< 2 Samuel 3 >
1 And it was the war long between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and David [was] going and strong and [the] house of Saul [were] going and weak.
Awo ne wabangawo entalo wakati w’ennyumba ya Sawulo n’ennyumba ya Dawudi okumala ebbanga ddene. Dawudi n’akulaakulana, n’aba w’amaanyi, naye ennyumba ya Sawulo ne yeeyongeranga okunafuwa.
2 (And they were born *Q(K)*) to David sons in Hebron and he was firstborn his Amnon of Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman].
Dawudi n’azaalirwa abaana aboobulenzi e Kebbulooni. Omuggulanda yali Amunoni eyazaalibwa Akinoamu Omuyezuleeri,
3 And [was] second his Kileab (of Abigail *Q(k)*) [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite and [was] the third Absalom [the] son of Maacah [the] daughter of Talmai [the] king of Geshur.
owookubiri yali Kireyaabu eyazaalibwa Abbigayiri nnamwandu wa Nabali Omukalumeeri, n’owookusatu yali Abusaalomu eyazaalibwa Maaka muwala wa Talumaayi kabaka w’e Gesuli;
4 And [was] the fourth Adonijah [the] son of Haggith and [was] the fifth Shephatiah [the] son of Abital.
n’owookuna yali Adoniya eyazaalibwa Kaggisi, n’owokutaano yali Sefatiya eyazaalibwa Abitali;
5 And [was] the sixth Ithream of Eglah [the] wife of David these they were born to David in Hebron.
n’ow’omukaaga yali Isuleyamu, eyazaalibwa Egula mukyala wa Dawudi. Abo be baazaalirwa Dawudi mu Kebbulooni.
6 And it was when was war between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and Abner he was strengthening himself in [the] house of Saul.
Entalo n’enkaayana nga zikyagenda mu maaso wakati w’ennyumba ya Sawulo n’ennyumba ya Dawudi, Abuneeri n’anyweza ekifo kye mu nnyumba ya Sawulo.
7 And [belonged] to Saul a concubine and name her [was] Rizpah [the] daughter of Aiah and he said to Abner why? have you gone into [the] concubine of father my.
Sawulo yalina omuzaana erinnya lye Lizupa muwala wa Aya. Isubosesi n’abuuza Abuneeri nti, “Lwaki weetaba n’omuzaana wa kitange?”
8 And it burned to Abner exceedingly on [the] words of Ish-bosheth and he said ¿ [the] head of a dog [am] I which [belongs] to Judah this day I show loyalty with [the] house of - Saul father your to brothers his and to friend[s] his and not I have delivered you in [the] hand of David and you have visited on me [the] guilt of the woman this day.
Awo Abuneeri n’asunguwala nnyo olw’ekigambo Isubosesi kye yamugamba, n’amuddamu nti, “Nze mutwe gw’embwa ya Yuda? Mbadde wa kisa eri ennyumba ya kitaawo Sawulo, n’eri baganda be, ne mikwano gye, ne sibawaayo mu mukono gwa Dawudi. Kaakano onteekako omusango olw’omukazi oyo.
9 Thus may he do God to Abner and thus may he add to him if just as he swore Yahweh to David that so I will do for him.
Katonda akole Abuneeri bw’atyo n’okukirawo, bwe siituukirize ekyo Mukama kye yalayirira Dawudi,
10 To take away the kingdom from [the] house of Saul and to establish [the] throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan and to Beer Sheba.
okuggya obwakabaka ku nnyumba ya Sawulo, n’okunyweza entebe ey’obwakabaka eya Dawudi okufuga Isirayiri ne Yuda okuva ku Ddaani okutuuka e Beeruseba.”
11 And not he was able again to bring back Abner a word because feared he him.
Isubosesi n’ataŋŋaanga kwanukula Abuneeri kigambo kirala, olw’okumutya.
12 And he sent Abner messengers - to David (in place of himself *Q(K)*) saying [belongs] to whom? [the] land saying make! covenant your with me and here! hand my [will be] with you to bring round to you all Israel.
Awo Abuneeri n’atumira Dawudi ababaka okumugamba nti, “Ensi y’ani? Kola endagaano nange, laba nnaafuula Isirayiri yonna okuba eyiyo.”
13 And he said good I I will make with you a covenant only a thing one I [am] asking from with you saying not you will see face my for - except before bring you Michal [the] daughter of Saul when coming you to see face my.
Dawudi n’ayogera nti, “Kirungi. Nzija okukola endagaano naawe. Naye ekintu kimu kye nkusaba. Tojja mu maaso gange okuggyako ng’ojja ne Mikali muwala wa Sawulo, ng’ojja okundaba.”
14 And he sent David messengers to Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul saying give! wife my Michal whom I betrothed to myself for a hundred foreskins of Philistines.
Awo Dawudi n’atumira Isubosesi mutabani wa Sawulo ababaka ng’agamba nti, “Mpa mukyala wange Mikali gwe nayogereza n’ebikuta ekikumi eby’Abafirisuuti.”
15 And he sent Ish-bosheth and he took her from with a husband from with Paltiel [the] son of (Laish. *Q(K)*)
Amangwago Isubosesi n’alagira, bamuggye ku bba Palutiyeri mutabani wa Layisi.
16 And he went with her husband her going and weeping after her to Bahurim and he said to him Abner go return and he returned.
Naye bba we n’abagoberera, nga bw’akaaba okutuukira ddala, e Bakulimu. Abuneeri n’amugamba nti, “Ddayo eka. N’addayo.”
17 And [the] word of Abner it was with [the] elders of Israel saying both yesterday as well as [the] third day you were seeking David to king over you.
Abuneeri n’ateesa n’abakadde ba Isirayiri, n’abagamba nti, “Mumaze ebbanga nga mwagala okufuula Dawudi kabaka wammwe.
18 And therefore act for Yahweh he has spoken to David saying by [the] hand of - David servant my to deliver people my Israel from [the] hand of [the] Philistines and from [the] hand of all enemies their.
Kaakano mukituukirize, kubanga Mukama yasuubiza Dawudi nti, ‘Ndirokola abantu bange Isirayiri okuva mu mukono gw’Abafirisuuti ne mu mukono gw’abalabe baabwe bonna, nga nkozesa omuddu wange Dawudi.’”
19 And he spoke also Abner in [the] ears of Benjamin and he went also Abner to speak in [the] ears of David at Hebron all that it was good in [the] eyes of Israel and in [the] eyes of all [the] house of Benjamin.
Abuneeri n’agenda n’eri Ababenyamini n’ayogera nabo, n’oluvannyuma n’agenda n’ategeeza Dawudi e Kebbulooni, ebyo byonna Isirayiri n’ennyumba ya Benyamini bye baasalawo okukola.
20 And he came Abner to David Hebron and [were] with him twenty men and he made David for Abner and for [the] men who [were] with him a feast.
Awo Abuneeri n’agenda n’abasajja amakumi abiri ewa Dawudi e Kebbulooni, Dawudi n’abategekera embaga nnene.
21 And he said Abner to David let me arise - and let me go and let me gather to lord my the king all Israel so they may make with you a covenant and you will reign over all that it desires self your and he sent away David Abner and he went in peace.
Abuneeri n’agamba Dawudi nti, “Ka ŋŋenderewo mukama wange Kabaka, nkuŋŋaanye Isirayiri yenna, bakole endagaano naawe, obafuge ng’omutima gwo bwe gunaasiima.” Awo Dawudi n’asindika Abuneeri agende, n’agenda mirembe.
22 And there! [the] servants of David and Joab [was] coming from the raid and plunder much with them they had brought and Abner not he [was] with David in Hebron for he had sent away him and he had gone in peace.
Awo abasajja ba Dawudi ne bakomawo ne Yowaabu, nga baleese omunyago munene ddala. Naye we baakomerawo nga Abuneeri takyali ne Dawudi e Kebbulooni, kubanga yali amusiibudde agende mirembe.
23 And Joab and all the army which [was] with him they came and people told to Joab saying he came Abner [the] son of Ner to the king and he has sent away him and he has gone in peace.
Yowaabu n’eggye lyonna bwe baatuuka, Yowaabu n’ategeezebwa nga Abuneeri mutabani wa Neeri bwe yazze eri kabaka, naye kabaka n’amusiibula, n’agenda mirembe.
24 And he went Joab to the king and he said what? have you done here! he came Abner to you why? this did you send away him and he has gone completely.
Awo Yowaabu n’agenda eri kabaka n’amugamba nti, “Wakoze ki ekyo, okuleka Abuneeri n’agenda?
25 You know Abner [the] son of Ner that to deceive you he came and to know exit your and (entrance your *Q(K)*) and to know all that you [are] doing.
Okimanyi nga Abuneeri mutabani wa Neeri, yazze okukubuzaabuza, n’okuketta ennyingira yo n’enfuluma yo, ne byonna by’okola?”
26 And he went out Joab from with David and he sent messengers after Abner and they brought back him from [the] Cistern of Sirah and David not he knew.
Yowaabu n’ava mu maaso ga Dawudi, n’atuma ababaka okugoberera Abuneeri, era ne bamukomyawo okuva ku luzzi lwa Siira, naye Dawudi n’atakimanya.
27 And he returned Abner Hebron and he turned aside him Joab into [the] middle of the gate (to speak *LA(bh)*) with him in quietness and he struck him there the belly and he died for [the] blood Asah-el brother his.
Awo Abuneeri bwe yakomawo e Kebbulooni, Yowaabu n’amutwala ku bbali w’omulyango, ne yeefuula ng’ayogera naye mu kyama, n’amufumita mu lubuto n’afa. Ekyo Yowaabu y’akikola okumusasula olw’omusaayi gwa Asakeri muganda we.
28 And he heard David from after thus and he said [am] innocent I and kingdom my from with Yahweh until perpetuity from [the] blood of Abner [the] son of Ner.
Oluvannyuma Dawudi bwe yakiwulira, n’ayogera nti, “Nze n’obwakabaka bwange tetulivunaanibwa ennaku zonna mu maaso ga Mukama olw’omusaayi gwa Abuneeri mutabani wa Neeri.
29 Let them whirl over [the] head of Joab and to all [the] house of father his and may not he be cut off from [the] house of Joab [one who] suffers a discharge and [one who] has a skin disease and [one who] takes hold on the spindle and [one who] falls by the sword and [one] lacking of bread.
Omusaayi gwe gubeerenga ku mutwe gwa Yowaabu ne ku nnyumba ya kitaawe, era mu nnyumba ya Yowaabu mulemenga okubulamu omuziku newaakubadde omugenge, newaakubadde omulema newaakubadde alifa n’ekitala, newaakubadde alibulwa emmere.”
30 And Joab and Abishai brother his they killed Abner on that he had killed Asahel brother their at Gibeon in the battle.
Yowaabu ne Abisaayi muganda we ne batta Abuneeri kubanga yatta muganda waabwe Asakeri mu lutalo e Gibyoni.
31 And he said David to Joab and to all the people which [was] with him tear garments your and gird yourselves sackcloth and mourn before Abner and the king David [was] walking after the bier.
Awo Dawudi n’agamba Yowaabu n’abantu bonna abaali naye nti, “Mwambale ebibukutu, mukungubagire mu maaso ga Abuneeri.” Kabaka Dawudi yennyini n’atambulira emabega w’essanduuko omwali omulambo.
32 And they buried Abner in Hebron and he lifted up the king voice his and he wept to [the] grave of Abner and they wept all the people.
Abuneeri n’aziikibwa e Kebbulooni, kabaka n’akaaba n’eddoboozi ddene awamu n’abantu bonna ku ntaana ya Abuneeri.
33 And he lamented the king because of Abner and he said ¿ like [the] death of a fool will he die Abner.
Kabaka n’akungubagira Abuneeri, ng’agamba nti, “Abuneeri teyandifudde ng’omusirusiru bw’afa.
34 Hand your not [were] bound and feet your not to bronze fetters they were brought near as falls before sons of injustice you have fallen and they repeated all the people to weep on him.
Emikono gyo tegyasibibwa, so n’ebigere byo tebyateekebwa mu masamba. Ng’omuntu bw’agwa mu maaso g’abo abatali batuukirivu, bwe wagwa bw’otyo.” Abantu bonna ne bamukungubagira.
35 And it came all the people to make to eat David bread while still day and he swore an oath David saying thus may he do to me God and thus may he add that except before goes the sun I will taste bread or all anything.
Oluvannyuma bonna ne bagezaako okuwaliriza Dawudi alye ku mmere ng’obudde bukyalaba, naye n’alayira ng’agamba nti, “Katonda ankole bw’atyo n’okukirawo, bwe nnaakomba ku mmere oba ku kintu kyonna, okutuusa enjuba ng’emaze okugwa.”
36 And all the people they paid regard and it was good in view their like all that he did the king in [the] eyes of all the people it was good.
Awo abantu bonna ne bakitegeera era ne kibasanyusa. Byonna kabaka bye yakolanga ne bisiimibwanga abantu.
37 And they knew all the people and all Israel on the day that that not it was from the king to kill Abner [the] son of Ner.
Era ku lunaku olwo abantu bonna ne Isirayiri yenna ne bategeera nga kabaka teyasiima kuttibwa kwa Abuneeri mutabani wa Neeri.
38 And he said the king to servants his ¿ not do you know that a leader and a great [man] he has fallen the day this in Israel.
Awo kabaka n’agamba abantu be nti, “Temumanyi nga leero mu Isirayiri mufuddemu omukungu era omusajja omuzira?
39 And I this day [am] weak and [am] anointed king and the men these [the] sons of Zeruiah [are too] hard for me may he repay Yahweh to [the] doer of the evil according to evil his.
Era leero, newaakubadde nga nze kabaka eyafukibwako amafuta, ndimunafu olw’abaana ba Zeruyiya abampitiriddeko obukakanyavu. Mukama asasule bw’atyo omukozi w’ebibi olw’ebikolwa bye!”
