2 Samuel 23
1 And these [are] [the] words of David last [the] utterance of David [the] son of Jesse and [the] utterance of the man [who] he was raised up height [the] [one] anointed of [the] God of Jacob and [the] pleasant [one] of [the] songs of Israel.
Voici le dernier discours de David: Parole de David, fils de Jessé, parole de l’homme haut placé, de l’élu du Dieu de Jacob, du chantre aimable d’Israël:
2 [the] spirit of Yahweh he has spoken by me and speech his [is] on tongue my.
L’Esprit du Seigneur a parlé par ma bouche, son verbe repose sur ma langue.
3 He said [the] God of Israel to me he spoke [the] rock of Israel [one who] rules over humankind righteous [one who] rules [the] fear of God.
Il a dit, le Dieu d’Israël, Il a prononcé à mon sujet, le Rocher d’Israël: "Qui domine sur les hommes doit être juste, gouverner dans la crainte de Dieu.
4 And like [the] light of morning [when] it dawns [the] sun morning not clouds from brightness from rain vegetation from [the] earth.
Quand le soleil brille, éclairant le matin un matin sans nuages par ses rayons et par la pluie la verdure sort de la terre…
5 For not thus [is] house? my with God for a covenant of perpetuity he has made to me arranged in everything and preserved for all salvation my and every desire for not will he make grow?
Ma maison n’est-elle pas ainsi avec Dieu? Aussi m’a-t-il assuré une alliance perpétuelle, alliance bien ordonnée et bien gardée; ne fait-il pas germer mon salut et l’objet de tous mes désirs?
6 And a worthless person [is] like thorn[s] [which is] chased away all of them for not in a hand people will take.
Les pervers sont tous comme des épines qu’on évite, qu’on ne saisit point avec la main;
7 And anyone [who] he will touch them he will arm himself iron and [the] wood of a spear and with fire certainly they will be burned at the dwelling.
Si quelqu’un y touche, il s’arme de fer ou du bois d’une lance: c’est par le feu qu’il faut les détruire sur place.
8 These [are] [the] names of the warriors who [belonged] to David Josheb-Basshebeth a Tahkemonite - [the] chief of the three he Adino (the Eznite *Q(K)*) on eight hundred [one] slain at a time (one. *Q(K)*)
Voici les noms des vaillants guerriers de David: Yocheb-Bachébeth, le Tahkemonite, chef de la garde, le même qui, en une seule rencontre, tua huit cents hommes avec sa lance.
9 (And [was] after him *Q(k)*) Eleazar [the] son of (Dodo *Q(K)*) [the] son of Ahoah among three (the warriors *Q(K)*) with David when defied they the Philistines [who] they were gathered there for battle and they went up [the] man of Israel.
Après lui, Eléazar, fils de Dodo, fils d’Ahohi, l’un des trois vaillants compagnons de David, qui bravèrent les Philistins rassemblés là pour la bataille, quand les Israélites battirent en retraite;
10 He he arose and he struck down among the Philistines until - for it was weary hand his and it cleaved hand his to the sword and he did Yahweh a deliverance great on the day that and the people they returned after him only to strip.
lui s’élança et abattit des Philistins jusqu’à ce que sa main fût engourdie et comme collée à son épée. Ce jour-là, le Seigneur procura une grande victoire au peuple, qui revint derrière son chef, mais pour piller.
11 And [was] after him Shamma [the] son of Agee [the] Hararite and they were gathered [the] Philistines to Lehi and it was there [the] portion of the field full of lentils and the people it fled from before [the] Philistines.
Après lui, Chamma, fils d’Aghé, le Hararite. Les Philistins s’étaient rassemblés en corps d’armée. Là se trouvait une pièce de terre pleine de lentilles, et le peuple fuyait devant les Philistins.
12 And he took his stand in [the] middle of the portion and he delivered it and he struck down [the] Philistines and he did Yahweh a deliverance great.
Mais lui, il prit position au milieu du champ, le défendit et battit les Philistins; le Seigneur opéra ainsi une grande délivrance.
13 And they went down (three *Q(K)*) from the thirty leader[s] and they came to [the] harvest to David to [the] cave of Adullam and a community of Philistines [was] encamped in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.
Trois des trente chefs descendirent un jour, au temps de la moisson, et arrivèrent près de David, dans la caverne d’Adoullam un corps de Philistins se trouvait campé dans la vallée de Rephaïm.
14 And David then [was] in the stronghold and a garrison of Philistines then [was] Beth-lehem.
David était alors dans la forteresse, et les Philistins avaient un avant-poste à Bethléem.
15 And he desired David and he said who? will he give to drink me water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [is] at the gate.
David eut un désir et dit: "Ah! Si on pouvait me faire boire de l’eau de la citerne qui est à la porte de Bethléem!"
16 And they broke through [the] three the warriors in [the] camp of [the] Philistines and they drew water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [was] at the gate and they carried [it] and they brought [it] to David and not he was willing to drink them and he poured out them to Yahweh.
Les trois guerriers s’ouvrirent un passage par le camp des Philistins, puisèrent de l’eau à la citerne qui est à la porte de Bethléem et l’apportèrent à David; mais celui-ci ne voulut pas la boire et en fit une libation à l’Eternel,
17 And he said far be it to me O Yahweh than to do I this [thing] ¿ [the] blood of the men who went with lives their and not he was willing to drink them these [things] they did [the] three the warriors.
en disant: "Dieu me préserve de faire pareille chose! N’Est-ce pas le sang de ces hommes qui sont allés là au péril de leur vie?" Il refusa donc de boire. Voilà ce que firent ces trois guerriers.
18 And Abishai [the] brother of - Joab [the] son of Zeruiah he [was] [the] chief (of the three *Q(K)*) and he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain and [belonged] to him a name among the three.
Puis Abisaï, frère de Joab, fils de Cerouya, le chef des Trois: il brandit un jour sa lance sur trois cents ennemis qu’il immola, et se fit un nom parmi les Trois.
19 More than the three ¿ for [was he] honored and he became to them a commander and to the three not he came.
Il fut plus estimé que les Trente, car il devint leur chef, cependant il n’arriva point jusqu’aux Trois.
20 And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada [was] a son of a man (of strength *Q(K)*) great of deeds from Kabzeel he he struck down [the] two [the] lion-like men of Moab and he he went down and he struck down (the lion *Q(K)*) in [the] midst of the pit on [the] day of the snow.
Puis Benaïahou, fils de Joïada, d’un vaillant aux nombreux exploits, originaire de Kabceël; ce fut lui qui triompha des deux Ariel de Moab; ce fut lui aussi qui descendit et tua un lion dans une fosse par un jour de neige.
21 And he he struck down a man Egyptian (a man of *Q(K)*) appearance and [was] in [the] hand of the Egyptian a spear and he went down to him with the staff and he seized the spear from [the] hand of the Egyptian and he killed him with own spear his.
Il tua aussi un Egyptien, homme de grande mine, et, dans la main de l’Egyptien, il y avait une lance: il descendit vers lui avec un bâton, et il arracha la lance de la main de l’Egyptien et le tua avec sa lance.
22 These [things] he did Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and [belonged] to him a name among three the warriors.
Voilà ce que fit Benaïahou, fils de Joïada, renommé parmi les trois héros.
23 More than the thirty [he was] honored and to the three not he came and he appointed him David to bodyguard his.
Il fut plus estimé que les Trente, mais il n’arriva pas jusqu’aux Trois. David l’admit dans son conseil.
24 Asah-el [the] brother of Joab [was] among the thirty Elhanan [the] son of Dodo Beth-lehem.
Assahel, frère de Joab, fut l’un des Trente. Puis Elhanan, fils de Dodo, de Bethléem;
25 Shammah the Harodite Elika the Harodite.

26 Helez the Paltite Ira [the] son of Ikkesh the Tekoite.
