2 Samuel 8
1 And it was after thus and he defeated David [the] Philistines and he subdued them and he took David Metheg-ammah from [the] hand of [the] Philistines.

2 And he defeated Moab and he measured off them with measuring-line he made lie down them [the] ground towards and he measured off two measuring-lines to put to death and [the] fullness of measuring-line to let live and it became Moab of David servants bearing tribute.
Lèfini li bat moun peyi Moab yo. Li fè prizonye yo kouche plat atè. Pou chak twa ladan yo, li touye de, li kite yonn vivan. Depi lè sa a moun peyi Moab yo soumèt devan David nèt. Li fè yo peye taks ba li chak lè.
3 And he defeated David Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah when went he to restore hand his (at [the] river Euphrates. *Q(K)*)
Apre sa, li bat Adadezè, pitit gason Reyòb, wa peyi Zoba a, ki t'ap mache pran zòn ki sou anwo larivyè Lefrat la.
4 And he captured David from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand man on foot and he hamstrung David all the chariotry and he left of it one hundred chariot[s].
David pran mil sètsan (1700) kavalye nan lame wa Adadezè a, li fè yo prizonye ansanm ak venmil (20.000) sòlda ki t'ap mache apye. Lè li fin wete kont chwal pou san cha lagè, li fè koupe jarèt tout rès chwal yo.
5 And it came Aram Damascus to help Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah and he struck down David among Aram twenty and two thousand man.
Moun peyi Siri ki te rete lavil Damas yo voye yon lame pou pote Adadezè, wa peyi Zoba a, konkou. David atake yo, li bat yo tou. Li touye venndemil (22.000) sòlda.
6 And he put David garrisons in Aram Damascus and it became Aram of David servants bearing tribute and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
Apre sa, David mete kèk ganizon sòlda pa l' nan teritwa Damas la. Moun peyi Siri yo soumèt devan li. Li fè yo peye l' taks chak lè. Se konsa, Seyè a te fè David genyen tout batay kote l' pase.
7 And he took David [the] shields of gold which they were to [the] servants of Hadadezer and he brought them Jerusalem.
David sezi tout gwo plak pwotèj an fè chèf lame wa Adadezè yo, li pote yo lavil Jerizalèm.
8 And from Betah and from Berothai [the] cities of Hadadezer he took the king David bronze much very.
Li pran yon gwo kantite kwiv li te jwenn lavil Beta ak lavil Bewotayi, ki te pou Adadezè.
9 And he heard Toi [the] king of Hamath that he had defeated David all [the] army of Hadadezer.
Lè Tòy, wa lavil Amat la, tande jan David te kraze tout lame Adadezè a,
10 And he sent Toi Joram son his to the king David to ask of him to welfare and to bless him on that he had waged war against Hadadezer and he had defeated him for man of wars of Toi he was Hadadezer and in hand his they were articles of silver and articles of gold and articles of bronze.
li voye pitit li, Joram, al wè David pou di l' bonjou epi pou fè l' konpliman dèske li te bat Adadezè, paske Tòy te toutan ap fè lagè ak Adadezè. Joram te pote kado fèt an lò, an ajan ak an kwiv bay David.
11 Also them he consecrated the king David to Yahweh with the silver and the gold which he had consecrated from all the nations which he had subdued.
Wa David pran tout bagay sa yo, li mete yo apa pou sèvis Seyè a ansanm ak tout lò ak ajan li te pran lakay moun lòt nasyon li te fè soumèt devan li,
12 From Aram and from Moab and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines and from Amalek and from [the] plunder of Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah.
ki vle di moun peyi Edon, moun peyi Moab, moun peyi Amon, moun peyi Filisti ak moun peyi Amalèk. Li fè menm bagay la tou ak tou sa li te pran apre lagè ak Adadezè, pitit Reyòb, wa Zoba a.
13 And he made David a name when returned he from defeating he Aram in [the] Valley of Salt eight-teen thousand.
Non David te nan bouch tout moun pi rèd toujou, lè li te fin touye dizwitmil (18.000) moun peyi Edon nan fon Sèl la.
14 And he put in Edom garrisons in all Edom he put garrisons and it was all Edom servants of David and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
Li mete kèk ganizon sòlda pa l' nan teritwa Edon an. Moun Edon yo soumèt devan li. Li fè yo peye l' taks chak lè. Se konsa Seyè a te fè David genyen tout batay kote l' pase.
15 And he reigned David over all Israel and he was David doing justice and righteousness for all people his.
David t'ap gouvènen tout pèp Izrayèl la. Li te fè tout moun jistis san patipri. Li te fè tout zafè l' dwat.
16 And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [was] over the army and Jehoshaphat [the] son of Ahilud [was] recorder.
Joab, pitit gason Sewouya a, te kòmandan lame a. Jozafa, pitit gason Akiloud la, te reskonsab achiv yo.
17 And Zadok [the] son of Ahitub and Ahimelech [the] son of Abiathar [were] priests and Seraiah [was] secretary.
Zadòk, pitit gason Akitoub la, ak Akimelèk, pitit gason Abyata a, te prèt. Seraja te sekretè.
18 And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and the Kerethite[s] and the Pelethite[s] and [the] sons of David [were] priests they were.
