2 Samuel 24
1 And it repeated [the] anger of Yahweh to burn on Israel and he incited David against them saying go count Israel and Judah.
Una vez más, la ira del Señor ardía contra Israel, y moviendo a David contra ellos, dijo: Ve, toma el censo de Israel y Judá.
2 And he said the king to Joab - [the] commander of the army who [was] with him go about please in all [the] tribes of Israel from Dan and to Beer Sheba and enroll the people and I will know [the] number of the people.
Entonces el rey dijo a Joab y a los capitanes del ejército que estaban con él: Ve ahora por todas las tribus de Israel, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, y haz que cuenten a toda la gente, para que pueda estar seguro del número de personas.
3 And he said Joab to the king and may he add Yahweh God your to the people like them - and like them a hundred times and [the] eyes of lord my the king [are] seeing [it] and lord my the king why? does he delight in the thing this.
Y Joab dijo al rey: Cualquiera que sea el número de la gente, que el Señor aumente cien veces más, y que los ojos de mi señor el rey lo vean, pero ¿por qué mi señor el rey toma? placer en hacer esto?
4 And it prevailed [the] word of the king to Joab and over [the] commanders of the army and he went out Joab and commanders of the army before the king to enroll the people Israel.
Pero la orden del rey era más fuerte que Joab y los capitanes del ejército. Y Joab y los capitanes del ejército salieron del rey para tomar el censo de los hijos de Israel.
5 And they passed over the Jordan and they encamped at Aroer [the] south of the city which [is] in [the] middle of the wadi Gad and to Jazer.
Y recorrieron el Jordán, y partiendo de Aroer, del pueblo que se encuentra en el centro del valle, se dirigieron a los gaditas y siguieron hasta Jazer;
6 And they came Gilead towards and to [the] land of Tahtim Hodshi and they came Dan towards Jaan and around to Sidon.
Entonces llegaron a Galaad y a la tierra de los hititas a la tierra baja de Hodsi; y vinieron a Dan, y desde Dan vinieron a Sidón,
7 And they came [the] fortress of Tyre and all [the] cities of the Hivite[s] and the Canaanite[s] and they went out to [the] Negev of Judah Beer Sheba.
Y al pueblo amurallado de Tiro, y a todos los pueblos de los heveos y cananeos: y salieron al sur de Judá en Beer-sheba.
8 And they went about in all the land and they came from [the] end of nine months and twenty day[s] Jerusalem.
Luego de recorrer toda la tierra en todas direcciones, llegaron a Jerusalén al cabo de nueve meses y veinte días.
9 And he gave Joab [the] number of [the] muster of the people to the king and it was Israel eight hundred thousand man of strength [who] drew a sword and [the] man of Judah [was] five hundred thousand man.
Y Joab dio al rey el número de todo el pueblo: había en Israel ochocientos mil combatientes capaces de tomar las armas; Y los hombres de Judá fueron quinientos mil.
10 And it struck [the] heart of David him after thus he had counted the people. And he said David to Yahweh I have sinned exceedingly [that] which I have done and now O Yahweh take away please [the] iniquity of servant your for I have acted foolishly exceedingly.
Y después de que el pueblo fue contado, el corazón de David se turbó. Y David dijo al Señor: Grande ha sido mi pecado al hacer esto; Pero ahora, oh Señor, perdona el pecado a tu siervo, porque lo he hecho muy tontamente.
11 And he arose David in the morning. And [the] word of Yahweh it came to Gad the prophet [the] seer of David saying.
Y se levantó David por la mañana; ahora la palabra del Señor había venido al profeta Gad, vidente de David, diciendo:
12 Go and you will speak to David thus he says Yahweh three [things] I [am] laying on you choose for yourself one from them so I may do [it] to you.
Ve y dile a David: El Señor dice: Se te ofrecen tres cosas: di cuál de ellas escoges y te lo haré.
13 And he went Gad to David and he told to him and he said to him ¿ will it come to you seven years - famine - in land your or? three months fleeing you before opponents your and he [will be] pursuing you and or? to be three days pestilence in land your now know and see what? will I bring back [the] [one who] sent me word.
Entonces Gad se acercó a David, le dijo qué prefieres: ¿Siete años de hambruna en tu tierra? ¿O huir de tus enemigos durante tres meses, mientras te persiguen? ¿O tendrá tres días de peste en tu tierra? piensa y decide qué respuesta debo darle al que me envió.
14 And he said David to Gad it is distress to me exceedingly let us fall please in [the] hand of Yahweh for [are] great (compassion his *Q(K)*) and in [the] hand of humankind may not I fall.
Entonces David dijo a Gad: Esta es una decisión difícil para mí: preferimos ir a las manos del Señor, porque grandes son sus misericordias: no me dejes en manos de los hombres.
15 And he gave Yahweh pestilence in Israel from the morning and until a time of an appointed time and he died of the people from Dan and to Beer Sheba seventy thousand man.
Entonces él Señor mandó la peste sobre Israel; desde la mañana hasta el tiempo señalado cuando la enfermedad llegó entre la gente, causando la muerte de setenta mil hombres desde Dan hasta Beerseba.
16 And he stretched out hand his the angel - Jerusalem to destroy it and he relented Yahweh concerning the harm and he said to the angel the destroyer among the people enough now let drop hand your and [the] angel of Yahweh he was near [the] threshing floor of (Araunah *Q(K)*) the Jebusite.
Y cuando la mano del ángel se extendió en dirección a Jerusalén, para su destrucción, el Señor se arrepintió del mal, y dijo al ángel que estaba enviando destrucción sobre la gente: Basta; no hagas mas Y el ángel del Señor estaba junto donde se trillaba el grano de Arauna, el jebuseo.
17 And he said David to Yahweh when saw he - the angel - who was striking down the people and he said here! I (the shepherd *X*) I have sinned and I I have done wrong and these the sheep what? have they done let it be please hand your on me and on [the] house of father my.
Y cuando David vio al ángel que estaba causando la destrucción de la gente, le dijo al Señor: En verdad, el pecado es mío. He hecho mal, pero estas son sólo ovejas; ¿qué han hecho? Que tu mano esté contra mí y contra mi familia.
18 And he came Gad to David on the day that and he said to him go up raise up to Yahweh an altar on [the] threshing floor of (Araunah *Q(K)*) the Jebusite.
Y aquel día Gad se acercó a David y le dijo: Sube, y levanta un altar al Señor en el suelo de Arauna, el jebuseo.
19 And he went up David according to [the] word of Gad just as he had commanded Yahweh.
Entonces David subió, como Gad había dicho y como el Señor había dado órdenes.
20 And he looked down Araunah and he saw the king and servants his passing on to him and he went out Araunah and he bowed down to the king face his [the] ground towards.
Y Arauna, mirando hacia afuera, vio que el rey y sus siervos se acercaban a él; y Arauna salió, y descendió sobre su rostro a la tierra delante del rey.
21 And he said Araunah why? has he come lord my the king to servant his and he said David to buy from with you the threshing floor to build an altar to Yahweh so it may be restrained the plague from on the people.
Y Arauna dijo: ¿Por qué ha venido mi señor el rey a su siervo? Y David dijo: Para darte un precio por tu grano, para que pueda levantar un altar al Señor, y la enfermedad pueda ser detenida entre la gente.
22 And he said Araunah to David let him take and let him offer up lord my the king the good (in eyes his *Q(K)*) see the ox[en] for the burnt offering and the threshing-sledges and [the] equipment of the ox[en] for the wood.
Y Arauna dijo a David: Que mi señor, el rey, tome todo lo que le parezca, y haga una ofrenda. Mira, aquí están los bueyes para la ofrenda quemada, y los trillos y los yugos de buey por madera:
23 Everything he gives Araunah O king to the king. And he said Araunah to the king Yahweh God your may he accept favorably you.
Todo esto te da el siervo de mi señor el rey. Y Arauna dijo: Que el Señor tu Dios esté complacido con tu ofrenda.
24 And he said the king to Araunah In-deed certainly I will buy [it] from you for a price and not I will offer up to Yahweh God my burnt offerings without paying and he bought David the threshing floor and the ox[en] for silver shekels fifty.
Y el rey dijo a Arauna: No, pero te daré un precio por ello; No daré al Señor mi Dios las ofrendas quemadas por las cuales no he dado nada. Entonces David tomó el piso de grano y los bueyes por cincuenta siclos de plata.
25 And he built there David an altar to Yahweh and he offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings and he was entreated Yahweh for the land and it was restrained the plague from on Israel.
Y allí David levantó un altar al Señor, haciendo ofrendas quemadas y ofrendas de paz. Entonces el Señor escuchó su oración por la tierra, y la enfermedad terminó en Israel.
