< 2 Samuel 3 >

1 And it was the war long between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and David [was] going and strong and [the] house of Saul [were] going and weak.

2 (And they were born *Q(K)*) to David sons in Hebron and he was firstborn his Amnon of Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman].

3 And [was] second his Kileab (of Abigail *Q(k)*) [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite and [was] the third Absalom [the] son of Maacah [the] daughter of Talmai [the] king of Geshur.

4 And [was] the fourth Adonijah [the] son of Haggith and [was] the fifth Shephatiah [the] son of Abital.

5 And [was] the sixth Ithream of Eglah [the] wife of David these they were born to David in Hebron.

6 And it was when was war between [the] house of Saul and between [the] house of David and Abner he was strengthening himself in [the] house of Saul.

7 And [belonged] to Saul a concubine and name her [was] Rizpah [the] daughter of Aiah and he said to Abner why? have you gone into [the] concubine of father my.

8 And it burned to Abner exceedingly on [the] words of Ish-bosheth and he said ¿ [the] head of a dog [am] I which [belongs] to Judah this day I show loyalty with [the] house of - Saul father your to brothers his and to friend[s] his and not I have delivered you in [the] hand of David and you have visited on me [the] guilt of the woman this day.
Abner do dɔmedzoe le Is Boset ƒe nyawo ta hegblɔ bena, “Avue menye le Yuda be woanɔ ƒoyem tso afii yi afimɛa? Menyo na wò kple fofowò vɔ be nyemetsɔ mi de asi na David o. Nye fetue nye miakpɔ vodada le nye kple nyɔnu aɖe ŋua?
9 Thus may he do God to Abner and thus may he add to him if just as he swore Yahweh to David that so I will do for him.
Mawu nafia fu Abner vevie ne nyemewɔ nu si Yehowa do ŋugbe, eye wòka atam ɖe edzi be mawɔ na David o,
10 To take away the kingdom from [the] house of Saul and to establish [the] throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan and to Beer Sheba.
ne nyemexɔ fiaɖuƒe la tso Saul ƒe aƒe me eye ne nyemeɖo David ƒe fiazikpui la gɔme anyi ɖe Israel kple Yuda dzi, tso Dan va se ɖe Beerseba o.”
11 And not he was able again to bring back Abner a word because feared he him.
Is Boset meɖo eŋu o elabena enɔ vɔvɔ̃m na Abner.
12 And he sent Abner messengers - to David (in place of himself *Q(K)*) saying [belongs] to whom? [the] land saying make! covenant your with me and here! hand my [will be] with you to bring round to you all Israel.
Abner dɔ amewo ɖe David gbɔ be woagblɔ nɛ be yeaɖe asi le Israel ƒe fiaɖuƒe ŋu nɛ ale be wòawɔ ye yeazu aʋafia gã anɔ Israelʋakɔ la kple Yudaʋakɔ la ƒe ƒuƒoƒo nu.
13 And he said good I I will make with you a covenant only a thing one I [am] asking from with you saying not you will see face my for - except before bring you Michal [the] daughter of Saul when coming you to see face my.
David ɖo eŋu be, “Enyo, melɔ̃ gake nyemawɔ nubabla aɖeke kpli wò o va se ɖe esime nàkplɔ srɔ̃nye Mixal, ame si nye Saul vinyɔnu la vɛ nam.”
14 And he sent David messengers to Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul saying give! wife my Michal whom I betrothed to myself for a hundred foreskins of Philistines.
Ale David ɖo du ɖe Is Boset be, “Gbugbɔ srɔ̃nye Mixal nam elabena Filistitɔ alafa ɖeka ƒe agbe metsɔ na ɖe eta.”
15 And he sent Ish-bosheth and he took her from with a husband from with Paltiel [the] son of (Laish. *Q(K)*)

16 And he went with her husband her going and weeping after her to Bahurim and he said to him Abner go return and he returned.

17 And [the] word of Abner it was with [the] elders of Israel saying both yesterday as well as [the] third day you were seeking David to king over you.
Abner wɔ takpekpe kple Israel ƒe kplɔlawo eye wòɖo ŋku edzi na wo be, “Miedi be David nanye miaƒe fia ɣeyiɣi didi aɖee nye esi.”
18 And therefore act for Yahweh he has spoken to David saying by [the] hand of - David servant my to deliver people my Israel from [the] hand of [the] Philistines and from [the] hand of all enemies their.
Egblɔ na wo be, “Azã la su azɔ elabena Yehowa do ŋugbe na David be, ‘Nye dɔla, David dzie mato aɖe nye dukɔ, Israel tso Filistitɔwo kple woƒe futɔ bubuawo ƒe asi me!’”
19 And he spoke also Abner in [the] ears of Benjamin and he went also Abner to speak in [the] ears of David at Hebron all that it was good in [the] eyes of Israel and in [the] eyes of all [the] house of Benjamin.
Abner ƒo nu kple Benyamin ƒe viwo ƒe kplɔlawo hã. Emegbe la, eyi Hebron eye wògblɔ ale si wòwɔ nya la ŋu dɔ kple Israelviwo kple Benyamin ƒe viwo la na David.
20 And he came Abner to David Hebron and [were] with him twenty men and he made David for Abner and for [the] men who [were] with him a feast.
Esi Abner kplɔ ame blaeve ɖe asi va David gbɔ le Hebron la, David xɔ wo nyuie eye wòɖo kplɔ̃ na wo.
21 And he said Abner to David let me arise - and let me go and let me gather to lord my the king all Israel so they may make with you a covenant and you will reign over all that it desires self your and he sent away David Abner and he went in peace.
Esi Abner nɔ dzodzom la, edo ŋugbe na David be, “Ne meɖo aƒe la, mayɔ Israelviwo katã aƒo ƒu na nye aƒetɔ fia la, eye mana woatia wò woƒe fiae abe ale si nèdi xoxoxo ene.” Ale David na Abner trɔ dzo dedie.
22 And there! [the] servants of David and Joab [was] coming from the raid and plunder much with them they had brought and Abner not he [was] with David in Hebron for he had sent away him and he had gone in peace.
Esi Abner trɔ dzo teti ko la, Yoab kple David ƒe aʋawɔla aɖewo gbɔ tso nuwo haƒe eye wotsɔ afunyinuwo gbɔe.
23 And Joab and all the army which [was] with him they came and people told to Joab saying he came Abner [the] son of Ner to the king and he has sent away him and he has gone in peace.
Esi wògblɔ na Yoab be Abner, Ner vi, va kpɔ Fia la ɖa eye wòtrɔ dzo dedie le ŋutifafa me eteƒe medidi o la,
24 And he went Joab to the king and he said what? have you done here! he came Abner to you why? this did you send away him and he has gone completely.
Yoab yi Fia la gbɔ eye wògblɔ be, “Nu kae nye esi nèwɔ? Kpɔ ɖa, Abner va gbɔwò. Nu ka ta nèɖe asi le eŋu? Fifia edzo!
25 You know Abner [the] son of Ner that to deceive you he came and to know exit your and (entrance your *Q(K)*) and to know all that you [are] doing.
Ènya Abner, Ner ƒe vi, nyuie; ɖe wòva be yeable wò, yealé ŋku ɖe wò afɔɖeɖewo ŋu eye yeanya nu sia nu si wɔm nèle.”
26 And he went out Joab from with David and he sent messengers after Abner and they brought back him from [the] Cistern of Sirah and David not he knew.
Yoab dɔ amewo ɖa be woana Abner natrɔ agbɔ. Ame dɔdɔawo tu Abner le Sira ƒe vudo la gbɔ eye wòtrɔ gbɔ kpli wo. Ke David menya naneke tso nu sia ŋu o.
27 And he returned Abner Hebron and he turned aside him Joab into [the] middle of the gate (to speak *LA(bh)*) with him in quietness and he struck him there the belly and he died for [the] blood Asah-el brother his.
Esi Abner va ɖo Hebron la, Yoab ɖe kpɔe le dua ƒe agbonu abe nya ɣaɣla aɖee wòbe yeagblɔ nɛ ene, ke eɖe adekpui eye wòwui abe hlɔ̃biabiae ɖe nɔvia Asahel, ame si Abner wu la ta ene.
28 And he heard David from after thus and he said [am] innocent I and kingdom my from with Yahweh until perpetuity from [the] blood of Abner [the] son of Ner.
Emegbe, esi David se nu tso nu sia ŋu la, egblɔ be “Nye kple nye fiaɖuƒe la, míeɖi fɔ le Ner ƒe vi, Abner ƒe ʋu ŋuti le Yehowa ŋkume o yi ɖe mavɔ me.
29 Let them whirl over [the] head of Joab and to all [the] house of father his and may not he be cut off from [the] house of Joab [one who] suffers a discharge and [one who] has a skin disease and [one who] takes hold on the spindle and [one who] falls by the sword and [one] lacking of bread.
Eƒe ʋu nava Yoab kple fofoa ƒe aƒe la katã ƒe ta dzi. Na be ame si ŋu abi makumaku alo kpodɔ le alo nuwɔamitɔ alo ame si tsi yinu loo alo dɔwuitɔ magbe Yoab ƒe aƒemenɔnɔ gbeɖe o.”
30 And Joab and Abishai brother his they killed Abner on that he had killed Asahel brother their at Gibeon in the battle.
Yoab kple nɔvia Abisai wowu Abner elabena ewu wo nɔviŋutsu Asahel le aʋa le Gibeon.
31 And he said David to Joab and to all the people which [was] with him tear garments your and gird yourselves sackcloth and mourn before Abner and the king David [was] walking after the bier.
David gblɔ na Yoab kple ame siwo katã le eŋu la be, “Midze miaƒe awuwo, mita akpanya eye mifa na Abner.” Fia David ŋutɔ dze amekukuɖaka la yome yi ameɖiƒe.
32 And they buried Abner in Hebron and he lifted up the king voice his and he wept to [the] grave of Abner and they wept all the people.
Woɖi Abner ɖe Hebron eye fia la fa avi hehehe le Abner ƒe yɔdo to, nenema kee nye ameawo katã hã.
33 And he lamented the king because of Abner and he said ¿ like [the] death of a fool will he die Abner.
Fia David dzi konyifaha sia na Abner be, “Ɖe Abner aku abe yakame enea?
34 Hand your not [were] bound and feet your not to bronze fetters they were brought near as falls before sons of injustice you have fallen and they repeated all the people to weep on him.
Womebla wò asiwo hafi o. Womede ga wò afɔwo hafi o. Èku abe ale si wokuna le ŋutasẽlawo ƒe asi me ene.” Eye ameawo katã gafa avi nɛ.
35 And it came all the people to make to eat David bread while still day and he swore an oath David saying thus may he do to me God and thus may he add that except before goes the sun I will taste bread or all anything.
Ale wo katã wova eye woƒoe ɖe David nu be wòaɖu nane esi zã medo haɖe o. Ke David ka atam be, “Mawu nafiam, agafiam ɖe edzi ne made abolo alo nu bubu aɖe nu me hafi ɣe naɖo to!”
36 And all the people they paid regard and it was good in view their like all that he did the king in [the] eyes of all the people it was good.
Ameawo katã de dzesi nya sia eye wokpɔ ŋudzedze le eŋu; le nyateƒe me la, nu sia nu si fia la wɔ la dze wo ŋu.
37 And they knew all the people and all Israel on the day that that not it was from the king to kill Abner [the] son of Ner.

38 And he said the king to servants his ¿ not do you know that a leader and a great [man] he has fallen the day this in Israel.
David gblɔ na eƒe amewo be, “Kplɔla gã aɖe kple amegã aɖe ku egbe le Israel
39 And I this day [am] weak and [am] anointed king and the men these [the] sons of Zeruiah [are too] hard for me may he repay Yahweh to [the] doer of the evil according to evil his.
eye togbɔ be menye Mawu ƒe amesiamina hã la, nyemate ŋu awɔ naneke kple Zeruya ƒe vi eve siawo o. Yehowa naɖo vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖi teƒe na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo.”
