< 2 Samuel 3 >

1 And it was the war long between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and David [was] going and strong and [the] house of Saul [were] going and weak.
2 (And they were born *Q(K)*) to David sons in Hebron and he was firstborn his Amnon of Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman].
A i whanau etahi tama ma Rawiri ki Heperona: ko Amanono tana matamua, na Ahinoama Ietereeri;
3 And [was] second his Kileab (of Abigail *Q(k)*) [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite and [was] the third Absalom [the] son of Maacah [the] daughter of Talmai [the] king of Geshur.
Ko Kireapa ano tana tuarua, na Apikaira wahine a Napara Karameri; ko Apoharama te tuatoru, he tama na Maaka tamahine a Taramai kingi o Kehuru;
4 And [was] the fourth Adonijah [the] son of Haggith and [was] the fifth Shephatiah [the] son of Abital.
Na ko Aronia te tuawha, he tama na Hakiti; a ko Hepatia te tuarima, he tama na Apitara;
5 And [was] the sixth Ithream of Eglah [the] wife of David these they were born to David in Hebron.
Ko Itireama te tuaono, na Ekera wahine a Rawiri. I whanau enei ki a Rawiri ki Heperona.
6 And it was when was war between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and Abner he was strengthening himself in [the] house of Saul.
A i te mea e whawha ana te whare o Haora ki te whare o Rawiri, na ka mea a Apanere i a ia ano kia kaha i roto i te whare o Haora.
7 And [belonged] to Saul a concubine and name her [was] Rizpah [the] daughter of Aiah and he said to Abner why? have you gone into [the] concubine of father my.
Na he wahine iti ta Haora i mua, ko Ritipa te ingoa, he tamahine na Aia: na ka mea a Ihipohete ki a Apanere, He aha koe i haere ai ki roto, ki te wahine a toku papa?
8 And it burned to Abner exceedingly on [the] words of Ish-bosheth and he said ¿ [the] head of a dog [am] I which [belongs] to Judah this day I show loyalty with [the] house of - Saul father your to brothers his and to friend[s] his and not I have delivered you in [the] hand of David and you have visited on me [the] guilt of the woman this day.
Katahi ka mura rawa te riri o Apanere i nga kupu a Ihipohete, ka mea, He upoko kuri koia ahau no Hura? e atawhai nei ahau i tenei ra i te whare o Haora, o tou papa, i ona teina, i ona whanaunga, kihai hoki i tuku i a koe ki te ringa o Rawiri, heo i e whakahe nei koe i ahau inaianei mo tenei wahine.
9 Thus may he do God to Abner and thus may he add to him if just as he swore Yahweh to David that so I will do for him.
Kia meatia tenei e te Atua ki a Apanere, me etahi atu mea ano, ki te kahore ahau e mea i tena ki a Rawiri, pera i ta Ihowa i oati ai ki a ia;
10 To take away the kingdom from [the] house of Saul and to establish [the] throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan and to Beer Sheba.
Hei whakawhiti atu i te kingitanga i te whare o Haora, hei whakapumau hoki i te torona o Rawiri i roto i a Iharaira, i roto i a Hura, mai i Rana a Peerehepa atu ana.
11 And not he was able again to bring back Abner a word because feared he him.
A kihai i taea e ia te whakahoki kupu ki a Apanere, i wehi hoki ia i a ia.
12 And he sent Abner messengers - to David (in place of himself *Q(K)*) saying [belongs] to whom? [the] land saying make! covenant your with me and here! hand my [will be] with you to bring round to you all Israel.
Na ka unga karere a Apanere ki a Rawiri, he mea nana ake, hei ki atu, No wai te whenua? hei mea hoki, Whakaritea tau kawenata ki ahau, nana, ko toku ringa hoki ki a koe hei mea i a Iharaira katoa kia anga ki a koe.
13 And he said good I I will make with you a covenant only a thing one I [am] asking from with you saying not you will see face my for - except before bring you Michal [the] daughter of Saul when coming you to see face my.
Na ka mea tera, E pai ana; me whakarite kawenata ahau ki a koe: kotahi ano ia taku mea e tono ai ahau i a koe, ara e kore koe e kite i toku mata, ki te kahore e kawea mai e koe a Mikara tamahine a Haora, ina haere mai koe kia kite i toku mata.
14 And he sent David messengers to Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul saying give! wife my Michal whom I betrothed to myself for a hundred foreskins of Philistines.
I unga karere ano a Rawiri ki a Ihipohete tama a Haora, hei mea, Homai taku wahine a Mikara i taumautia e ahau maku ki nga kiri matamata kotahi rau o nga Pirihitini.
15 And he sent Ish-bosheth and he took her from with a husband from with Paltiel [the] son of (Laish. *Q(K)*)
Na ka unga tangata a Ihipohete ki te tango i a ia i tana tahu i a Paratiere tama a Raihi.
16 And he went with her husband her going and weeping after her to Bahurim and he said to him Abner go return and he returned.
I haere tahi ano tana tahu i a ia, me te tangi haere i muri i a ia, a tae noa ki Pahurimi. Na ka mea a Apanere ki a ia, Haere, e hoki. A hoki ana ia.
17 And [the] word of Abner it was with [the] elders of Israel saying both yesterday as well as [the] third day you were seeking David to king over you.
Na ka korero a Apanere ki nga kaumatua o Iharaira, ka mea, I rapu koutou i a Rawiri i mua ake nei hei kingi mo koutou.
18 And therefore act for Yahweh he has spoken to David saying by [the] hand of - David servant my to deliver people my Israel from [the] hand of [the] Philistines and from [the] hand of all enemies their.
19 And he spoke also Abner in [the] ears of Benjamin and he went also Abner to speak in [the] ears of David at Hebron all that it was good in [the] eyes of Israel and in [the] eyes of all [the] house of Benjamin.
20 And he came Abner to David Hebron and [were] with him twenty men and he made David for Abner and for [the] men who [were] with him a feast.
Heoi ka haere a Apanere ki a Rawiri ki Heperona, e rua tekau hoki tangata ona hoa. A tukua ana e Rawiri he hakari ma Apanere ratou ko ona hoa.
21 And he said Abner to David let me arise - and let me go and let me gather to lord my the king all Israel so they may make with you a covenant and you will reign over all that it desires self your and he sent away David Abner and he went in peace.
Na ka mea a Apanere ki a Rawiri, Ka whakatika ahau, ka haere, a ka huihui mai i a Iharaira katoa ki toku ariki, ki te kingi; a ma ratou e whakarite kawenata ki a koe, a hei kingi koe mo nga mea katoa e hiahia ai tou wairua. Na tukua atu ana a Ap anere e Rawiri, a haere marie ana ia.
22 And there! [the] servants of David and Joab [was] coming from the raid and plunder much with them they had brought and Abner not he [was] with David in Hebron for he had sent away him and he had gone in peace.
Na ko te haerenga mai o nga tangata a Rawiri ratou ko Ioapa i te whai taua, he nui ano nga taonga i kawea mai e ratou: ko Apanere ia kahore i a Rawiri i Heperona; i tukua atu hoki ia, a haere marie ana.
23 And Joab and all the army which [was] with him they came and people told to Joab saying he came Abner [the] son of Ner to the king and he has sent away him and he has gone in peace.
A, no te taenga mai o Ioapa ratou ko tana ope katoa, ka korerotia te korero ki a Ioapa, I haere mai a Apanere tama a Nere ki te kingi; a tukua atu ana ia e ia, a haere marie ana ia.
24 And he went Joab to the king and he said what? have you done here! he came Abner to you why? this did you send away him and he has gone completely.
Na ka haere a Ioapa ki te kingi, a ka mea, He mahi aha tenei au? Nana, i haere mai a Apanere ki a koe: he aha ia i tukua atu ai e koe, a kua haere noa atu ia?
25 You know Abner [the] son of Ner that to deceive you he came and to know exit your and (entrance your *Q(K)*) and to know all that you [are] doing.
E mohio ana koe ki a Apanere tama a Nere; i haere mai ia ki te tinihanga i a koe, kia mohio ai ia ki tou haerenga atu, ki tou haerenga mai, kia mohio ai hoki ki nga mea katoa e mea ai koe.
26 And he went out Joab from with David and he sent messengers after Abner and they brought back him from [the] Cistern of Sirah and David not he knew.
27 And he returned Abner Hebron and he turned aside him Joab into [the] middle of the gate (to speak *LA(bh)*) with him in quietness and he struck him there the belly and he died for [the] blood Asah-el brother his.
28 And he heard David from after thus and he said [am] innocent I and kingdom my from with Yahweh until perpetuity from [the] blood of Abner [the] son of Ner.
A, no te rongonga o Rawiri i muri iho, ka mea, Kahore he hara oku, o toku kingitanga, i nga toto o Apanere tama a Nere i te aroaro o Ihowa a ake ake.
29 Let them whirl over [the] head of Joab and to all [the] house of father his and may not he be cut off from [the] house of Joab [one who] suffers a discharge and [one who] has a skin disease and [one who] takes hold on the spindle and [one who] falls by the sword and [one] lacking of bread.
30 And Joab and Abishai brother his they killed Abner on that he had killed Asahel brother their at Gibeon in the battle.
Heoi patua iho a Apanere e Ioapa raua ko Apihai, ko tona teina, hei utu mo to raua teina, mo Atahere, i whakamatea nei e ia ki Kipeono i te tatauranga.
31 And he said David to Joab and to all the people which [was] with him tear garments your and gird yourselves sackcloth and mourn before Abner and the king David [was] walking after the bier.
32 And they buried Abner in Hebron and he lifted up the king voice his and he wept to [the] grave of Abner and they wept all the people.
33 And he lamented the king because of Abner and he said ¿ like [the] death of a fool will he die Abner.
34 Hand your not [were] bound and feet your not to bronze fetters they were brought near as falls before sons of injustice you have fallen and they repeated all the people to weep on him.
35 And it came all the people to make to eat David bread while still day and he swore an oath David saying thus may he do to me God and thus may he add that except before goes the sun I will taste bread or all anything.
Na ka haere mai te iwi katoa ki te mea i a Rawiri kia kai i te mea e awatea ana ano. Na ka oati a Rawiri, ka mea, Kia meatia mai tenei e te Atua ki ahau, me etahi atu mea ano, ki te pa ahau ki te taro, ki tetahi atu mea ranei, i te mea kahore an o i to noa te ra.
36 And all the people they paid regard and it was good in view their like all that he did the king in [the] eyes of all the people it was good.
Na ka mohio te iwi katoa, a pai tonu ki ta ratou titiro; pera tonu me nga mea katoa i meatia e te kingi, he pai kau ki te titiro a te iwi katoa.
37 And they knew all the people and all Israel on the day that that not it was from the king to kill Abner [the] son of Ner.
Na ka matau te iwi katoa ratou ko Iharaira katoa i taua ra ehara i te kingi nana i mea kia whakamatea a Apanere tama a Nere.
38 And he said the king to servants his ¿ not do you know that a leader and a great [man] he has fallen the day this in Israel.
I mea hoki te kingi ki ana tangata, Kahore ianei koutou i matau, he rangatira, he tangata nui, kua hinga nei inaianei i roto i a Iharaira?
39 And I this day [am] weak and [am] anointed king and the men these [the] sons of Zeruiah [are too] hard for me may he repay Yahweh to [the] doer of the evil according to evil his.
Ko ahau hoki, ahakoa i whakawahia hei kingi, iwikore ana i tenei ra; he maro rawa moku enei tangata, nga tama a Teruia.
