is hadakozik vala). És a Tói fia kezében aranyból, ezüstből és rézből való edények valának,
11 Also them he consecrated the king David to Yahweh with the silver and the gold which he had consecrated from all the nations which he had subdued.
Melyeket Dávid király az Úrnak szentele, azzal az ezüsttel és aranynyal együtt, a melyet az Úrnak szentele mind ama népektől, a kiket meghódoltatott;
12 From Aram and from Moab and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines and from Amalek and from [the] plunder of Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah.
A Siriabeliektől, Moábitáktól, az Ammon fiaitól, a Filiszteusoktól, az Amálekitáktól és a Réhób fiától, Hadadézertől, Czóbának királyától nyert prédából.
13 And he made David a name when returned he from defeating he Aram in [the] Valley of Salt eight-teen thousand.
És hírnevet szerze Dávid, a mikor visszatért, miután a Siriabelieket leverte a sós völgyben, tizennyolczezeret.
14 And he put in Edom garrisons in all Edom he put garrisons and it was all Edom servants of David and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
Az Idumeusok közé is állandó sereget rendele, egész Idumeába állandó sereget rendele, és az Idumeusok mind Dávid szolgái lettek. És megoltalmazá az Úr Dávidot, valahová megyen vala.
15 And he reigned David over all Israel and he was David doing justice and righteousness for all people his.
Uralkodék azért Dávid az egész Izráelen, és szolgáltat vala Dávid az egész nép között ítéletet és igazságot.
16 And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [was] over the army and Jehoshaphat [the] son of Ahilud [was] recorder.
Fővezére volt Joáb, Sérujának fia, Jósafát pedig, Ahiludnak fia, emlékíró vala.
17 And Zadok [the] son of Ahitub and Ahimelech [the] son of Abiathar [were] priests and Seraiah [was] secretary.
Sádók pedig, Akhitóbnak fia, és Akhimélek, Abjátárnak fia papok valának, és Sérája íródeák.
18 And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and the Kerethite[s] and the Pelethite[s] and [the] sons of David [were] priests they were.
Benája Jéhójadának fia, a Kereteusok és Peleteusok előljárója, a Dávid fiai pedig fők valának.
