2 Samuel 3
1 And it was the war long between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and David [was] going and strong and [the] house of Saul [were] going and weak.
Ja pitkällinen sota oli Saulin huoneen ja Davidin huoneen vaiheella; mutta David kasvoi ja menestyi, ja Saulin huone hävisi ja väheni.
2 (And they were born *Q(K)*) to David sons in Hebron and he was firstborn his Amnon of Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman].

3 And [was] second his Kileab (of Abigail *Q(k)*) [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite and [was] the third Absalom [the] son of Maacah [the] daughter of Talmai [the] king of Geshur.
Toinen Kileab Abigailista Nabalin emännästä, joka oli Karmelista; kolmas Absalom Maakan poika kuninkaan Talmain tyttären Gessurista;
4 And [was] the fourth Adonijah [the] son of Haggith and [was] the fifth Shephatiah [the] son of Abital.

5 And [was] the sixth Ithream of Eglah [the] wife of David these they were born to David in Hebron.
Kuudes Jitream Eglasta Davidin emännästä; nämä syntyivät Davidille Hebronissa.
6 And it was when was war between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and Abner he was strengthening himself in [the] house of Saul.

7 And [belonged] to Saul a concubine and name her [was] Rizpah [the] daughter of Aiah and he said to Abner why? have you gone into [the] concubine of father my.

8 And it burned to Abner exceedingly on [the] words of Ish-bosheth and he said ¿ [the] head of a dog [am] I which [belongs] to Judah this day I show loyalty with [the] house of - Saul father your to brothers his and to friend[s] his and not I have delivered you in [the] hand of David and you have visited on me [the] guilt of the woman this day.
Niin Abner vihastui suuresti Isbosetin sanoista ja sanoi: olenko minä koiran pää, joka Juudaa vastaan tein tänäpänä laupiuden sinun isäs Saulin huoneelle, ja hänen veljillensä ja ystävillensä, ja en ole antanut sinua Davidin käsiin! ja sinä soimaat minua tänäpänä vaimon tähden pahantekiäksi?
9 Thus may he do God to Abner and thus may he add to him if just as he swore Yahweh to David that so I will do for him.

10 To take away the kingdom from [the] house of Saul and to establish [the] throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan and to Beer Sheba.

11 And not he was able again to bring back Abner a word because feared he him.

12 And he sent Abner messengers - to David (in place of himself *Q(K)*) saying [belongs] to whom? [the] land saying make! covenant your with me and here! hand my [will be] with you to bring round to you all Israel.

13 And he said good I I will make with you a covenant only a thing one I [am] asking from with you saying not you will see face my for - except before bring you Michal [the] daughter of Saul when coming you to see face my.

14 And he sent David messengers to Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul saying give! wife my Michal whom I betrothed to myself for a hundred foreskins of Philistines.
Lähetti myös David sanansaattajat Isbosetin Saulin pojan tykö ja antoi hänelle sanoa: anna minulle minun emäntäni Mikal, jonka minä kihlasin minulleni sadalla Philistealaisten esinahalla.
15 And he sent Ish-bosheth and he took her from with a husband from with Paltiel [the] son of (Laish. *Q(K)*)

16 And he went with her husband her going and weeping after her to Bahurim and he said to him Abner go return and he returned.

17 And [the] word of Abner it was with [the] elders of Israel saying both yesterday as well as [the] third day you were seeking David to king over you.
Ja Abner puhui Israelin vanhimmille ja sanoi: te olette jo kauvan aikaa halunneet Davidia kuninkaaksenne.
18 And therefore act for Yahweh he has spoken to David saying by [the] hand of - David servant my to deliver people my Israel from [the] hand of [the] Philistines and from [the] hand of all enemies their.
Niin tehkäät nyt se; sillä Herra on sanonut Davidista; minä vapahdan minun kansani Israelin palveliani Davidin käden kautta Philistealaisten kädestä ja kaikkein heidän vihollistensa kädestä.
19 And he spoke also Abner in [the] ears of Benjamin and he went also Abner to speak in [the] ears of David at Hebron all that it was good in [the] eyes of Israel and in [the] eyes of all [the] house of Benjamin.
Puhui myös Abner BenJaminin korvain kuullen, ja meni myös puhumaan Davidin korville Hebroniin kaikkia mikä Israelille ja kaikelle BenJaminin huoneelle kelpasi.
20 And he came Abner to David Hebron and [were] with him twenty men and he made David for Abner and for [the] men who [were] with him a feast.
Kuin Abner tuli Davidin tykö Hebroniin ja kaksikymmentä miestä hänen kanssansa, teki David pidot Abnerille ja niille miehille, jotka hänen kanssansa olivat.
21 And he said Abner to David let me arise - and let me go and let me gather to lord my the king all Israel so they may make with you a covenant and you will reign over all that it desires self your and he sent away David Abner and he went in peace.
Ja Abner sanoi Davidille: minä nousen ja menen kokoomaan kaiken Israelin herrani kuninkaan tykö, että he tekisivät liiton sinun kanssas, ja sinä olisit kuningas niinkuin sinun sielus halajaa. Niin David päästi Abnerin menemään rauhassa.
22 And there! [the] servants of David and Joab [was] coming from the raid and plunder much with them they had brought and Abner not he [was] with David in Hebron for he had sent away him and he had gone in peace.
Ja katso, Davidin palveliat ja Joab tulivat sotaväen tyköä ja toivat kanssansa suuren saaliin; mutta Abner ei ollut silloin Davidin tykönä Hebronissa, sillä hän oli päästänyt hänen menemään rauhassa.
23 And Joab and all the army which [was] with him they came and people told to Joab saying he came Abner [the] son of Ner to the king and he has sent away him and he has gone in peace.
Kuin Joab ja kaikki sotajoukko olivat tulleet, sanottiin Joabille, sanoen: Abner Nerin poika on tullut kuninkaan tykö, ja hän on päästänyt hänet rauhassa menemään.
24 And he went Joab to the king and he said what? have you done here! he came Abner to you why? this did you send away him and he has gone completely.
Niin meni Joab kuninkaan tykö ja sanoi: mitäs olet tehnyt? Katso, Abner on tullut sinun tykös: miksis olet hänen päästänyt vapaasti menemään?
25 You know Abner [the] son of Ner that to deceive you he came and to know exit your and (entrance your *Q(K)*) and to know all that you [are] doing.
Etkös tunne Abneria Nerin poikaa? Hän on tullut sinua pettämään tiedustellaksensa ulos- ja sisällekäymistäs ja koetellaksensa kaikkia, mitäs teet.
26 And he went out Joab from with David and he sent messengers after Abner and they brought back him from [the] Cistern of Sirah and David not he knew.
Ja kuin Joab läksi Davidin tyköä, lähetti hän sanansaattajat Abnerin perään, ja he toivat hänen Borhasirasta; ja ei David siitä mitään tietänyt.
27 And he returned Abner Hebron and he turned aside him Joab into [the] middle of the gate (to speak *LA(bh)*) with him in quietness and he struck him there the belly and he died for [the] blood Asah-el brother his.
Kuin Abner tuli Hebroniin jälleen, vei Joab hänet keskelle porttia puhutellaksensa häntä erinänsä, ja pisti siellä häntä vatsaan, niin että hän kuoli, veljensä Asahelin veren tähden.
28 And he heard David from after thus and he said [am] innocent I and kingdom my from with Yahweh until perpetuity from [the] blood of Abner [the] son of Ner.
Kuin David sai sen tietää, sanoi hän: minä olen viatoin ja minun valtakuntani Herran edessä ijankaikkisesti Abnerin Nerin pojan verestä.
29 Let them whirl over [the] head of Joab and to all [the] house of father his and may not he be cut off from [the] house of Joab [one who] suffers a discharge and [one who] has a skin disease and [one who] takes hold on the spindle and [one who] falls by the sword and [one] lacking of bread.
Mutta tulkoon se Joabin pään päälle ja kaiken hänen isänsä huoneen, ja älköön puuttuko Joabin huoneessa se, jolla juoksu ja spitali on, ja joka sauvalla käy ja miekalla kaatuu, ja jolta leipä puuttuu.
30 And Joab and Abishai brother his they killed Abner on that he had killed Asahel brother their at Gibeon in the battle.
Ja näin tappoivat Joab ja hänen veljensä Abisai Abnerin, että hän löi kuoliaaksi Asahelin heidän veljensä sodassa Gibeonin tykönä.
31 And he said David to Joab and to all the people which [was] with him tear garments your and gird yourselves sackcloth and mourn before Abner and the king David [was] walking after the bier.
Mutta David sanoi Joabille ja kaikelle kansalle, jotka olivat hänen kanssansa: reväiskää vaatteenne rikki, ja puettakaat teitänne säkeillä, ja valittakaat Abnerin tähden. Ja kuningas David kävi paarien perässä.
32 And they buried Abner in Hebron and he lifted up the king voice his and he wept to [the] grave of Abner and they wept all the people.
Ja he hautasivat Abnerin Hebronissa, ja kuningas koroitti äänensä ja itki Abnerin haudan tykönä; itki myös kaikki kansa.
33 And he lamented the king because of Abner and he said ¿ like [the] death of a fool will he die Abner.
Ja kuningas valitti Abneria ja sanoi: onko Abner kuollut, niinkuin tyhmä kuolee?
34 Hand your not [were] bound and feet your not to bronze fetters they were brought near as falls before sons of injustice you have fallen and they repeated all the people to weep on him.
Sinun kätes ei olleet sidotut, sinun jalkas ei olleet vaskikahleissa: sinä olet kaatunut, niinkuin se, joka pahantekiäin edessä lankee. Ja kaikki kansa itki vielä enemmin häntä.
35 And it came all the people to make to eat David bread while still day and he swore an oath David saying thus may he do to me God and thus may he add that except before goes the sun I will taste bread or all anything.
Ja kaikki kansa tuli Davidin kanssa rualle, kuin vielä valkia päivä oli; ja David vannoi ja sanoi: Jumala tehköön minulle sen ja sen, jos minä leipää taikka jotakin muuta maistan, ennenkuin aurinko laskee.
36 And all the people they paid regard and it was good in view their like all that he did the king in [the] eyes of all the people it was good.
Ja kaikki kansa ymmärsi sen, ja se kelpasi heille, ja kaikki se hyvä minkä kuningas oli tehnyt kaiken kansan silmäin edessä.
37 And they knew all the people and all Israel on the day that that not it was from the king to kill Abner [the] son of Ner.
Ja kaikki kansa ja koko Israel ymmärsivät sinä päivänä, ettei se ollut kuninkaalta, että Abner Nerin poika oli tapettu.
38 And he said the king to servants his ¿ not do you know that a leader and a great [man] he has fallen the day this in Israel.
Ja kuningas sanoi palvelioillensa: ettekö te tiedä, että tänäpänä on yksi päämies, ja tosin suuri mies kaatunut Israelissa?
39 And I this day [am] weak and [am] anointed king and the men these [the] sons of Zeruiah [are too] hard for me may he repay Yahweh to [the] doer of the evil according to evil his.
Ja minä olen vielä heikko ja voideltu kuningas, mutta ne miehet ZeruJan pojat ovat kovemmat minua: Herra maksakoon sille, joka pahaa tekee, hänen pahuutensa jälkeen!
