2 Samuel 23
1 And these [are] [the] words of David last [the] utterance of David [the] son of Jesse and [the] utterance of the man [who] he was raised up height [the] [one] anointed of [the] God of Jacob and [the] pleasant [one] of [the] songs of Israel.
Dies sind Davids letzte Worte, ein Ausspruch des Isaisohnes David und ein Ausspruch des Mannes, der als Gesalbter des Jakobsgottes und als Sänger der Lieder Israels dastand:
2 [the] spirit of Yahweh he has spoken by me and speech his [is] on tongue my.
Es spricht der Geist des Herrn durch mich; auf meiner Zunge ist sein Wort.
3 He said [the] God of Israel to me he spoke [the] rock of Israel [one who] rules over humankind righteous [one who] rules [the] fear of God.
Gesprochen hat der Gott von Israel. Gesprochen hat zu mir der Fels von Israel: 'Wer über Menschen herrscht gerecht, von Gottesfurcht erfüllt, als Herrscher,
4 And like [the] light of morning [when] it dawns [the] sun morning not clouds from brightness from rain vegetation from [the] earth.
der gleicht dem Licht am Morgen, am wolkenlosen Morgen, wenn hell die Sonne strahlt, die Gräser aus dem Boden sprossen läßt.'
5 For not thus [is] house? my with God for a covenant of perpetuity he has made to me arranged in everything and preserved for all salvation my and every desire for not will he make grow?
Steht also nicht mein Haus zu Gott? - Hat er doch einen ewig gültigen Bund mit mir geschlossen, der festgestellt in allem und gesichert ist. - Denn all mein Streben und mein Wünschen, läßt er's denn nicht gelingen?
6 And a worthless person [is] like thorn[s] [which is] chased away all of them for not in a hand people will take.
Die Frevler aber sind wie lose Dornen alle zumal nicht in die Hand zu nehmen.
7 And anyone [who] he will touch them he will arm himself iron and [the] wood of a spear and with fire certainly they will be burned at the dwelling.
Wer auf sie trifft, der schlägt mit Eisen, schlägt mit dem Lanzenschaft darein, sie werden ohne Widerstand verbrannt."
8 These [are] [the] names of the warriors who [belonged] to David Josheb-Basshebeth a Tahkemonite - [the] chief of the three he Adino (the Eznite *Q(K)*) on eight hundred [one] slain at a time (one. *Q(K)*)
Das sind die Namen der Helden, die David hatte: des Chakmoni Sohn Josabam, das Haupt der Drei. Er stritt mit seinem Speere gegen 800 Unreine auf einmal.
9 (And [was] after him *Q(k)*) Eleazar [the] son of (Dodo *Q(K)*) [the] son of Ahoah among three (the warriors *Q(K)*) with David when defied they the Philistines [who] they were gathered there for battle and they went up [the] man of Israel.
Nach ihm kommt der Achochiter Eleazar, Dodis Sohn; er war unter den drei Kriegern bei David; am Blutsteinfelsen ging er gegen die Philister los. Diese hatten sich dort zum Kampfe gesammelt. Da zog sich Israels Mannschaft zurück.
10 He he arose and he struck down among the Philistines until - for it was weary hand his and it cleaved hand his to the sword and he did Yahweh a deliverance great on the day that and the people they returned after him only to strip.
Er aber hielt stand und hieb auf die Philister ein, bis seine Hand ermattete und seine Hand am Schwerte kleben blieb. Und der Herr schaffte an jenem Tage einen großen Sieg; das Volk zog ihm nun nach, aber nur um zu plündern.
11 And [was] after him Shamma [the] son of Agee [the] Hararite and they were gathered [the] Philistines to Lehi and it was there [the] portion of the field full of lentils and the people it fled from before [the] Philistines.
Nach ihm kommt der Harariter Samma, des Age Sohn. Einst sammelten sich die Philister in Lechi. Dort war ein Feld voller Garben. Da aber das Volk vor den Philistern floh,
12 And he took his stand in [the] middle of the portion and he delivered it and he struck down [the] Philistines and he did Yahweh a deliverance great.
Stellte er sich mitten in das Feld, rettete es und schlug die Philister, und der Herr schaffte einen großen Sieg.
13 And they went down (three *Q(K)*) from the thirty leader[s] and they came to [the] harvest to David to [the] cave of Adullam and a community of Philistines [was] encamped in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.
Drei von den dreißig Hauptleuten stiegen hinab und kamen zu dem Felsen, zu David in die Höhle von Adullam. Die Philisterschar aber lagerte in der Rephaimebene.
14 And David then [was] in the stronghold and a garrison of Philistines then [was] Beth-lehem.
David war damals in der Feste, der Philisterposten aber in Bethlehem.
15 And he desired David and he said who? will he give to drink me water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [is] at the gate.
Da spürte David ein Gelüste und sprach: "Wer holt mir Trinkwasser aus dem Brunnen in Bethlehem am Tor?"
16 And they broke through [the] three the warriors in [the] camp of [the] Philistines and they drew water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [was] at the gate and they carried [it] and they brought [it] to David and not he was willing to drink them and he poured out them to Yahweh.
Da schlugen sich die drei Krieger durch das Philisterlager, schöpften aus dem Brunnen in Bethlehem am Tor und brachten es David. Aber er wollte nicht mehr trinken, sondern spendete es dem Herrn.
17 And he said far be it to me O Yahweh than to do I this [thing] ¿ [the] blood of the men who went with lives their and not he was willing to drink them these [things] they did [the] three the warriors.
Er sprach: "Ferne sei es mir, Herr, daß ich solches tue! Ist es doch Blut der Männer, die unter Lebensgefahr hingingen." Und er wollte es nicht trinken. So hatten die drei Helden getan.
18 And Abishai [the] brother of - Joab [the] son of Zeruiah he [was] [the] chief (of the three *Q(K)*) and he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain and [belonged] to him a name among the three.
Der Serujasohn Abisai, Joabs Bruder, war das Haupt der Dreißig. Er schwang seinen Speer gegen 300 Unreine und war bei den Dreien angesehen.
19 More than the three ¿ for [was he] honored and he became to them a commander and to the three not he came.
Er wurde also von den Dreien ausgezeichnet, und so ward er bei ihnen Hauptmann. Aber an die Drei reichte er nicht heran.
20 And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada [was] a son of a man (of strength *Q(K)*) great of deeds from Kabzeel he he struck down [the] two [the] lion-like men of Moab and he he went down and he struck down (the lion *Q(K)*) in [the] midst of the pit on [the] day of the snow.
Des Jojada Sohn Benaja war der Sohn eines richtigen, tatenreichen Mannes aus Kabseel. Er selber hatte Moabs beide Kämpen erschlagen. Auch er war hinabgestiegen und hatte den Löwen mitten im Brunnen erschlagen, als Schnee fiel.
21 And he he struck down a man Egyptian (a man of *Q(K)*) appearance and [was] in [the] hand of the Egyptian a spear and he went down to him with the staff and he seized the spear from [the] hand of the Egyptian and he killed him with own spear his.
Auch hatte er einen Ägypter erschlagen, einen riesigen Mann. Der Ägypter hatte einen Speer in der Hand. Er aber ging mit einem Stock auf ihn los, entriß dem Ägypter die Lanze und tötete ihn mit seinem eigenen Speer.
22 These [things] he did Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and [belonged] to him a name among three the warriors.
Dies hatte Benaja, Jojadas Sohn, getan. Auch er hatte einen Namen bei den drei Helden.
23 More than the thirty [he was] honored and to the three not he came and he appointed him David to bodyguard his.
Unter den Dreißig hatte er sich ausgezeichnet. Aber an die Drei reichte er nicht heran. David stellte ihn bei seiner Leibwache an.
24 Asah-el [the] brother of Joab [was] among the thirty Elhanan [the] son of Dodo Beth-lehem.
Unter den Dreißig waren Joabs Bruder Asahel, ferner Dodos Sohn Elchanan aus Bethlehem,
25 Shammah the Harodite Elika the Harodite.
der Charoditer Samma, der Charoditer Elika,
26 Helez the Paltite Ira [the] son of Ikkesh the Tekoite.
der Paltiter Cheles, der Tekoiter Ira, des Ikkes Sohn,
27 Abiezer the Anathothite Mebunnai the Hushathite.
der Anatotiter Abiezer, der Chusatiter Mebunnai,
28 Zalmon the Ahohite Maharai the Netophathite.
der Achochiter Salmon, der Netophatiter Maharai,
29 Heleb [the] son of Baanah the Netophathite. Ittai [the] son of Ribai from Gibeah of [the] descendants of Benjamin.
der Netophatiter Cheleb, Baanas Sohn Ittai aus Gibea in Benjamin,
30 Benaiah [the] Pirathonite Hiddai from [the] wadis of Gaash.
der Piratotiter Benaja, Hiddai aus Nachale Gaas,
31 Abi-Albon the Arbathite Azmaveth the Barhumite.

32 Eliahba the Shaalbonite [the] sons of Jashen Jonathan.
der Saalboniter Eljachba, die Söhne Jasens, Jonatan,
33 ([the] son of *X*) Shammah the Hararite Ahiam [the] son of Sharar the Hararite.
der Harariter Samma, der Arariter Achiam, Sarars Sohn,
34 Eliphelet [the] son of Ahasbai [the] son of the Maacathite. Eliam [the] son of Ahithophel the Gilonite.
der Maakatiter Eliphelet, Achasbais Sohn, der Giloniter Eliam, Achitophels Sohn,
35 (Hezrai *Q(K)*) the Carmelite Paarai the Arbite.
der Karmeliter Chesro, der Arbiter Paarai,
36 Igal [the] son of Nathan from Zobah. Bani the Gadite.
Igal, Natans Sohn aus Soba, der Gaditer Bani,
37 Zelek the Ammonite. Naharai the Beerothite ([the] bearer of *Q(K)*) [the] armor of Joab [the] son of Zeruiah.
der Ammoniter Selek, der Beerotiter Nakarai sowie des Serujasohnes Joab Waffenträger,
38 Ira the Ithrite Gareb the Ithrite.

39 Uriah the Hittite all [were] thirty and seven.
und Urias, der Chittiter. Zusammen siebenunddreißig.
