2 Samuel 8
1 And it was after thus and he defeated David [the] Philistines and he subdued them and he took David Metheg-ammah from [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
Patapita nthawi, Davide anagonjetsa Afilisti ndi kuwapambana ndipo analanda Metegi Ama kuchoka mʼmanja mwa Afilistiwo.
2 And he defeated Moab and he measured off them with measuring-line he made lie down them [the] ground towards and he measured off two measuring-lines to put to death and [the] fullness of measuring-line to let live and it became Moab of David servants bearing tribute.
Davide anagonjetsanso Amowabu. Iye anawalamula kuti agone pansi mʼmizere itatu pa gulu lililonse ndipo anawayeza ndi chingwe. Pa gulu lililonse ankapha anthu amene anali pa mizere iwiri yoyamba, kusiyapo mzere wachitatu. Kotero Amowabu anakhala pansi pa ulamuliro wa Davide ndipo ankapereka msonkho.
3 And he defeated David Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah when went he to restore hand his (at [the] river Euphrates. *Q(K)*)
Komanso Davide anagonjetsa Hadadezeri mwana wa Rehobu, mfumu ya Zoba, pamene anapita kukakhazikitsa ulamuliro wake mʼmbali mwa mtsinje wa Yufurate.
4 And he captured David from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand man on foot and he hamstrung David all the chariotry and he left of it one hundred chariot[s].
Davide analanda magaleta 1,000, anthu 7,000 okwera magaleta pamodzi ndi asilikali oyenda pansi 20,000. Iye anadula mitsempha ya akavalo onse okoka magaleta, koma anasiyapo akavalo 100 okha.
5 And it came Aram Damascus to help Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah and he struck down David among Aram twenty and two thousand man.
Aramu wa ku Damasiko atabwera kudzathandiza Hadadezeri mfumu ya Zoba, Davide anakantha asilikali 22,000.
6 And he put David garrisons in Aram Damascus and it became Aram of David servants bearing tribute and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
Iye anakhazikitsa maboma mu ufumu wa Aramu wa ku Damasiko, ndipo Aaramu anakhala pansi pa ulamuliro wake ndipo ankapereka msonkho. Yehova ankamupatsa chipambano Davide kulikonse kumene ankapita.
7 And he took David [the] shields of gold which they were to [the] servants of Hadadezer and he brought them Jerusalem.
Davide anatenga zishango zagolide za akuluakulu ankhondo a Hadadezeri ndi kubwera nazo ku Yerusalemu.
8 And from Betah and from Berothai [the] cities of Hadadezer he took the king David bronze much very.
Mfumu Davide inatenga mkuwa wambiri kuchokera ku Beta ndi Berotai, mizinda ya Hadadezeri.
9 And he heard Toi [the] king of Hamath that he had defeated David all [the] army of Hadadezer.
Tou, mfumu ya Hamati atamva kuti Davide wagonjetsa gulu lonse lankhondo la Hadadezeri,
10 And he sent Toi Joram son his to the king David to ask of him to welfare and to bless him on that he had waged war against Hadadezer and he had defeated him for man of wars of Toi he was Hadadezer and in hand his they were articles of silver and articles of gold and articles of bronze.
anatumiza mwana wake Yoramu kwa mfumu Davide kukamulonjera ndi kukamuyamikira chifukwa cha kupambana kwake pa nkhondo yake ndi Hadadezeriyo, amene analinso pa nkhondo ndi Tou. Yoramu anabweretsa ziwiya zasiliva, zagolide ndi zamkuwa.
11 Also them he consecrated the king David to Yahweh with the silver and the gold which he had consecrated from all the nations which he had subdued.
Mfumu Davide inapereka zinthu zimenezi kwa Yehova, monga anachitira ndi siliva ndi golide zochokera ku mayiko onse amene anawagonjetsa:
12 From Aram and from Moab and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines and from Amalek and from [the] plunder of Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah.
Edomu ndi Mowabu, Aamoni ndi Afilisti, ndi Aamaleki. Iye anaperekanso zolanda ku nkhondo zochokera kwa Hadadezeri mwana wa Rehobu, mfumu ya Zoba.
13 And he made David a name when returned he from defeating he Aram in [the] Valley of Salt eight-teen thousand.
Ndipo Davide anatchuka atabwera kokakantha Aedomu 18,000 mu Chigwa cha Mchere.
14 And he put in Edom garrisons in all Edom he put garrisons and it was all Edom servants of David and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
Iye anayika maboma mʼdera lonse la Edomu, ndipo Aedomu onse anakhala pansi pa Davide. Yehova ankapambanitsa Davide kulikonse kumene ankapita.
15 And he reigned David over all Israel and he was David doing justice and righteousness for all people his.
Davide analamulira dziko lonse la Israeli ndipo ankachita zonse mwachilungamo ndi molondola pamaso pa anthu ake onse.
16 And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [was] over the army and Jehoshaphat [the] son of Ahilud [was] recorder.
Yowabu mwana wa Zeruya anali mkulu wa ankhondo; Yehosafati mwana wa Ahiludi anali mlembi wa zochitika.
17 And Zadok [the] son of Ahitub and Ahimelech [the] son of Abiathar [were] priests and Seraiah [was] secretary.
Zadoki mwana wa Ahitubi ndi Ahimeleki mwana wa Abiatara anali ansembe; Seraya anali mlembi;
18 And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and the Kerethite[s] and the Pelethite[s] and [the] sons of David [were] priests they were.
Benaya mwana wa Yehoyada anali mtsogoleri wa Akereti ndi Apeleti; ndipo ana a Davide anali ansembe.
